child friendly pubs in Sydney?

Hi, looking to organise a Sunday afternoon catch up with a number of friends - some local, some from interstate - and looking for suitable beer garden-type venues. Location-wise can be city, east, inner west, whatever. Just somewhere nice which is relatively safe for the littlies we will all be bringing along....can anyone help??

The Newington in Petersham is great for kids. Nice courtyard that is secure. We take our kids there all the time. It is on Stanmore Rd. Sorry dont know which number

rsl clubs and the like are more friendly for kids i would say.

i dont think i would ever take my kids to a pub but they have been in a club many times.

how about that big club in ashfield? west leagues?

My fave is the Woolwich Pier Hotel - out of the way but totally worth the effort of getting there, absolutely gorgeous pub & shady beer garden, very child friendly, great food.
