wow that's a massive move. Karratha is quite big country town. I used to live there as a kid, moved away for university and have never made it back :) I would suggest checking playgroupWA website and get the details of any playgroups or there is always kindergym, I'm pretty sure they've still got one of those.

Hey there!!!

How are you settling in?? We too are moving to Karratha (Pegs Creek) in 3 weeks time..starting to get very nervous now but also excited at the same time..How long do you plan to stay over there?? My partner has been working over there since last August and our 2 year old is not coping with the whole separation thing so thats why we are all moving there...It's going to be a huge change from the Gold Coast, not too sure how were going to handle the heat...
Well be keen to know what you think so far..

Hi hi, that where we have moved to! Pegs creek. Msg me if u would like a phone number so that maybe we can meet up. I am actually quite liking it here, and I didn't think that I would, however it is very very well facilitated and I am really enjoying being over here. There is a playgroup on somewhere just about every day of the week, and lots of great opportunites to meet other people. I really am enjoying my time here! Hope to chat to you soon!:sunshine:

Not sure if anyone is still using this forum or not. Have just come across as my DH and I will be moving up to Karratha from Perth in Feb 2012.

I am currently 5 months pregnant and planning to have my first babyt in Karratha. My Perth doctor use to work there and recommended it!!

Would love recommendations of anything baby related for when I get up there, have any of you had babies in Karratha?

austenplus1 Was wondering if you were still in Karratha? And when you are due?

Look forward to hearing from anyone.

Hi yes still in Karratha and loving it my due date is 7th of April. All very exciting and scary with a baby already crazy times ahead.
Wow moving while pregnant thats big hope you have someone doing it all for you?? I found it really over whelming people touching my stuff and just such a big move.
So when are you due?? Would love to catch up when you get to town I found it really hard at first and still do some days so would be great to have a new friend who's expecting :highfive: . You are coming to town at a great time alot more resources opening for mothers and childern in town. I've found it very clicky in town but it is what you make it and you have to put yourself out there, eaiser said then done with a 14mnth old and another on the way. Very hot up here the best advice i can give you is try and have everything ready for the new one as limited on what you can get up here. I'm not computer smart and not sure how we exchange details to arrange to meet when you arrive in town, even if you just let me know a date we can go from there. If you want to ask anything please do and I'll try my best to answer or help you out. Enjoy the cool perth weather stinking hot up here.....very excited to meet you :hyper:
