My dd has the sorest nappy rash at the moment:(. Could it be because she's teething (her 2 top fangs are cutting through at the moment)?

She was perfectly fine up until this afternoon. Then when I changed her nappy her vagina was swollen red, it looked so sore and raw:crying: She was crying her little heart out. It was heartbroken to see and hear. I was like 'I really don't want to wipe the wipes on it'.

And of course, as they do when they have rash, she did more poo than normal. So I had to change her again, I shed some tears as she was hysterical:crying:.

I've put some bephanten and baby powder on it. While it worked great in the past, she's never had nappy rash as bad as this one. Is there anything more natural I can help her with?

My bub had the same problem last week, she poo's lots when teething and her rash got bad. Doctor told me it is fungal if bub itches when you take the nappy off, so recommended DAKTOZIN, you have to get it from the chemist, it is a thick white zinc cream with anti fungal in it, my bubs rash improved overnight, and i use it once a day (at night) for 7 days. In between i use cornflour or cornflour powder, bath in bi carb soda or breakfast oats.

DD has this problem last week. She was so sore it was bleeding. I tried all natural remedies but nothing worked.

Finally took her to the doc.DOC gave Hydrozole cream, it cleared wafter first application. It's an anti fungal cream, not sure if you can get it without prescription though.

I think it's the heat resulting in nappy rash.
