The fact that I need to work is not up for dispute.

I am losing 1 day pw very soon.

I have been offered a cleaning job - 1.5h/w for $60pw - cleaning 2X 1 storey office stairwells (sweep, mop and dust - 45mins each stairwell max)

I am considering spreading my 2 day p/w job over 3 days and avoiding after-school care about $60 pw and taking the cleaning job.

I'll lose about $130pw doing this after savings (I lose about $250 for the day, but will earn $60 and save about $60).

I have to let the offeree know asap.

I'm inclined to take the cleaning job regardless - it's 5 minutes from home - and I already have an ABN.

What do you think?

It will make money a bit tight for me, but I'm not paying out about $200pw child care anymore

If it will improve your quality of life then I say yes go for it!

I would do it so you have at least something and meanwhile you could perhaps look for something else for 1 day a week but take this for the time been even though it will mean things are tight.

I would say yes, especially since you could take the kids out of after school care. You also dont know what the future will hold. Good luck.

I would say yes- go for it. But take into consideration if you actually enjoyed your previous job. You'd hate to be stuck doing something you really hate.

Good luck! I wish I didn't have to do the whole before/after school care mumbo jumbo!

I would say yes, but if you have a bad back *** OJ has pointed out, are you jeopardising your working future?

Kayte...

how will it effect your back hun? :hugs:

It's sweeping, and mopping with a damp microfibre mop - no carrying buckets, and dusting.

I get a broom, mop and duster on an extendable handle.

There's no lifting or bending or stretching.

I did it a few times over the hol's when the cleaner didn't turn up.

I am sure :fingerscrossed: I can handle it.

There's no vacuum or heavy stuff.
