Hello All!
New here on this forum. Over the last two days, I have felt periodic ticking (well its rythmic like a clock's ticking on the right side of my womb...) it lasts abt 10mins sometimes less, sometimes more...
Anyone else experience this? Is this the baby hiccuping or or something else?
Am curious and probably slightly concerned...

Both my girls had hiccups regularly in the womb and then once they were born. Although it feels a bit weird there is nothing to worry about.

Same with me. my daughter had the hiccups inside nearly every night at the same time, now she is out, she has them more often (about 3 times a day  ) but she also gets them the same time every night still.

Raleigh was big on hiccuping in the womb. It'd be like rhythmical jolts for a good 10 minutes or so at least twice a day from around 34wks gestation. She has a lot of hiccups now she's in the big wide world.

Both my boys hiccuped in the womb. My first son would get hiccups 2-3 times a day and they would last for about 45 minutes!!! My second son didn't get them as often or as long but he certainly still had them. As both my boys were big (4.77kg & 5.01kgs) you could actually see my belly bouncing with each hiccup. A great party trick I must say.
It is a very good sign that your bub is hiccupping as it means that he/she is swollowing amniotic fluid as it should be.

Phew!! Thank goodness! I was so worried abt this since this was a new event. Glad this baby is not the only one with the hiccups. ANyways his dad still hiccups regularly, so perhaps Sam has inherited it from his dad...
thanx everyone for the reassuring messages!!
