View Full Version : July 08 Mums & Bubs Chat #4
Jenna good morning!!!
Firstly please don't apologize we all have those kind of nights/days it is totally normal to get overwhelmed some times it happens to all of us even after having 3 children!!!!!
So happy Madison settled for you in the end and you both had a great sleep. Today is a new day :hugs:
Mel - had a look at your pics of Bridie she is so cute and the pics are beautiful.
I'm on facebook too if any of you girls want to check out my little family just pm me and I'll give you my surname to look me up :)
I'm off to the pool this morning with my mum and the girls will be Lily's first time so should be fun won't put her right in though but might just dip her toes in the toddler pool which is where the other 2 girls paddle around. We will get there about 10am and be home by 12 . Lily is still sleeping so will need to get her home for her sleep and before it gets too hot.
Hope you all have a great day

Just popping in to say a quick hi :wave:we got back from rocky last night and am totally buggered after all the driving. Thomas had a blast up there playing with his cousin and my friends little girl and he got to go to the beach for the first time and he loved it :p He also cut another tooth and there is another sitting there ready to cut through. :yelclap:
Today we had our enrolment iinterview with family day care and tomorrow will be meeting his new carers :oIt's exciting as he needs that interaction with other children etc and I can go back to work but i'm going to miss him soooo much. He starts up with them on tuesday next week and is starting at 3 days a week mon, tues and fri and then might go full time down the track.
Anyways much be off, have my final interview for the job i applied for this afternoon so have to start preparing for it. Take care everyone.....bye

Just wanted to say  will be back in a few mins, just putting charlie to sleep.
New thread so I can keep up :smiliedance:
Jenna, Im glad that you are feeling better :hugs:
Lib  How are you hun?
Hello to all the girls :D
Hey all long time lurker, rare poster
Hope everyone is doing well. Its crazy here with school holidays and such hot sticky weather.
We finally started Lachlan on solids just before christmas and hes doing really well. Except when he tried to put his foot in his mouth when im getting another spoonfull for him :D
Funny thing is hes not a big fan of the fruits. Loves chicken and sweetcorn (from woolies) but anytime i try him on things with apples or pears he pulls the funniest faces.
Hes also trying really hard to crawl but when that doesnt work he just goes head first into everything. Or just rolls everywhere. Hes such a mover.
Today we ventured out of the nice airconditioning to get DS and DD's photos done at Pixi and finally got a nice picture of them together. :smiliedance: Apart from the Santa photo it had been ages.
Lachlan also got a picture done in this new lion suit and they want to lease it which is something i have no experience with. But i made sure its just for display and not for sale. They both looked so amazing.
Must admit i have been kind of advoiding my extended family lately. It felt like my cousin was trying to compete with me when it came to our DS's. Her son is 6weeks younger then mine. And all through her pregnancy she knew she was having a boy and all she could do was hope he didnt have a baby with red hair...and of course my DS had lovely red hair. And theres always comments about his ears being big too. Hes a little boy and they're already judging him it just makes me :hair:
Anyway im ranting already and i havent been back for 5mins sorry about that.
Jenna hope things are better for you both. It couldve have been so many different things, teeth, a bug or maybe even a growth spurt. Glad you got some rest and hope things pick up soon.
Libby hows things? Your little man is growing so fast, such a cutie.
Be back in a little bit bubba is stirring.

Finally a new thread, maybe i can keep up with this one!
Thomas Mel - good luck with your interview, hope you get the job.
Al - How did Henry's orientation day care go yesterday?
Mel - Bridie looked very cute in your photo's, must have really tired her out swimming.
Amira - Jessica is the opposite, loves fruit, but not so keen on teh Chicken & Sweet corn.
Jenna - Hope things are going well for you both now.
Jessica is very demanding, always has to be where the action is. Loves seeing other babies, she has re-discovered rolling, I am finding her on her tummy in the cot alot lately. Found her face first into the corner of the cot on her belly this morning (she couldn't move anywhere!)
She is saying Mum and Dad, and of corse Num Num when i give her apples or Pears!!
Dont think she is far off crawling, she keeps getting her chest right up and kicking her little legs. then her legs right up and head first into the floor. Always going backwards in circles looks so funny!
Well must go can hear her crying (she's just woken up again).
Bye
Tracey - Henry went great at childcare. He seemed to really enjoy himself. I put in some quality time at Highpoint :D I ended up leaving him there for 4 hours in which time he had morning tea, 240ml EBM and his lunch  His carer commented " wow he really likes his food!":D He also had an hour long sleep. Couldn't ask for it to have gone better.
Sounds like Jessica is getting the hang of things and won't be long off crawling too. I've been going through some of my cupboards throwing out stuff in anticipation. I really need to get some new childproof locks too as Lizzie has broken all of our old ones:hair:

Hey everyone!!
Well i think i am in for a long night.
There is another bl00dy tooth on the way down.
I cant believe it, surely he deserves a break from teething for awhile.
I think i may be getting mastitis :(, charlie bit me the other day and it is taking awhile to heal and now i have red spot and a lump.
We started him on solids on 9 days ago. I have been going slowly, but gaining some pace.
We were going to do baby led feeding, but Charlie wasnt that interested in holding the food. He wasnt to keen on bananas, but he loves them now. He has also has had mashed potato, brocoli and he had some farex this morning.
He too is trying to crawl. If we lift his legs they go straight under him, but if we let go, he is face first to the carpet.
Nicki- long time no see. How is Richmond going?
tlsmum2b Jessica sounds just like Lach. Loves knowing whats happening and being in the action. Sounds like shes getting close to crawling. In some ways its exciting but at the same time once they start...they'll be into everything. :D
Alisonp wow sounds like Henry had a great day at daycare. That must be such a relief.
Libby more teeth already?! Poor little man. Lachlan's are only moving around, a few bumps but nothing close yet. Sounds painful about the sore hope it gets better soon. And Lach also isnt really interested in holding food yet, not even a teething rusk.
As for us. We're doing well except the heat is really restricting what we can do these holidays. I wanted to take Gab to Featherdale Zoo but its mid 30's all week :( Just too hot for 3 redheads to go in the sun.
Poor hubby is struggling with sleep though. He just cant seem to get it right. Am almost thinking of sleeping in another room when hes really tired.
We also brought ourselves a LCD tv and a WII and then i brought wii fit as my late birthday presend. Im planning on setting aside 30minutes each day when Gab goes back to school. Will see how i go.
Oh and on the nappy front i have only one thing to say :barf: The change from milk nappies to food nappies is just so yuck
Well i best run. I started this reply about half an hour ago and had to feed and change Lachlan half way through.
Good morning girls!
Sounds like we are in for some fun with the crawling soon  Deacon is doing the same, up on all fours and rocking, as like he's trying to move, but cannot work it out just quite.
He's cut two more teeth, he has two on top and two on the bottom now.
Libby, please tell Charlie to stop cutting those teeth so quick. Wow!
I really hope you dont have mastitis, try and get your fingers behind the lump and massage it gentley when feeding Charlie, it helped unblock mine when I had it when breastfeeding Deacon. :hugs: hun.
Amira: I hear you on competitive family, my EX SIL was the same, now my other brother has a GF and man, I cannot STAND her, so I try and avoid her as much as possible. She insults people, is in your face the whole time and insulted my mother and brother the other day and has opinions on everything, including that parents should not take their kids to resturants  Said that in front of us the other day  I put up with the garbage from my Brother's Ex wife for 7 yrs, wont be doing it with my other brother's GF this time around. Im older, crankier and dont take **** anymore LOL
How is your Hubby struggling with sleep? Sorry to be nosy :o
I cannot wait until my Gyno appointment in 2 weeks, everything is back to where we started :crying: Im so over it, I just want this hysterectomy NOW, I want it over. My Mum is coming with me to this appointment so she can give another point of view as to what I am like. Im down to 51kgs, and look HORRIBLE, I look like a need about 15 bugers in me!
I wanna be well again damnit. Sorry for the vent, I just needed to get it out.
Hope everyone has a fantastic day today. DS1 is at Pre-school and Im at home with Deacon today.

Wow i dont think i'd handle being around your brothers gf either. Luckily my baby brother finally broke up with his gf of about 3-4 years she was really rude as well and i think its best for the both of them.
With hubbys sleep. He just isnt getting enough. I keep telling him to go to bed earlier but then he tosses and turns and gets even less sleep then if he went to bed at say 1 or 2am. And he wakes up at 6am for work. We also still have Lachlan sleeping in our room. Which is easier for me but probably worse for hubby. Part of the reason for that is that we have half the house closed of so that we dont pay a fortune for the electricity bill.
:hugs: Hope your doctor understands how much you want this hysterectomy and i think its great that your mum is going to the appointment with you. And definately dont apologise for venting i cannot imagine what your going through with all of this.
Thanks Nicki :hugs: Im just so incredibly over it.
I just realised that you have a Dan too :p My Hubby is Dan :p
Has he changed anything in his diet? I find if I have chinese food I cannot sleep as they put some sort of additive in it, that and vitamins give me insomnia, kinda hard when I need them currrently to stop me from being anemic
Yeh hes a Dan. His mum sings Danny boy to him and drives him crazy
He drinks plenty of caffine so i think i'll stop buying coke and see if there is any difference. I might even try and convince him to have some chamile (sp) tea before bed maybe.
My aunty just had a hysterectomy a week or so ago. She had been having pains and bad periods but just like her mum (my nan) she put off seeing a doctor and kept making excuses. So im glad that your doing everything you can about your troubles and hoping for the best.

Hi Lovelies, :D
Saw the CHN this morning (@ the chemist, I just love her!) Eme is 9.71 kgs and 75cms long. She had a look at her nappy rash (thrush) for me and recommended another cream that has a steroid in it as well. I was feeling so so bad that she got it, thinking I must have been dirty or something (I disinfected all her sheets, toys, spoons dummies, wraps etc :o) and she reassured me they just get it and once they get it in thier mouth it quickly goes to thier nappy area. So felt a bit better. I got the cream and 2 new dummies and a sippy cup and it was $50! I need to buy amcal shares I think. Oh! and she finally rolled over :o little slow poke! and she has 2 teeth now.
Dans are everywhere! must have been a popular name around that era lol. Amira has your DH tried Valerian? its a natural sedative u get it in the vitamin section, it helped me, might be worth a try? Oh and I love my wii fit, they're great!
Oh Bep I am so sorry to hear that is happening!! I so hoped the Mirena would sort it for you. You poor thing! I will pray the gyno has some answers for you. I'm so glad your mum is going with you, that's fantastic. I thought you said you needed buggers in you I was so confused! Realised you meant burgers lol. 51 kilos is getting very little, it woudl be so difficult to lok after the boys with all that happening. goodness knows preschool boys are.... well....:hair: at times. hugs for you hun, dump here WHENEVER you need!
Lib that's awful about the lump, get onto it quick smart if you get a temp won't you?! I wouldn't wish mastitis on my worst enemy, blerk. Eme hasn't bit me yet, fingers crossed she keeps her nippers to herself! Eme loves to feed herself too, likes lumps which is nice, have tried her on weetbix this morning, will see how she goes.
Glad Henry did so well @ daycare, they grow up super fast!
Jessica sounds like a little chatterbox, I smiled at the numnum, how cute! Eme says Dad and AAAAjjaaaayyy! very funny but I wouldn't mind a mum .
ok, off to be productive!
I re-read my post and it does say bugers  I need sleep :p
Hi girls,
Beth - so sorry to hear you're so unwell, fingers crossed things improve soon xxx
Nicki - sorry to hear about dh's sleeping issues, my dh seems to be able to sleep anywhere!
Libby - Fingers crossed you DON'T have mastitis! Hot showers help too apparently!
Alison - So glad Henry enjoyed his daycare, Bridie's first full day is next Tuesday.
Tracey - Bridie is a chatterbox too, she's been saying dad, so DH is thrilled! It's very cute!
Bridie has hardly slept today, we've been at home all day and she had an hour this morning and an hour this afternoon, she seems perfectly happy though! We had a bit of a rough evening last night, I think she was just hot, I gave her some panadol in case it was teeth, and frozen teething ring which she went to sleep with eventually! I also set the fan going in her room, we have ac but it doesn't seem to reach her room.
Hope everyone else is ok and feeling good, I've had a few friends finally succumbing to PND lately which is really sad for them, they're so up and down and feel totally helpless, poor things. I'm still on my meds, but I'm planning to wean myself when school starts and gets going...ooohhhh whingy girl, better go xxx

Hey everyone, sorry I havent been posting lately. Its just pure lazyness on my part lol.
Zack is going pretty good except for the evil teething monster that has taken over his body. Other wise he is fairly happy most of the time. Hardest time of the day is getting him to bed at night. I finally started him on solids, hes had custard a few times and some pears and im gunna try him on the vegies the next few days. He really doesnt like farex and I dont blame him, it looks nasty lol. I think hes closer to crawling than sitting up as he trys to go up onto his knees a lot but doesnt have very good balance trying to sit.
My first baby is three on friday! its such a big milestone, I cant believe we nearly lost her when she was born and im so grateful to have her in our lives. Her party is on saturday and were having about 14 kids round out place for some food and cake to celebrate.
Other than that life is pretty good right now, just trying to get into the swing of the new year.
Love Shell.

:hair:Emelia has decided that she goes to bed at 6, wakes at 7pm and then its playtime??? thought it was a fluke but its 3 nights in a row now! Grrrr Just when you think its getting sorted too. Doesn't help I'm super cranky :banghead: DH has done 55 hours work in the last 4 days. Feel like a single mum :hissy:
BBBBBLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRKKKK!!!!
K. Feel better now. Thanks :D
:hugs: Deacon does the same, goes down at 630, wakes at 730 for another feed, then again 8pm and then crashes until midnight, then has a quick top up and then sleeps till 4am, where I am currently sitting here, fighting him back to sleep

Good on you Jane! That is awesome.
Oh Beth! Sorry to hear you are so unwell. Hopefully you are able to get your wish and get it sorted.xoxo
I have finally got Joel's sleep sorted! :smiliedance: He now sleeps from about 7-11 then feeds then 11-2.30 (wakes for dummy) then sleeps through till 6. OMG i am sooo relieved. I didn't realise how much it was taking out of me till i actually started getting sleep! He is feeding better during the day too.
He still hasn't really started solids though. (not that i am worried, hayden didn't start till 10 months) He will take it some days, and not others. So we are just trying on and off which is great though, as he doesn't miss it if we are out! LOL
I had great news too... i got into midwifery at uni!:smiliedance: I really didn't think i would get in, but i did, and i am so thrilled. I have deferred this year as i am not quite ready to do it yet, i don't want to do it till Ry is at school (which is next year!) And at least it gives me one more year with my baby boy before i start.

Glad you are having some relief with Joel's sleeping. Felix got his first tooth 2 nights ago, so we have had a couple of really bad nights, where he doesnt even want to feed:no:. Cant complain though, he is a very happy baby when he is awake. Although I did ring sleep school but since have decided just to suck it up and put up with it until we are in our new house. Hopefully by July, by then he will be 1 and hopefully a lot better.
Congratulations on getting into midwifery! You will be able to get your baby fix, even once your boys are older!
We are all going well, DS1 has snapped out of his difficult phase and is now a delight! Cant believe our bubs are 6 months already, Felix too is starting to show signs of crawling. Wont be long now till we are chasing them all!
Hope all you girls are having a good day. x

I still express 200ml or so in the morning if i need to,... Raff sucks all day too:cool:
Thanks Girls. I am going to Monash Uni. ( i am in melb)
I haven't studied nursing before, Am doing the Bachelor of Midwifery, which is 3 years full time. I was so surpised to get offered a spot first round, as people were always saying how hard it was to get in, so i am thrilled! I do have a Bachelor of Early childhood, so i don't know if that was a favorable thing or not for them. I mean they aren't related, although i do know a bit more theory about newborns i guess which may be good lol.
Sarah, Joel was terrible for weeks before his tooth actually appeared, and i don't know if it was that, or my refusal to feed him back to sleep that actually sorted out his sleeping. His first tooth has now cut and he is great! Am not looking forward to the next ones if that is what he is going to be like though. Hopefully they will be better!.
Wow Jane, you do so well with expressing. I am lucky to get 140mls out if joel has missed a feed!
Fantastic news Jane :D Congrats :D Im glad that Joel has sorted his sleeping out. Deacon finally cut his third tooth yesterday and the fourth one is just about through  This kid is cutting teeth like it's going out of fashion!
Wyatt and I have a day together one on one tomorrow, MIL is having some time along with Deacon, so Wyatt is looking forward to having his Mum to himself for a change :D

Evening ladies...
Jane, you're a champion, what a wonderful thing you're doing, I've heard of ebm banks (in WA?) but they're not up a going in Melbourne or Sydney...it's a pity!
Jane, congrats on getting into uni, it's really fabulous news. You couldn't get me to go back to uni in a million years, it's been too long!!! Happy for you and Joel that the sleeping is going well.
Beth, hope you have a lovely day with Wyatt tmoz!
Beth, the pics of Eme are just gorgeous, gee our little babies are growing up!
Shell, good to hear from you!
Question...Bridie has really cut down her day sleeps, she usually has 2x1 hour naps and maybe a 1.5 hour nap during the day, these are interchangeable thru the day, sometimes the big one is in the morning, sometimes the arvo, sometimes the evening...Anyone else finding this? She's perfectly happy when she's awake and still goes down relatively easily (unless I've got it wrong and she's not actually tired), just wondering if this is happening to others? She still sleeps 10-12 hours at night. I'd appreciate your views? I'm just worried she's not getting enough sleep???
Hope you all have a great weekend...it's my last before I go back to work, meetings all next week, then kids the week after, I've been in to set up my room, so just a few last minute things to do xxx

Wow, cutting teeth!! Ariana doesnt even look like shes getting teeth any time too soon!
Just a quick question, has any of you bubs not rolled over yet?? Ariana has never rolled over from her back to her belly! I must admit though she doesnt spend much time on the floor, but i would of thought she would of done it by now. Shes starting to love her solids now, which is great. Got to love the puree all over the face look!! Ariana kisses now too, its soo cute. She grabs my neck and pulls her face right up to mine and makes the sound effects of a kiss, its so adorable!! :cloud9:
Thanks girls :D
Oh Beth, i just saw the photos of Eme... Cute as!
Although it shocks me how grown up these bubbies (well i saw Deacon and Eme) eating toast! MY little man won't even take slop! They are gorgeous thoug.
Naomi- Joel only started rolling tum to back about 4 weeks ago. Now there is no stopping him. It just happend all of a sudden. It was about 2 days from him doing his first roll over from tum to back to him rolling everywhere all over the room now!

We are putting him in his cot tonight for his first over night sleep, and i am as nervous as hell. I think once i get tthrough tonight then i will be fine. we started him in his cot during the day last week and he seemed to enjoy it, so i thought it was time he got outta the bassinette and our room.
I had my mum, dad, 2 sisters and 1 brother over for dinner tonight, while they waited for their train to go to the Gold Coast for a 5 night holiday, i am so jealous, so wish i could have went, but we couldnt afford it.
Charlie is starting to sit unaided. He is even picking up toys and pushing himself back up with them, i couldnt believe it when i saw it. He wants to crawl, but is unsure how. Also, we think he is going to be a backwards boy, Will was.
Anyway i think i might get ready for bed, not sure how tonight is going to go.
Night all, take care, and babies stay asleep.
God I have got no chance at keeping up on here....we are in the thick of birthdays and miss T starts school next week....*tearing up*
Anyways just wanted to pop in and say hi...have had computer probs so have not been on here at all for a couple of weeks will need a whole night to re read everything and catch up.
Hope you are all well though and that bubbies are all doing fantastically. Chrace got his two bottom teeth last week....has anyone elses bubbies got teeth? Sorry probably have already said so but like i said I am out of the loop...hope you are all really well
Big hugs to all
Morning girls
Mel just thought I would quickly respond to your question before I jump in the shower (11am I know )
I would say what Bridie is doing is totally normal Lily is very similar at the moment she is having morning and afternoon 1 1/2hr - 2 hr sleeps and then sleeping 12 hours at night from about 8pm - 8am!!! My other two girls did the same routine too. While she is awake I take the opportunity to get all the "noisy" jobs done or head out of the house as she too is very happy and content to play !!!
Hope all those little "teethers" are coping okay must be such a painful horrible time for our littleones???? I'm sure that's why we can't remember those early days as bubbas!!!!!!!
My best friend had a little girl yesterday :cloud9: she has two boys 3 & 4yo so she is delighted to have a little pink in her world!!!!!!
Will be back later have a good one girls
:flowerz:
Mel - Henry isn't having much in the way of day sleeps at the moment. Suddenly he just doesn't seem too tired and is happy to be up most of the day but I'm hoping it's just one of those stages and he will start having a bit better day sleeps again soon. Doesn't help that every time he wakes up momentarily he has to get up on his arms and legs:hair: He is still half asleep but is stuck there in that position...
Hayden&Ryan&Joel - That's great news about getting into midwifery!:yelclap: Well done. Yay for Joel's sleeping improving.
SJR (Jane) - What a wonderful thing you are doing expressing for those twins. Good on you. I've never been able to express much as I really struggle to get a let down with the pump, maybe 120ml at the most ever I would say.
Badgersmum - More gorgeous photos! How is Eme's rash healing up?
Get fit/Weightloss - How is everyone going with their weightless efforts?? I'm still doing pretty well, as evidenced by the fact I was able to fit into some pants this morning I haven't worn in 4 years!!:D:smiliedance: Gotta be happy with that!

Happy Birthday Jenna!!! happybirthdayhappybirthday
Just a quick question, how many solids a day are you feeding your bubs?? I give Ariana solids at dinner time but not sure whether shes meant to have another one during the day!
Lily is having 3 solid meals a day and about 4-5 BF depending on how hot or how hungry she is :p
 Happy Birthday Jenna hope all your wishes come true :flowerz:

Lily is having 3 solid meals a day and about 4-5 BF depending on how hot or how hungry she is
Yep, that's what Emelia is doing now too, I do worry that she's not drinking enough with it being so hot but she's not fussed on her sippy cup with water in it, I remember it took me MONTHS to teach Ash to drink from a cup
And Mel she is having two sleeps for about 1.5-2 hours each and sleeping 12 hours at night so what Bridie is doing sounds perfectly normal to me!
Well done Alison! Did you message me on facebook? I didn't know who it was sorry if it was u and I ignored you! Em's rash is nearly all gone, we ended up using hydrozole, a steroid and anti-fungal, poor chicken.
Hi Sasha! Missed you! School begginning would be very daunting I can only imagine. Oh and Eme has one tooth with another just breaking through xx
Naomi - Eme has only just rolled over once from back to tummy, and it was a total fluke I am sure! She is sitting much better for short periods of time, she loves it.
Eme is loving her food so much! even her toast, its incredible, she switched from jambing her mouth shut to opening wide and gobbling everything overnight ?? It was like a switch was flicked, very odd!
Well DH has taken the day off to be with us because he's been working so much so I best go make the most of it!
Have a great weekend girls!
xx
B.
Happy Birthday Jenna!
Deek's is having 4 bottles a day (around 170mls average) and 3 solid meals a day, plus he has about 200mls water (not every day though) He mastered the sippy cup finally :yelclap:
He will refuse to sit in the high chair though  He prefers the dinner table to eat at on my lap

So i should start feeding her more solids then. :yes:Ive forgotten all this stuff, plus her being a bit smaller than my other two shes been taking her time with developments. Ariana's starting to sit up more on her own too! :D

happybirthdayJenna!!! Hope your having a lovely day.
Thomas is having 3 solid feeds a day plus fruit in his mesh feeder. He also has 4-5 bottles (220mls) and around 150mls of water from his sippy cup. Like Deek, he refuses to sit in his high chair. On the teething topic, Thomas has cut 3 teeth now and has another 2 sitting there ready to go :smiliedance:
Congrats Alison on the weight loss! I haven't lost anymore yet but i've been travelling a bit and always eat junk when i do :o I'm starting back up on metformin for my PCOS and it is suppose to assist with weight loss when combined with a low GI diet.
Hi Sasha, sounds like you are very busy. Good to hear from you.
Libby :smiliedance:for Charlie sleeping
HRJ, congrats on getting into midwifery :yelclap:
SJR, what a beautiful thing you are doing for those twins.
Mel, i think Thomas is about the same with his sleep too as he is having 2 day sleeps ranging from 1-2 hours each.
Beth, beautiful pics of Eme
Well we are going well, Thomas has just gone down for his afternoon nap and now i need to finish my housework as the inlaws are coming up for the weekend. It's just started raining here :smiliedance:starting to cool things down, soooo hot and humid today.
Thanks girls for you replies re: sleeping. Bridie made a liar out of me and has had 2 hours this morning and 3/4 hour in the car this arvo! She's lying on the floor naked (it's really warm!) atm, a minute ago DH started laughing, I looked and there was a nugget lying next to her bottom!!! SO FUNNY! I nearly cried!
Naomi - Bridie is rolling all over the place but she would only roll from tummy to back for a long time, she's doing both now but is not sitting up on her own yet. I'm sure Ariana will do it in her own time...there's not much point comparing so long as they're healthy, it's hard not to though!
Libby - We only recently took Bridie out of her 'basinnette', it was a tetra bed inside her cot. She's coping well but rolls all around it and usually ends up sleeping around the wrong way! I think she likes the freedom. Bridie shimmies backwards too, on her back though! We really have to watch where she's going, she's a shocker for banging her head! So glad you ha d agood nights sleep, it does make all the difference!
Sasha - Good luck with the first day of school, having been a prep teacher for 3 years, it's definitely harder for the parents than the kids. The kids are ALWAYS fine after their parents leave...I've actually had to shove sobing parents out the door before! You'll be fine and so will Tahliah! She'll love it!
Alison - My weight loss is a disaster, I've been really very good, walking everyday, lots of water etc, I put on weight (about .5kg). I spoke to the dr and he said maybe my anti-anxiety meds aren't helping. Also my contraceptive implant doesn't help! I'll keep trying! He wasn't too worried as I don't have THAT much to lose! Congrats on doing so well, yay for the skinny pants!
Naomi - Bridie is having 3 solids meals a day now too, fruit and cereal for breakfast, yogurt and fruit for lunch and meat and veges for dinner. I'm about to puree some mince for her, so beef tonight! Increase the feeds gradually though, I'd do breakfast next.
Mel - have a good time with the inlaws...how did the job hunting go?
Well, we're having a fairly quiet weekend...friends are coming here for dinner tonight, mum's group in the morning (2 of us are back at work full time and a few others part time so saturday is working atm), then another friends place for dinner tomorrow night then sweet nothing on Sunday...I've advance booked a sleep in with DH, I'll do a quick BF and then DH will take her and do breakfast and dress her etc...LOVELY! Then back to work next week :(
Have a great weekend everyone!
Libby, isn't it amazing how much sleep can change you! I too had a full night last night and i feel alive finally today!
Joel is cutting his 2nd tooth i think. So far so good. I can see it, and i think i can feel it. It is sooo close though.
Naomi- Joel isn't even really having solids at all yet. If you think she is ready for more though go for it.
Happy birthday Jenna

He will refuse to sit in the high chair though He prefers the dinner table to eat at on my lap What sippy cup are you all using? I have the Avent one, Ash went thru all of them, uses the "majic sportster" with water EVERYNIGHT in bed, he loves them. I remember spending a fortune trying to find one that would "work" and Eme doesn't like the avent!
Mel  Now I know what your facebook status was about  Hope Bridie keeps sleeping well for you.
Beth: Deacon is using a Tommee Tippee "Munchkin" sippy cup, got it from coles. It's blue with orange handles. I think it a Tommee Tippee one at least
Thank you all for the birthday wishes that is really kind of you. I will be back online in the morning to post personals, I promise. Can respond to a lot of the recent questions as well so I will be back. Have a good evening/weekend all.
Going to spend some time with my dh now :D

Morning ladies...I can't imagine how anyone survives getting up at 5am daily!! the last 2 days I have seen the sunrise due to little maxi getting up and waking all of us..
Maxi Standing against lounge (http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=1387808&l=67158&id=554506888) - His favourite thing to do
Max is now rolling everywhere and when he wakes up he is always on his tummy in his cot and in some sort of predicament...(up against the side or wedged in the corner)
He wiggles like a worm/commando crawls forward to get things but only up to 5cms here and there, otherwise he just spins around and goes for something else...he rolls both ways now and love playing with paper!!!
He loves food!! and gets upset if anyone is eating when he isn't..so now it's 3 meals a day and about 4b/feeds...and some water if he wants...
He also adores sitting up in Jack's highchair to eat and watch everyone..we have trialled Jack using his table and chair set and it seems to be working (he likes being a "big boy" like mummy and daddy and having his own table)
I am up 1 - 2 times a night with him still, however the other night he slep 8hrs straight and that was a big sleep for him, and super nice for me.
?? another thing at the moment he is refusing to drink on my left booby, anyone have this sort of trouble? so much so that there is a noticable difference in my booby sizes at the moment, heaps more milk in the right side...last night and this morning are the first times in weeks that he has fed on it properly without complaining and screamming.(and thus fallen asleep) I am tryin to build up the supply on that side again!!!
He still only has 3 bottom teeth but chews on everything so pretty sure they are moving around in there, just haven't surfaced yet.
Badgersmum ~ Em is just gorgeous
Lahri ~ happy birthday for yesterday
Jane ~ Congrats on the midwife course!!!
Mel ~ Bridie sounds normal with her sleep patterns, they tend to cut back a sleep at this age and only have appox 2 naps of 1 - 1.5hrs each...
SRJ ~ Well done on the expressing for the twinnies..
Alison ~ I have lost 6kg so far and am back to pre-first pregnancy weight which is just lovely! now to lose another 10kg or so..:fingerscrossed: Well done on your loss, it's a great feeling.
Niomi ~ Well done on Ariana sitting up more...Max is getting better but still nose dives if you don't help him.
Sasha ~ big hugs about your big girl off to big school...
Sorry, can't remember any more...but hope everyone is getting some sleep and looking after themselves...:hugs: to any that need it right now...
Whats everyones plans for the long weekend? we were going to the farm/Tamworths country music festival, but DH is feeling off and it's been too hot..might just stay holed up infront of the aircon!!!
Hi lovelies
Well thought I should try and get on here everyday even if it is only for a sec.
Happy Birthday for Jenna for yesterday. Hope you had a fan-flippin-tastic day! Sorry I missed congratulating you yesterday though. Hugs
Thanks for the support re the first day Mel, I KNOW Tahliah will be fine, she way way way ready to go and cant wait, getting really exciting for her and I rang her school yesterday to find out what class she will be in as it is a multigrade school meaning Preps and year ones are together and ones and twos and so on and so forth, and i found out her teachers name etc so she is even more excited...and I know I will be fine, it is time for the boys to have more of their mummy to themselves but it is like closing a chapter on our life, and her life and that is really sad to me. If i could go back to when she was first born and start all over i really would because I have spent so much bloody time worrying about not working and not contributing and have really only got it in the last year that i am doing one of the most important jobs and to us that is something that money can replace....that is in no way meant to be offensive to those who do work...but it has been something that we have always wanted in that one parent be at home til they are all in school...and I dont know in some ways is a bit sad that our girl HAS grown up....but i should look at the positives of that she is going to grow even more and expand as a person and that she does need something more than simply mummy so yeah...but hopefully I wont be that parent who has to be pushed out the door besides i will have the two boys who will be needing attention aswell..ok blabbing on now
Beth thanks for missing me, I certainly miss you gals when I am not on here for a while...just need to manage my time a little better to allow for me to check in with you, certainly dont want to lose the friendship I have formed especially seeing as we have all shared such a special time in our lives. Hope you and your family are well. What is new with you? How is miss mill going and your dear little boy? Cute about the tooth...Chrace just had his both his come through at the same time no wonder he wasnt happy. Glad I am not the only one who would think that being their little one starting school would be a bit daunted, I do feel as though I am being silly sometimes...but I tell you what there is so much more to remember and to have ready...and I am a little concerned with ensuring she is at school at the same time everyday!!! But oh well will just do my best.
Mel thanks for saying hi...how is Thomas doing? And TTC? Anyways thinking of you and good work on the weight loss. I think I should be a bit more concerned about focusing on losing some myself and toning up especially when I have a built in personal trainer here whom I can get it from for free but it is just finding the time and when the kiddies arent scrambling at my feet....so lately it has been in the evenings after they have gone to bed, but then that means I dont get to eat much for dinner and i love my food.....oh well just wish I had some more of your girls staying power to resist the things I love
Ok well sorry run out of time, its James' birthday on monday and we are having a party for him tonight and going to a friends for a bbq lunch today so I have a million things to cook and get ready so best be off...hope you all have a great weekend and will endeavour to be on again to check in with you all tomorrow.
Hugs

What a handsome little man! I can't believe he is standing! AND I can't believe u are from Tamworth lol..... Me too!!!!! I lived there for 19 years! I was just saying to DH that I wished were there, even though we never wanted to go into town when we lived there lol. I did get your message about the meet on the central coast but not til the day unfortunately, let me know when the next one is and I will do my best :). Eme fusses on the left at the moment too how funny  I'm always a different size it drives me nuts! All the pics of me at Ash's party have one big boob hanging out and one tiny one
ha ha ha Nugget now I get it lol
Enjoy your party Sasha, I've been looking at your facebook page and you are GORGEOUS! xx

Same here...I lived in Tamworth for 3 years and use to go away when CM was on...We have been more since leaving..
wow, small world...I was there from 1991-1994 but DH was there for 6 years around that time. (both originally from Coona area)
That's cool about the CC meet...they have them reasonably often..there is also a meet in Newcastle every week too...let me know if you are having a slow week or want to get out and I would love to meet you at one of them or just at a park somewhere local...:D
Kangaskippy - Yep Henry is refusing my right breast at the moment :hair: He does it occasionally and it can last for a few days. It's bloody annoying isn't it. I've been expressing off that one in the evening to put some EBM in the freezer so at least it keeps things going a bit. DD didn't like that one as much either...must be the shape or something which is different to the other one. BTW well done on your weightloss...that's fantastic.
Badgersmum - I don't think I messaged you :o but I was thinking maybe my Lizzie did it. She's pretty nifty on the computer and I think I left her alone the other day while your photos were open...was there any text?
Mel - LOL about your little nugget!! I remember once with DD a nugget rolled off the change table and I couldn't find it! I swear it took me ages before I found where it was hiding...:D
Us - Happy to say that Henry has expanded his vocabulary from hello to dada!! DH is walking around all puffed up with pride  I love his little voice too...sooo cute :D

Hi Girls,
Just thought i would pop in and let you all know how im doing.... not so well actually. My pop died on thursday :crying: i feel totally gutted my pop and i were close until he got diagnosed with alzheimer's and dementica 3 years ago.... horrible deseases they are wouldn't wish them upon anyone.
i found out thursday morning by a phone call from my mum because luke was taking me out to breakfast with our friend so on the way over i got the call and mum said nan rang with some bad news i was like what mum went all quiet and said that my pop had died that morning i screamed down the phone NOOO burst into tears and hung up the phone.... luke was driving luckily and asked me what was wrong and i told him.... he pulled over and gave me a massive hug and tried reassuring me that it was for the best [ i knew it was but it's still hard to get used to, my pop aged like 20years in that place in 3 years he looked 100 and he was only 79]
the funeral is tuesday and i'm really dreading it.... im going to be a complete mess so luke is going to have to step up and look after ayshie cause i dont think i could, i'm only just holding it together now because im trying not to think about it and if i do i just burst into tears.
i feel guilty for not seeing him in the last 4 months but last time i was their i cried as soon as i walked in his room i could tell he wouldn't last much longer and then he wanted us to leave because he wanted to sleep. I was only thinkng the day before that i should go visit him.
anyway sorry to put a dampner on things girls
enjoy your weekend and australia day
:hugs::hugs::hugs: Kiralee...so sorry to hear your sad news. Glad Luke is there for you. xxx
Morning all,
Gees I have an awful lot to catch up on, Maddison is asleep but due to wake up any minute so not sure how much I will get through. My sincerest apologies for anyone that I miss.
All is going well here, Maddison has been sitting up unsupported now for about 2 and a half weeks, she loves walking and although we have seen her crawl (in a fashion) on our bed and in her cot, she won't do it on the floor. She stands up at the sofa and with a little bit of a helping hand, she pulls herself up. Where has my baby gone??
Mel with regard to sleep patterns, Maddison has just changed from three 45 minute naps to 2 naps. They range from 45 minutes to about an hour and a half depending I suppose on how tired she really is. She goes anywhere from 5 to 5 and a half hours between naps and is on the go all the time.
I was told they should only be having 2 hours awake time at this age but I am not worrying about Maddison at all. She is just a very active baby and doesn't seem to need much sleep, (like her mum ) so if she seems happy enough and content don't worry. You are doing a great job.
Saying that, I think I could do with more sleep now she is so active. Hope work goes well next week for you, enjoy the public holiday.
jaydensmum how is your nursing degree going? I wouldn't worry about Ariana not rolling over yet, all babies do it in their own time. Some are far more active than others it doesn't mean anything is wrong or that they won't do it. I just have a live wire  Glad she is enjoying her solids and how cute with the kisses.
I try to get Maddison to eat 3 meals a day but I have been pretty lapse lately  and haven't quite been organised. She has gone off anything pureed and wants to eat what we are eating. I therefore just give her breakfast (Rafferty's baby rice sometimes with pureed fruit added) normally at lunch she just has a bit of fruit and maybe a little of whatever I am eating hehe and then some vegetables and a little sample of meat in the evening. She is happy if it is what I am eating. Contrary little girl :D
Sasha great to hear from you, aww your little girl goes to school soon, don't they grow up too fast. Chrace sounds like he is doing well though, Maddison doesn't have teeth yet I can't even see any signs of them. She seems to be on the ball with everything else but teeth she has no control over hehe.
Alison hehe sounds like Henry loves moving around in his cot as well, I go in to find Maddison like that as well. Isn't it funny how they just discover they can do something and all around the similar age, I love hearing what everyones little ones are up to.
I haven't actually been trying to loose weight or been weighing myself but we had our medicals for our PR application the other day and I am back to my pre-pregnancy weight. Actually I have been pretty much been at that weight since having Maddison, I only had about 2 kilos to loose so I was very fortunate. Congratulations on your weight loss, good for you, sounds like you are doing so well. If you managed to fit into trousers you haven't worn for 4 years, you are doing brilliantly. Be proud of yourself.
Beth with regard to the sippy cup, I bought one for Maddison, a Tommee Tippee thing that has 2 handles and some kind of mouthpiece that they have to bite on and then suck. If you ask me it keeps their mouth open and the water just drips out instead of her being able to swallow it.
I then bought a Tommee Tippee (I think) straw type sippy cup for 6 months plus but she struggled with that as well. She is normally a very quick learner so I think it may be that it just takes them some time to learn how to do it. I took the straw part out and just put a normal straw in and she was fine so I think it is the biting and sucking action that they have to learn. (think it was you that asked, sorry if it wasn't.
Kangaskippy Max looks so cute standing up against the sofa, it is cute to see them playing with paper haha. Good on him for having 3 teeth, Maddison still doesn't have any.
Congratulations on your weight gain, that is fantastic.
Kiralee sorry to hear about your pop, that must be really hard for you.
Sorry got to dash, will try to post more later.
Kiralee:hugs::hugs::hugs: Big hugs hun, so sorry to hear about your pop.
Kiralee I am glad Luke will be there for you and look after Aysha. It is only natural to feel this way and I hope you have time to grieve during this.
I can't remember who it was but someone said that their little one doesn't like sitting in their high chair but wants to sit on your lap at the table. Have you tried the high chairs that sit on a normal chair? We use one of these for Maddison instead of the traditional high chair, she loves it because she has a place at the table sitting inbetween both my dh and I. You can buy them in Toys R Us, Big W and other baby shops. I think Fisher Price have the market on them but PM me if you want more information. It is worth a try if you are using a traditional high chair. Before M was old enough to go in a high chair, I would have her sitting on my lap at the table, it is hard work.
Hope you are all having a lovely weekend. Speak soon.

My degree is going well. Im on a break at the moment and start up again in early march. Its been nice having a break from having my head stuck on the computer and in books, esp with the move. I got 2 credits and 1 distinction last semester which i was pretty happy about, being my first time doing it through distance. :smiliedance:
Kirralee - Im sorry hun to hear about your pop. :hugs:We are all here for you hun if you need to chat and know that we will be thinking of you on tuesday. :hugs:
Kangaskippy - wow, thats amazing that hes standing already, hes a champ!! With refusal i can totally relate. Ariana has been refusing my right boobie since about 4 mths old. I was constantly having to express and i kept trying her on that side but nothing worked. My milk decreased heaps on that side and now i dont even think theres anything in there. I gave up expressing that side about 2wks ago, it was just getting too much. So now she only feeds from my left and i pump too when shes not around or has a little dummy spit! If you want to keep it in then you'll have to express but keep trying to offer that side every feed, you never know he may take it. :D
Theres not much to say from my end, except im absolutely exhausted. I did an arvo shift yesterday which finished at 10pm then drove home to the mountains. Im also doing night shift tomorrow night, which im not looking forward to at all! The things you have to do to keep afloat.
Well i hope all is well for you all, and handling the heat well. Take care and enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Kiralee - Very sorry about your Pop hun :hugs:
Just popping in to check on my girls ;) Hope you are all having a nice long weekend. we got home from Byron about 2 hours ago. It rained the whole time but we still had fun :D
Deeky's 4th tooth cut this morning and man, did we have a ****ty night becuase of it :( Poor kiddo :(

Speak soon.
That was me  Thanks hun, we actually bought one on Friday and so far so good, we used to have one for Wyatt as well, but I sold it when he outgrew as we thought we wouldn't be having any more kids LOL
I found it on Ebay, practically brand new one for $20, bargin!
HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY
Hope you all had a good one, not sure what you normally do to celebrate this  but enjoy it nonetheless. We just spent it at home and my dh played on his computer - what joy!!! Oh well, speak soon.
Oooh my little girl has her bottom teeth coming through, that will explain why she has been a bit grumpy the last two days. She is growing up so fast, it won't be long before she is standing up alone at this rate.

Hope everyone has had a lovely long weekend, we had a good one with the inlaws. Thomas was a perfect little angel while they were here and as soon as they left, he turned into the devil child , he is cutting his 4th tooth and is sooo cranky and feeding like crazy again.
My baby starts family day care tomorrow :( I can't believe how quick that came around. He is doing 6 hours from 8.30-2.30 and I know he will be find etc but I'm going to miss him sooo much.:o At least I will be able to go get my things done without having to worry about entertaining him all the time.
Kiralee, I'm sooo sorry to hear about your pop :hugs:
Kanga, I can't believe that Max is standing up :yelclap:

I can't remember who it was but someone said that their little one doesn't like sitting in their high chair but wants to sit on your lap at the table. We have a Fisher Price as well. Charlie loves it. We got it on saturday.

Yours was a better bargain than mine. I paid $30 from a garage sale. Pretty much brand new as well. Here are some pics of Charlie is his <<LINK>> (http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=85793&l=6117b&id=648884907)
Mel- he will be fine. It is scary when they go away for the first time, but you can always call and see how he is going.
Kanga- What an awesome pic. I tried to see if charlie wanted to do it, but nope thank goodness, i am not sure i could handle seeing him standing.
We spent australia day fishing in laurieton (small coastal town not far from here), we had a nice time, didnt catch anything. But we had a really nice guy give us a bucket of yabbies because he had no use for them. We didnt end up using them but it was so nice of him to offer.

Thinking of you today Kiralee, Hope you get to say goodbye peacefully ((((((hugs)))))))
 Girls!
Sounds like everyone had a cruisy long weekend, other than those of you cutting teeth, ew! Poor darlings. Eme still has only one on the bottom, its really cute seeing her grin with one little white toothy peg :goodvibes:
We just hung around all weekend, $ a bit low at the moment to do much exciting, we had to buy a car to get Dan back and forth to his new job as he won't have a company ute this time round. And he needs about $1500 of new tools so trying to save towards that.
Other than that really not much out of the usual happening here, I'm trying to make our back sunroom into a bit of a play room for the kidlets but without any money its a bit hard lol! Got two big canvases and the kids painted them to hang in there (Eme just wanted to eat the paint really!) and I will paint one wall with chalkboard paint over next weekend. Need a rug for the floor and a little couch or some beanbags and I would love to go to Ikea and get some storage but we will just have to dream about that at the moment.
Ash is getting his 4year ols needle 2morro, oh boy!
Have a great day!

Hi guys,..... just a quickie from me,..so very tired,... Raf is waking up every 40mins all night,.
Oh my goodness I'd be a crazy person with sleep like that!!
Beth have you tried the Emla patches? Ok they don't numb the muscle so they can still feel the needle as it hits that, but at least they don't feel it going into the skin initially.
I used them for Maddison but I think they are probably only worth it for older children who know it is coming. I don't think I will tomorrow when she has her jabs  even though it upsets me so much. I wish they didn't inject into the muscle, why do they need a quicker absorption rate?
Mel how did Bridie go today?
Sorry got to go, taking Maddison to register for swimming lessons tonight. Bye for now will try to do more personals later
Hi girls,
Just a quickie, Bridie had a great day, had 2 short sleeps, ate everything, drank half of her bottle and really enjoyed herself! I feel much better now that I've seen the big smile on her face when she was in there! She did bump her head (very minor) but these things happen!

Mel, glad to hear that Bridie enjoyed her first day at day care.
Beth, good luck with Ash's needles
Hi everyone else
Well Thomas's first day at day care went well too, although he did have a good cry for about 15mins and then fell asleep. He didn't really have any of his bottles but ate the mashed veges. He only there by himself today as the other kids don't start until next week. I couldn't believe that he was alseep when I went to pick him up.....such a good boy :cloud9: He is sooo happy this afternoon, moving around the house in his walker, talking to himself :p

Mel that is great new, you may have two jobs to chose from. I am glad Thomas has had a great first day at care, alway a worry the first couple of times, it will get easier, for you I mean.
Kanga, your boys are adorable.
SJR, I hope you are getting a bit more sleep.
Well my big news today is I have lost 11.3kg now. I am so proud and that means 8.7kgs till I reach my 20kg mark, can't wait.
Zoe is on the move, not crawling but rolling and getting up on her knees and rocking. She is eating 3 solid feeds a day and really is 95% of the time a very happy content baby. Still sleeping quiet well, don't want to say more then that or I may jinx us.
My big boy Jack is starting 2days a week at kindy next week. I am excited for him, as he is and I am sad, make me realise how quickly the next few years will go.
Thats it for now, hope you all had a good long week end and we can all now get back into the swing now xmas is over. Can you believe the amount of Easter Eggs Coles has atm. I will leave you with that thought.

Kanga, you boys are adorable. I just had to comment on them.
Well William went to daycare today with absolutley no hassles at all, i stayed for 15 mins, gave him a kiss and he went on his way, no tears at all :yes::D:D. I was so proud!!
Hi ladies
WOW it's hot!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't mind the heat but not this kind of heat!!!!!
Well we had swimming for DD1 & DD2 this am and they went really well they are both in the pool on their own now which is great that I don't have to get in, then had to take Lily for her 6mth needles poor little dolly cried so hard but nothing that a cuddle and feed wouldn't fix. Now girls are just watching DVD's, playing with leggo & cut & pasting today and staying inside in the air con trying to keep them as quiet as possible.
Just a question does anyone know the amount of points you can eat on the weight watchers program while you are BF????? I have all the books etc as I have done it before but not sure of the points for BF????? I need to lose about 5kgs and I want to do it now before more slowly creeps on.
Hope you are all having a good day sorry for lack of personals girls, hope you are all having a happy day :flowerz:
OMG! It is soooo HOT! I got my car after school and it said 44 degrees , at least it's not windy too! I am LOVING the tennis, I wish it was on all year round, it's the only sport I watch. I'm not really keen on AFL which is like a total sin for a victorian!
Bridie has had such big sleeps after daycare yesterday, she was buggered! I'm glad all the other kiddies have done well at daycare and kinder, makes you feel much better!
Poor babies and their needles, the last ones at 6 months seemed to have no effect on Bridie but the ones before made her sleep all day!
Mel - can't wait to hear about your job, fingers crossed!
Lib - What do you mean by nappy hunt? Hope Charlie is feeling better today.
Photos are so cute Mez!
Congratulations on the weight loss Justine, keep up the good work. I'm so unmotivated because even when I am good nothing happens. I spoke to the doctor about how difficult it is to lose weight and he said my anti-depressants and my implanon might be working against me! Bugger!
Lissa - I think you can have about 5 more points on WW but I think they need to be special foods. I'm not 100% sure. I really want to go back but I'll wait til I'm done feeding I think, I don't want to weigh in with full (.)(.)'s, they could add 0.5kg!
Well Bridie is squealing on the floor atm, is anyone else having trouble getting their littlies to drink their milk? Bridie quite happily takes the bottle, drinks about 40ml and then you have to fight her to get anymore into her little tummy! She can take up to an hour to drink it and it's making me :hair::hair::hair: HELP!
Thanks Mel that's about what I thought!!!
Lily is still feeding like a trooper but now tends to get distracted and looks around leaving me bearing my boobies for all to see, funny when it happens at home but OMG not for all the world to see :D My other 2 girls used to go through stages when they would fuss on the bottle I think they just do it coz' they can
How hot is it???? It's 43 here at the moment thank god for air con!!!!!!!!!!!!

Melmc, so glad Bridie is enjoying daycare, make life so less stressful with you back a work. In regards to feeding I would not say I have trouble with her feeding only when we are not in her room. If she is in the living area she is too interested with what is going on and gets distracted. I am going to take note of how many bottles she has but she is having three solid feeds a day and a guess, 4-5 bottles and they need to be feed in her darkened room, the world is far more interesting then the bottle, who would blame them.
Thanks for the congrats on the weight loss. Tony Ferguson is my saviour, atm I do no exercise, who has time with three kids, and the weight is still coming off, I am sure this will not last forever but it is what I have needed, the program works for me and I enjoy it, maybe that is the key.
good luck to all of the others trying to lose weight, not an easy road when you enjoy food.
Hope all bubs who have had needles lately are feeling happier.
And finally, for all you suffering the heat, I am thinking of you and wishing the heat wave to be over. But you know we will all complain in winter that it is too cold and we want to go outside and play. Never can win with the weather.

thanks ladies for the lovely comments on my boys...it's been a good day...granted we stayed inside with the air-con on so it was nice and cool...
Maxi still thinks that 5am is party time, so I have been going walking with him and doing my exercise then...gotta love watching the sunrise...:cool:maybe..
OK, now I'm really whinging about the heat...our power has just been off for 3 hours! No fans or AC! Bridie still managed to go to sleep though, thankfully...but I just turned the TV on to see Nadal and his opponent shaking hands at the end...BUGGER! My friend (who lives nearby) just text me and said her power went back on and then off again, what a tease! Bring on winter!!! Sorry about the vent, and the QLD girls probably think I'm such a whinger, but that's why I live in Victoria, I prefer the cooler weather! OK, Shutting up now!:hair::hair::hair:
OMG NO! that would suck big time. I don't know how you are coping with no power, no fans! I am fine now as we have the AC running, but going outside just takes my breath away. It is roasting! Walking to the bin which is 5m from the back door and i am sweating! Isn't it revolting. We lost power last night but only for an hour (2 different times though). But it was interesting to note that the temp inside the house went from 25-29 in about 40 minutes! and this is at night!!!! It is just revolting.
I love the sun and heat but gosh it is hot without air conditioning. I don't think England has thermometers that go up this high!!!
Maddison had her 6 month jabs yesterday (actually a combination of 4 and 6 months - we are behind in some) and apart from screaming for a bit she seems fine. Woke up twice for a feed/drink last night and then got up at 7 this morning, she went back down for her 9-10 o'clock nap and woke up about 12.30 I was so surprised. I have managed to get 3 loads of washing done, my ironing up to date (minus the recent washing loads) cleaned the bedrooms, lounge and kitchen. Now I really am sweating  NICE!!!
Juzzy congrats on your weight loss.
Mel and Thomas glad your little ones were fine in day care, bet that is a relief.
Kangaskippy I have to agree with everyone, you have two lovely boys there.
Lisa glad your girls enjoyed swimming and that Lily is ok after her jabs.
Sorry for anyone that I missed, just playing with Maddison before I go and get her lunch ready. She really doesn't eat very much, I would say only about one icecube amount of the meal and then a small amount of whatever my dh and I are eating later. She loves her yoghurt and fruit but again doesn't eat that much of it. Mum said I don't eat much and maybe that is why, would it be? She is happy and very active, fine with her weight/height percentiles so I am not worrying, just wondering more than anything.
She has her two bottom teeth coming through and it doesn't seem to be bothering her which is great news.
Be back later all, sorry. Have a good day.

I have a quirey for all you feeding bubs soilds. Do they gag and try and throw up when you feed them veges? Zoe has been on soilds now for a while and loves banana and pear farex, any of the custards, fruit jels and puree apple and pear. But every time I have tried her on broccoli, pumpkin and today potatoe she gags, then chucks it up. Why would she be doing this, is she not ready for these foods. they are not lumpy so I don't know why. Please tell me she is not going to be a terrible eater like Harry, pleasssssse.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Juzzy - Henry wolfs down anything and everything whether it is sweet or savoury but I think it's quite common for some babies to be "non-vege" eaters :) Sounds like she just doesn't like the flavour...she might like other savoury tasting things like tomato based sauces though once she gets a bit older. Then you can sneak a few vegies in. Don't give up though...she might just not like the ones you have tried so far.
Lahri - Babies are all so different. Both of mine have been so easy to get onto solids (maybe too easy) but some babies just aren't that interested for a long time or until they start feeding themselves properly. She just might be programmed to have a smaller appetite? (if you are the same as your mum suggested). I wish I had that tendency....:o
Mel - This heat is just disgusting isn't it! Henry has had so many little feeds today despite the fact that we have the cooling on full blast. I discovered the only way he would be happy before when he was playing was to be completely starkers. Looked pretty funny as he is getting up on hands and knees a lot and everything was hanging very low IYKWIM :D
Lissa - I'm doing the WW points too (and yep it's 7 extra points). Good luck!
Kangaskippy - Lovely photos! Max has gorgeous eyes :bee:

Lib - What do you mean by nappy hunt? Hope Charlie is feeling better today.
He is much better thanks hun. The nappy hunt is a scavenger hunt through modern cloth nappy websites looking for a clickable icon. When you find a certain about you are eligible for some prizes! Highly recommend it, this will be my 4th.
Charlie does this as well, its kinda embarrasing when there are others here, or he pops off during let down and there is milk going everywhere.
OK, now I'm really whinging about the heat...our power has just been off for 3 hours! No fans or AC! Bridie still managed to go to sleep though, thankfully...but I just turned the TV on to see Nadal and his opponent shaking hands at the end...BUGGER! I couldnt imagine surviving without my aircon.
Maddison loves her solids she just doesn't seem to eat very much. It isn't really a case of preference over sweet or savoury as she will eat something off our plate after turning down any more of her food. I thought it was her transitioning from purees to more solid food, as she likes to chew food items, but she then needs lots of water to help her wash it down.
 the difficulties we all have with not knowing hey! At least she likes food in general.
Sorry Juzzy not had that but maybe it is like Alison said. Maybe try a sweeter vegetable like sweet potato (can combine that with apple) see if she does the same thing.
Hi girls
OMG it's sooooo bloody hot!!!!!!!!!!! :hair: Thank goodness for air conditioning :D Girls have been so great but they are getting bored Georgia has kinder tomorrow so that will be good for her to get out of house with her friends for a while.
Lily is coping really well as the house is nice and cool so hasn't effected her too much thankfully.
Juzzy - in regards to eating Lily eats pretty much everything. A good one is carrot with apple pureed together because it's sweeter she might eat it. I also buy the JAP pumpkin it's beautiful and sweet and I always put a small dob of butter in Lily's vegies it just gives them a little more flavour. Lily isn't too fond of potato either I think it's the consistency of it. By what you say she eats she sounds like a little sweet tooth liking all the sweeter fruits etc....I'm sure her flavours will broaden and she gets used to it.
Anyone tried meat/chicken/fish yet???? I should get around to it I guess!!!
Okay talk later girls stay cool
Anyone tried meat/chicken/fish yet???? I should get around to it I guess!!!
I've made both chicken and beef puree, Bridie loves it mixed with veges, tonight was chicken and sweetcorn...YUM! I just cut the chicken into small pieces, cooked it with some boiled water (just a splash) in a frypan and blended it into a semi lumpy puree and froze it in ince cube containers, same thing with beef mince. I made sure it was fresh and the good quality stuff so not much fat. YUM!
It is SO hot! School has no AC in the classrooms and I'm so pleased there are no kids there yet, it's roasting! Had a good day there though, got lots done. We're having an early day tmoz and going to the pub for lunch!
Thank god for our ac and fans at home! My friend and her baby (1 week older than Bridie) have been here tonight as they have no cooling. BRING ON THE COOL CHANGE!
And...OMG that man that threw his daughter off the West Gate Bridge...just unbelieveable! That poor poor poor little girl :no::no:
Mel - hurts too much to even think about what that prick of a man did to his daughter :banghead: How the hell anyone could do that to a beautiful innocent child is beyond me!!!!!!!!! Feed him to the Lions let him rot in hell for all I care.
I am so heartbroken for that poor mother, and imagine how the other 2 children must be that will forever be a vision in their heads. Just shocking I hope he gets exactly what he deserves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was told that you should do vegies first, because bubs will naturally like the sweeter things better, ie, fruit, custard, yoghurt etc. Also my health centre nurse told me that if they dont like something, dont try and force, just wait a week or so and try it again. Just a thought, are you mixing the vegies or giving them seperately? Maybe if you put some pumpkin through it as well it might taste sweeter? Sorry just one more thing I remembered with DS1. Most bubs tend to like the jar food because of the consistency, so maybe add a bit of water to the vegies and puree with a blender. I dont mind giving the fruit jarred food, but much prefer to make my own vegies and meat meals.
We are having a good day despite the heat. Felix is actually having a day sleep for once!! and at the same time as DS2. Yay:yelclap:

 Girls, will be uick from me, I have the inlaws here (give me strength!!) and DH has been called away to work, so his parents are here and he is not, I feel like I could have a nervous breakdown at any moment, :banghead:
Eme is eating her vegies REALLY well, I blend up pasta in them to bulk it up a bit, she is having about half a cup or a little less I guess. I remember AShton would never est veges, in fact would litterally vomit if I tried to feed him mashed potato, but eme gulps it down so I think they are just all totally different in likes and dislikes, like us I guess!
#2 tooth is here and 3 and 4 soon to come I think, means she hasn't been sleeping well and chewing a cold teether from around8 to 9 at night after going to bed at 6.30pm .
I'm off to have a stiff drink or something, I want my house and my husban back to myself!

Just popping in for a quick hello :wave:Thomas had his second day at family day care today and went really well, next week should be good once the other kids start as he loves playing with other kiddies.
On the job front, I found out today that I didn't get the employment consultant job that I was waiting to hear on but I ended up getting a casual position as a woolies check out chick :p not the job i was after but it will provide some much needed extra money until something else comes along. I had another interview today too with the council and I think it went really well, should know the outcome by wednesday and I also have another interview on monday morning. :fingerscrossed: i get one of them.
Well i should get back to Thomas, take care everyone :hugs:
Congratulations Mel - That's great news, hope the council job goes well and if not you'll still have Woollies to fall back on...what a relief! It's funny calling it Woollies, in Vic it's Safeway, although they're changing them all toe Woollies soon apparently.
It's still stinking hot, but it's gone down to about 34 degrees after a top of 45! Stinking! We finished our 3 days of meetings with lunch at the pub...very nice! We've just got back from a swim in my friends pool...lovely! We're going swimming again in the morning with mum's group which will be nice and then a quiet weekend before school starts on Monday...I've got 28 kids, phew!
Have a great weekend all!

Congrats Mel and :fingerscrossed: for the other job, 8 months, gosh they are growing fast!
I meant to tell u kangaskippy that those photos are adorable, big blue eyes, lubley!
Mel 28 kids is HUGE! Will be thinking of you tomorrow, I have no idea how you manage it.
Kiralee I hope you have a lovely week away, treat yourself kindly, life has been big for you lately :hugs:
Sarah, don't you just feel like you have won the lottery when they both sleep at the same time lol!
Lissa, I will be trying meat shortly although, I remember the meat nappies :barf:!!! I tried the mixing fruit and veges trick too and it's a good one, got Eme into the veges quick smart.
That poor family from the bridge tragedy. Those children in the car will live with that memory forever, can you imagine how frightened they must have been?? It does make me ask though, where was the help for the father? And he will rot in hell, the hell he has made for himself that he will have to live with. It shouldn't have come to that, We will never truly know the real circumstances surrounding the story I don't think.
Well we have decided to start weaning Eme off the dummy and I am terrified!! She has a "ruggie" as well so I am hoping she will rely in this a little more, I just can't keep getting up to put it back in its crazy. I can't let her cry though so no idea how I will do it! Anyone got any tips? Keep me strong ok lol, DH is home from wednesday so that is when we will get serious, when I have emotional support (I answer EVERY tiny noise DH is tougher than me!)
Just watching Biggest loser, one mum left her tiny baby  I sooooo couldn't do that!

Well that didn't work, first tear and I gave it back :o:rolleyes:
Well that didn't work, first tear and I gave it back :o:rolleyes:
Oh it's sooo hard I know all my girls have had them Georgia gave it up herself at 2 1/2 and Sophie about 2 weeks ago and she is 3 1/2!!! Miss Lily still has her she also has a muslin we call it her "sooky" so when she drops the dummy she sucks on her sooky but now that is worrying us as we litterally need to fish it out of her mouth she gets that much in there so I think we need to find something else makes me a little nervous that she will choke on it.
Well we had a great weekend Lily and I flew to Canberra for the day yesterday to see my beautiful friend who had her 3rd baby a couple of weeks ago a little girl and they asked DH and I to be her god parents such a huge honour :) We had a great day and flew home late yesterday then DH went out for drinks with the boys as one of his friens also had a baby .......... well he rocked on in at 2am and could hardly string 2 words together and has been useless all day :dizzy: lazy sloth on the couch watching sport flicking between channels  quite funny really he never does it so did him good to have some boy time!!!!
My beautiful Sophie starts 3yo kinder tomorrow don't know where the time has gone she is so excited!!! I'm feeling a little sad my little dollies are growing up!!!
Hope you all enjoyed your weekend girls mwahhhh :flowerz:

Wow, your pics of you boys are gorgeous! Can I ask how you get the sepia ones? Is it a setting on your camera??
Yep, just one of the setting on my little digital camera...I either can have b&w, full colour or sepia...
Well that didn't work, first tear and I gave it back :o:rolleyes:
:hugs:I can't imagine trying to take away a dummy (my 2 refuse to have them) but I know I give in to most things when there are tears!! one day they will learn this and I will be in trouble..:o
Also just wanted to say a big thanks for all the lovely comments on my 2 boys...they are the light of my life...I had a great day today with them and my toddler is really starting to amuse me with the way he thinks, talks and works things out...kids are truely amazing little creatures and I am just in awe that I have had a hand in creating them..

Hi Girlies,
Had a great weekend. But think my little darling Felix is getting his 2nd tootnhypeg. Just winhging all day long!!! Dont know if I told you but DH and I are going to marriage councilling. Had our first session today. Not too bad but got told that i am probably diagosed as being mentally depressed. Had not of thought of it as much. But they said if tick all the boxes, such as sleep deprived - YES, eating a lot less , or a lot more ,well lost 30 kg in 3 months so I guess thats a YES and also teary all the time, well YES. But I just put it down to raising 3 boys under 3, a very demanding DH. Anyway now I feel even more depressed. My pscyologist told me that being surrounded my vertually all males, and having a very soft, girly? personality makes it all the harder.
Anyway sorry about the all about me post, I just dont know what to think now???? Life is hard, but maybe I dont have what counts to raise 3 healthy boys? I dont want them to to feel sorry for their mother? I find it really hard to be tough with them, but is that what they need? Ahhhhhhhhhhh
Also the councillor said that if you have a girl first instead of a boy, the family can flow more smooth, with an extra mummy on board. Where as if you have a boy first, he just wants to kill everything below him. Which I so much agree with at the moment with DS1 nearly 4 and is just so agressive with his other brothers.
Hoping things get better soon. Love to you all XXXXX

Hey Ladies :D
Im still here, been having a break from the net for the weekend and it was lovely :goodvibes:
The weekend went way too quickly, I vote for a 2 day working week and a 5 day weeked
Sarahsboys: Good luck with the marriage counselling, I hope it all goes well for you.
Beth: Good luck with ridding the pesky dummy, Deacon lives for his
Deacon's going well, he's up on all fours more and more now and got one leg forward yesterday and then flopped on the floor  Too hard!
Wyatt started Pre-school last week, my little man is growing up, he loves it.
I have my gyno checkup this Thursday, interesting to see what happens. Im so tired, still bleeding and just over it. I want my life back NOW.
I gotta fly, hope everyone is well xo

Max is also crawling everywhere and trying to step out when standing up at the lounge...little devil... he can manage to crawl under anything and into the tiniest spaces...then gets himself stuck and needs rescuing, arrgghh the joy of crawling, i had forgotten.
He is still waking 2 - 4 times a night and wanting a feed, he eats solids 2-3times a day, has 3 - 5 b/feeds per day, loves chewing/drinking out of a sippy cup (water) and is slowly finding his voice..He will self settle every 2nd or third time I put him down to sleep, but loves to feed to sleep too...
We are still using 000 clothes but have graduated to a few 00 one's...
I can't believe he was 6mths this last week, where has the time gone? but it really is starting to get interesting now...the 2 boys are starting to interact more and Jack still loves cuddling and kissing him, but Max manages to get a mouth full of hair or a fist full, so gets his own back at times...

:smiliedance:I got a new job today...woohoo!!!!!:smiliedance:
I went for an interview for a receptionist job at a construction company today and even though I didn't get that position, they offered me another one :yelclap:It's fulltime but at casual rates as it is assisting with a current project running, I'm soooo happy. The only sad thing is I have to put Thomas in long day care each day from 7.30am-5.30pm:( I find out this afternoon when they ring back on when i start etc.
Congratulations Mel - that's great news! Much better than Woollies! Thomas will be fine too...he won't know any better.
I'm at school, all is well, kids are pretty nice, only had one crying this morning because he couldn't see his dad...very sad!
Bridie is home with her daddy! She'll be happy as larry!
Have a great day!

Melmc, great to hear you day is going well so far.
Mel congrats on the job, just a bummer it will be such a long day, but the money will be worth it.
Sarahboys you are doing a great job raising your famiy, never doubt that. Please look after yourself and remember we are all hear to listen if you need to vent. I think we all feel overwhelmed, I know I do and sometimes(alot) wonder why I had three, it is a lot of work, no one says you are doing a good job and no time for yourself. We must take care of ourselves and then it will make looking after our families easier. Maybe I should read my own advice.
Good luck.
My baby Jack 4yrs starts kindy on Thurs, OMG he is growing up and now wants to go to school as one of his friends at daycare started prep this yr and he wants to go to. I am looking forward to spending time with just Harry and Zoe at home and we are going to try and have a day where Harry is at care and Jack is home so we can have some one on one time with him. I think it will do the boys some good to be away from eachother and have our undivided attention with out the other around. See how it goes.
Hope you are all well. Nothing else to report here.
Seeya.
Juzzy I hear you about the kids needing time apart
I have Georgia at 4yo kinder & Sophie at 3yo kinder this year so they will spend quite alot of time apart this year compared to what they are used to and wow am I looking forward to a little less fighting between them!!!!!!! I think they rely on eachother so much and are so used to having eachother there it will hopefully make them appreciate how lucky they are to have eachother.
Lily is cruising along still no teeth but not far away I can see the little white lines under her gum so cute.
Sarah having 3 kids is bloody hard work some days I feel like I am going to crack it's not so much that I am busy I can deal with that it's the constant fighting & yelling between them it seriously does my head in some days I'm sure my neighbour thinks all I do it yell at them  If I could take away their arguing my life would be perfect and make them listen to me DD2 is a shocker at the moment I have tried many different tacks but she just doesn't listen I can ask her 100 times to do or not to do something and I just get this "whatever mum" :raspberry: attitude god help me when she is a teenager. Seriously though take care of yourself and try and make time out for you I do on weekends Sat mornings are my time DH just knows not to make plans because I am either in bed sleeping or out doing my own thing.
Morning all,
How are you doing today? Things are going well here, Maddison's front two teeth are working their way up. They haven't really bothered her much at all, they had cut before we even noticed she was teething.
My DH's work is really stressful again, we hope he can hang on until we get our PR. We think they will try to make him redundant in April, they have been trying to shaft him for too long because he can bring them all crashing down. He can't do anything really until we get our PR otherwise we have to leave  God help them is all I can say. He has never been a spiteful man but he is going to take them down when he finishes working for them. I really wish our lawyers would hurry up with our application, they have stalled long enough.
Mel hope teaching is going well, you have a large class. I looked into teaching in the UK, they have classes of 32 children, I personally think that is far too many. I actually wanted to teach Deaf children so you only tend to have about 8 or 9 in a class. Maybe one day I will go back to working the Deaf children, I LOVED it.
Sarah sorry to hear you are down, sending lots of :hugs::hugs:your way. Hopefully the marriage counseling with work for you, if you are depressed will they give you some medication to help things improve? I don't normally believe in taking meds but if it helps you get through this situation then you can think about trying again without them. It must be difficult coping with three little ones mainly on your own and boys are supposed to be more demanding. On the positive note, they say they are easier as they get to teenagers and then it is the girls you have to worry more about. Keep your chin up, we are always here for you if you need to talk.
mummy to thomas congratulations, that is great news. I know it means Thomas has to go into day care but just think of all those lovely smiles, cuddles and kisses yo will get when you go and collect him. Well done! :yelclap:
Beth good luck with the dummy situation. How about using it to get her off to sleep, then taking it out of her mouth (try during day naps so it doesn't affect your sleep too much) shortly after she drifts off. She will wake up the first few occasions but she will soon learn that it will be removed. It may mean that her day time naps are messed up for a little bit but it may help you at night time. Sorry no other ideas.
Going to get offline and hang my washing out. Gosh it is going to be another hot one, at least I can keep up with my washing.
Okay a quick question:
How is using MCN's and which brand is your favourite and why? I was considering using them for Maddison but someone told me you have to buy two different sizes and wait until she is 6 months old. I have recently learned that that isn't actually the case, depending on which brand you use. Was thinking about trying them out now, even though it is going to cost me a small fortune to buy them all. Just looking into which brand is best and where do I go from here?
Thanks all.

Beth- I am the same with getting Charlie to sleep with out feeding him too sleep.
Sarah- i hope the marriage counselling helps you and your family. Having a diagonsis of why you feel so run down is a good thing, it will help you move through it. :hugs:
Bep- i hear you on the 5 day weekend! I hope everything goes fantastically at your gyno appt on thursday.
Mez- we are still in 000 clothes as well. Charlie is soo much smaller than Will, i think he was closer to 00 even some 0, he was a chubba bubba.
Dont worry charlie stills likes to be feed to sleep, although he is refusing it at the night time sleep, prefers his dummy,:confused:
Mel- Thats awesome news about your job!! Its hard leaving them for some long, i had will in Family day care from 8-5 and it was hard, but he loved it, now he goes to a preschool and he loves it even more there. Jenna- Sorry to hear that your DH is having a rough time at work, they sound like they are in for it soon.
We use MCN's, i am in love with Itti Bittis. We have 16 medium ones and they go from 6kgs to 11kgs. I have some other brands that i havent used yet, but i have to get them ready as he is now big enough to wear them and i will let you know how i go.
Are you going to register for the GDUNH? You get a code that gives you a discount to soooo many stores that your head will explode, seriously.
Is anyone hear from the Blacktown area in Sydney, i am heading down that way on the weekend and would love to know a great little cafe or shops to visit while i am there, i have about 3 hours i need to fill.

Hi Everyone:wave:
Thanks for all your positive comments. I'm sure things will get better. Although I got my ultrasound results back and I do have gall stones, so most probably will have to have my gall bladder out. Oh well at least now I know the reason why I was in so much pain!
I think Felix is getting his 2nd tooth. Has been very grissly which is not like him. Not sleeping well, but then thats no different.
DH has taken DS1 out tonight, and the other two have been in bed since 730, so feel like I have a night off. Going to go watch some telly without being interupted!
Night Night x
snapcracklepop what is GDUNH? sorry. Thanks for the advice though, I will maybe buy one of those and try them. Have had recommendations to try Peapods so will do.
Sarah glad to hear they now know why you have been in so much pain, hope they schedule a operation soon. Poor little Felix have you tried the teething powders? I think they work for M.

Sarah - I think marriage counselling was one of the best things we ever did for our family, I'm a big fan. Good on you for working at it and not settling for being unhappy, its a brave decision. I can only imagine 3 boys! They just have sooo much energy I will never understand it. I am sure that mothers who have only girls think that I am a terrible parent when Ash is running and running and running and running (lol) but I have just had to realise that little girls and boys are totally different :hugs:
I agree what is GDUNH  lol, sounds good!
Jenna, I understand hubby work dramas, it really affects the whole household doesn't it? What does he do? Sounds stressful. I hope your PR comes ASAP although from what I have heard they do nothing quickly!
Melissa - Oh preschool, I love it! Hopefully Georgia and Sophie will become firm friends on the days they are together, you can hope anywy!
Congrats on the job Mel :yelclap:
Sorry to anyone I've missed DS getting demanding do I'll make the rest quick!
We have an ant invasion here, I am so so so over it, they are in my flipping undies drawer eating the elastic, makes me feel dirty!!
Eme had mince with her veges last night and did very well, DH is home, a few days off before his new job starts so I will save today's meat nappy for him :barf: lol.
Good luck 2morro Bep, let us know how you go

Hmm ok thanks will take a look.
Still don't think I get it! You are just supposed to look at websites? Maybe I am just that little bit too thick to work it out.
Hi everyone,
Sarah - Sorry to hear about the gallstones. I hope the marriage counselling works out well:) Hopefully Felix's teeth come through so you can get some better sleep soon.
Jenna - Sounds like your DH is going through some pretty stressful times at the moment (which of course means you would be too). I hope your permanent residency comes through quickly.
SJR - Wow 6 teeth already! Henry doesn't even have one yet. I really thought his two bottom ones were going to pop through a few weeks ago but nope they are still sitting just under the gum surface...we have about a week of bad sleeping but not even one tooth to show for it.:o I'm not looking forward to when they do emerge although it is obviously inevitable. Wow also at the 12kg  Do you have any recent photos??
Us - Our main news at the moment is that Henry has started crawling...he has had quite a few nasty knocks the last few days (I think about 6 today ). I'm sure DD was much more steady and careful when she started. I guess that's boys for you. We have also had to lower his cot as he is pulling up on the rails all the time. We should have done it a while ago but we kept thinking...next weekend. Anyway it is done now so at least he won't be able to fall out.
I thought I would post a pic of Henry taken yesterday...how quickly they grow up :)

OMG what a week! I have been FLAT OUT! with school, meetings, picking up and dropping off Bridie, being home in time for DH to go to work and an enormous group of grade 4's! PHEW! We've also had both sets of parents here! I've been in here too, but my laptop refuses to acknowledge that this is a site at all...grrrrr! It's due to be replaced at any moment!
Anyway...hope you're all well, I'm heading to bed for some shuteye! Catch you all over the weekend...although that is lookg very busy too!
Sorry for the selfish post...just wanted to let you know I'm still here!

Sarah, all the best with the marriage counselling :hugs:
Jenna, fingers crossed your PR comes through ASAP. We use MCN's too and are using the brand I love cloth, they are great.
SJR, wow 12kg's and 6 teeth, go Raff :yelclap:
Alisonp, Henry is just gorgeous :cloud9:
Beth, good luck getting rid of those ants, I HATE them :o
Bep, i hope everything went well at your appt today :hugs:
Mel, sounds like a very busy week for you, bring on the weekend.
Us, we are prodding along. Thomas had an appt with the CHN today and at 8 months old he is 9.48kg's and in the 50th percentile for weight and height and 65th percentile for head circ. She was generally very happy with his progress and development but is a little worried about his flat head at the back. I'm going back to our paed on 26th March to have his review so fingers crossed he is happy how it is going. It's alot better than it used to now that he is more mobile.
Thomas has taken to waking up at night again but i think it is his teeth. He just cut his 5th tooth and i can see another one slowly moving down. He is starting fulltime day care from monday as I start my new job then. He will be going 7.30-5.30 mon-fri. I feel guilty for it being so long but i know that he is fine there and enjoys playing with the other kids. Well that's enough blah from me tonight :p take care everyone....bye
Mel hope you managed to have a break and get some rest at least, sounds like you are keeping very busy. How are you doing over there? I hope not at risk of the fires.
Alison what a little cutie, really nice photo.
mummy to thomas hope his day in care went okay, I bet it was lovely to go and pick him up after being at work and get a big cuddle and kiss.
Well it is now gone 1 am and I can't sleep. My DH has only just got home from the pub and is probably very drunk so I guess he is already asleep, no problems. I am going to have to get up to Maddison in the next couple of hours and look after her all day on probably a couple of hours sleep. It is so blooming hot here and even with 2 fans going in the bedroom it is over 33 degrees in there. I have had 20 minutes sleep at the most. At least Maddison is sleeping, she didn't go down until 9.30 in the end being as he sleep pattern is all messed up in this heat, poor little girl.
How is everyone? It is really quiet in here, so I hope you are all having a good weekend.

Hmmm very quiet in here, i hope everyone is ok and having a good weekend. For those of you in VIC, please take care and be safe :hugs: We are all thinking of you during this terrible time.
Hi girls,
It really is quiet in here! I've had a big weekend although not as big as it could have been...I'm not sure if I ever mentioned that DH is a career firefighter, so you can imagine how busy he has been. He hasn't actually been on the fire front but has worked phones, radios, advice and the general small jobs at his own station. Their trucks are all at the major fires so he has some of the city firefighters and their trucks stationed at his station. He should be home in the next hour or so and then back there tomorrow. All this has been really short notice so I'm having to take a day of work tomorrow as we have noone to look after Bridie! Oh well, that's the way it goes. It was SO hot yesterday, Victoria's hottest on record apparently...and the fires are just heartbreaking. We're very safe, but some friends have had to be on ember watch on their out of town properties...so far the only losses among our friends are 2 guinea pigs :( The devastation is just beyond belief...entire towns are gone...just unbelieveable! Friends had their wedding in the midst of the fires yesterday too, although I'm sure some of the guests couldn't go as the highway was shut! Just shocking stuff...and that the fires were deliberately lit is just sickening!
Anyway - I hope everyone is well, Bridie has coped quite well with the heat, we have AC so we haven't suffered too much. The cool change today was a major relief. Jenna I hope you've got some cooler weather by now too!
Hi ladies...I thought I would stick my head in here, and ask for your help...Dd is 6 and a half months now, and her sleep is going totally out the window..just getting her to bed before midnight is becoming nigh impossible. Is this happening to anyone else? Is this completely normal?

Just wanted to pop in and see how everyone is doing.
I hope those in Victoria are staying safe. My heart goes out to you.
To those having sleep issues, :hugs:. It is hard, but there is light at the end of the tunnel.
To those with teething issues, i feel your pain, Charlie is getting tooth #5. :(.
Charlie is now crawling. Its so cute, he lifts his bum and jumps.
Both boys have runny noses, its gross. Charlie hates the booger sucker. I have a sore throat and my dad is sick as well. Oh, and my neice caught the boys cold while we were away on the weekend.
Anyway i'd better go, got house work to catch up on that didnt get done while i was away.

Hi girls well I too have been slack on the computer front this is a crazy year for me with the girls and kinder etc..... DD1 goes to kinder on Tues/Thurs/Fri & DD2 Mon/Fri then swimming lessons on Weds so lots of running around and when I am home I'm usually doing the daily jobs or looking after the 3 girls. I must say I am enjoying kinder because DD1 & DD2 are apart a fair bit this year the house is so quiet but I am enjoying less fighting between them ahhhh......!!!!!!!
My heart is breaking watching all these fires and devastation that is going on around us at the moment we have made $$$$ donations and also gave a heap of baby clothes and the older girls clothes too some of it was like brand new a few of Lily's things still had tags on them or they were in packets so happy to help them all out just wish we could do more
Well girls hope youare all okay and your little ones are all well
Oh before I go Miss Lily has cut her 2 bottom teeth very, very cute she has been such a good girl we didn't even know they were coming think she is going to be good like her big sisters

Hi All,
Just popping in to say hi, and hope all those affected by the fires and floods are keeping safe. I really hope these few cooler days have helped manage the fires. No one that i know have been hurt in the fires thank god, my in-laws have been on alert since saturday they are packed ready to go if the need be... but i think they have the fires at bay where they are now. (up in the Kilmore/Flowerdale area).
Mel - i was thinking of Cam as i remembered he was a fireman. Hope things calm down soon.
Al - Henry is a cutie, he has grown heaps since i last saw you guys
Lissa - glad that you are getting a bit of quite time at home with your girls going off to kinda etc. And that is a great thing you have done with donations to those poor fire victims.
Badgersmum - hope that your DH's job gets sorted soon.
SnapCracklePop - 5 teeth now... wow and crawling, what a clever little boy.
Bubmum - Jessica is a good self settler now, so i have no suggestions for you, but hope you have better luck with your dd sleep soon, i would be a walking zombie by now.
I know i said i would keep up with this thread, but after the first week and 60+ posts i gave up.
MY NEWS...
For those that remember me talking about the terrible thing that happened to my nephew late last year in Port Macquarie, just thought i would update you all...
My brother and his wife went to the court yesterday for the sentancing and the guy got 16 years jail. We are all so happy, hope he rots in jail.
Jessica is now 7mths, has 2 teeth and is just crawling. She has started swimming lessons - which she just loves, splashes and kicks around all the time. She is having 2-3 sleeps a day of 1-1.5hrs each, and is making it really easy for me to pick up on the tired signs, so when i see them, its off to bed and she is asleep within 5 min. Such a releif compared to the early days. She is also in bed by 7.30pm these days. (sometimes 6.30pm)
Saw her first temper tantrum yesterday... she was getting tired and was playing with a toy (she sits on a car thingy) when i took her off it and sat her on the floor she just screemed and looked at the car, she would not stop crying. I picked her up and put her back on it and immediatly the crying stopped! Gotta break this habbit or i will be in trouble soon!!
Anyway better go, hope you are all well.

I hope he rots and that others in there find out the reason why he is in there and they give him what for.
Mez- your little man is sooo clever. i cant believe how fast they grow up.
Charlie is saying dadadada all day, not that he wants daddy but he says it, and he waves now, its so cute.
Hello Hello!
Sorry I have been so slack updating everyone. I do come in and check to see how everyone is going, just dont have the time to update you all.
Things with us are good.
I'm starting to get my life back after all the drama going on with my body. Since Tuesday the bleeding has FINALLY stopped. Thank goodness.
I got my blood work back yesterday, Im no longer anemic :smiliedance: Best news I heard!
Test results came back last week, Ive been cleared all ALL cancer in my uterus, ovaries and cervix :smiliedance: That was the biggest relief, I was so worried.
My uterus is back to paper thin instead of being 2 cm thick. The operation finally helped and he removed the mirena he inserted as it may the problems worse!
I have another check up in 3 months, provided Im OK still, I cant always go back between now and then if need be.
News on Wyatt and Deacon. Wyatt is loving his swimming lessons and can swim on the bottom of the pool and collect swimming discs from the bottom. He's loving pre-school and is growing up fast.
Deacon the little monkey is crawling and OMG, he's a little devil LOL Chasing Dan around the lounge this morning trying to bite his feet
He says Daddda all the time now, I got one "mummmm" and now it's all Daddy, typical!
So, I can get back to enjoying my life again, Im off to get a new waredrobe in the next month or two, so stoked LOL I have a girls night coming up with my girlfriends in 2 weeks, really looking forward to letting my hair down and the week after that Mum is having the kids for the night and Daniel and I are having some "Us" time. Really looking forward to that :D
Tlsmum:I just wanted to add in my post that I read your post about your nephew and the guy responsible will be away for 16 yrs, this is very good result. I hope you guys can now move forward and start to heal :hugs:
Thoughts to everyone in VIC.

Wow thats fantastic, well done Charlie!!
Eme has a cold and is not coping, won't feed unless its between 12pm and 6am DH got mucked around starting new job so money is really stressing us. Just everything a bit at the mo! Its all good, brighter days around the corner I am sure.
Oh hun sorry to hear about all the stresses your having right now.:hugs: I can totally relate about the money issues. My DH only got a job this week after being unemployed for 2mths. It was a very stressful time and even now they still cant guarantee his job!
Oh before I go Miss Lily has cut her 2 bottom teeth very, very cute she has been such a good girl we didn't even know they were coming think she is going to be good like her big sisters
Night night
Wow great job Lily on cutting teeth!!

Thats fantastic news hun, im so glad that everythings come back fine. You've been through so much, i can only imagine how horrible you must of been feeling lately. The good news you got back must be so a blessing. Take care hun! :hugs:
Well Ariana is doing well. She got checked up the other day at the drs. Her weight is sitting on 50% which is such a blessing after the war we had at the begining with weight. Her length is over 97% which is fantastic. The dr said shes doing all the right things. :yelclap: Shes getting better with sitting up on her own now. She still has no teeth yet and def hasnt started crawling. She only rolled over from back to tummy the first time last week!! :smiliedance:She also now throughs tantys with the kids and when she doesnt want something, i cant believe how young they start, lol. So im really happy with her progress.
My back is still pretty unstable at the moment, i have to see a specialist now cause i lost feeling over the weekend and its still on and off. Hopefully it gets better soon.
I cant believe the devastation with the VIC fires, its so horrible and heartbreaking. I hope they find the little ******* that started them and lock them away for life, even thats not enough!!
Well i think thats about it for now. I hope everyone is going well, take care.

Yay to all the babies who are crawling
Us - we had a great time on holiday last week i wish i was still their it was great. Unfortunatly we didn't get to meet bep but i'm sure we will catch up with her next time im up their.
Aysha got a cold the last day we were up their and it's finally starting to take a toll on her took me 2 hours of her constant crying to get her to sleep at about 6 this morning :banghead: so frustrating. So she hasn't been sleeping that well since we have come back. I hope it goes away soon so we can both get a good nights sleep.
No crawling or teeth here.... but she is constantly pulling her self up and wanting to stand all the time... with my help of course.... so maybe she might just miss crawling.... or maybe not time will tell i guess.

I am sure that the b@#tard will get whats coming to him in Jail, i hear they dont take kindly to his sort in prison. Thanks for all your support.
Has anyone with reverse facing car seats turned them around yet? If so how do you know when to turn them?

We have turned aysha around. We turned her because she was constantly trying to sit up in it.
hope that helps

Thanks Kiralee, Jessica is always trying to sit up too and screams with frustration when i put the seatbelt on.
I have herd that they should be a certain weight or age... not really sure what to do.

i think the age is 6 months not sure though... but if she is getting frustrated i would try turning her around and see how she likes it.

Hi girls, thanks for all the nice messages for Cam, he's safe and well and hasn't been sent away. He's doing extra night shifts though and is BUGGERED! The devastation is just shocking and the smoke, even where we are is disgusting. We cancelled a school meeting this week as it was in the line of where the fires may burn and we've been out to friends tonight in fireprone areas to make sure they're ok and all clear. It really makes you think about what you would do...I've told Cam that no matter what, we're leaving in the event of a fire and we're not splitting up, everyone stays together. Shocking stuff!
Bridie is doing really well, she loves daycare and is getting a bit better at sitting on her own. She must be about to get a tooth as her cheeks are all rosy, she keeps pulling on her ears and she's drooling like crazy! And boy can she give my nipple a work out! (Sorry TMI!)
School is busy, but today I got my new laptop, I get a newone every 3 years for a nominal fee and the old one was very ill! So just working out this Vista thing!!!
So glad to hear about all the babies crawling and teething! It's so exciting!
Tracey, I'm sure the carseat info is in the link Shell posted but our carseat says to turn it when baby is 8-11kgs. We plan to turn ours soon as Bridie's legs are crumpling up as she's quite tall! Good luck.
Catch you all soon xxx
HI all sorry for not being round much of late....Tahliah has started school and so I am trying to find my routine and groove with that, just never seems to be enough time during the day while she is at school....so tasks that would normally take a day take about two or three....anyways apart from that am having lots of appointments with drs and specialists as I have found a lump in one of my breasts, and seeing as we have a big family history of this in my family it is a bit scary...but not need to worry at the moment as worrying wont fix anything....just wanted you all to know why I have been a bit slack...well all of the above and then having three little ones and all....should be a piece of cake huh!? hehehe
Anyways missing you all and hoping to get on here more often....hope you are all well and will chat again soon
PS Sorry for the all about me post just have a billion things to do today as we have one of our best friends coming to stay tonight and you can barely walk into the spare room at the moment so must get that whip cracking
Big Hugs Sasha and the tribe!
Sasha - I'm so sorry to hear you have found a lump :( Good luck with all of your tests. It must be a huge worry for you (((hugs)))
Tracey - We actually turned DD's car seat I think when she was over 8kg (I think, can't quite remember, maybe around 10mo). I wouldn't have done it so early but she used to scream blue murder in the car and it was making it really dangerous for me to drive anywhere at all so I made the decision to turn her around for both of our safety :o Once she was facing forwards it made driving a lot less stressful. As everyone else has said, if you can leave them facing backwards it is definitely a lot safer. I will be leaving Henry that way until he is much older but he is a great traveller so luckily driving with him is a pleasure not torture!
That's also good news about that guy getting such a long gaol sentence
Crawling babies - Well done to all the new little crawlers!! Deacon, Charlie and Jessica!! Wow we have a lot of early movers in our group! Henry is progressively getting more and more coordinated with his crawling and standing. I don't think he has fallen badly once today so that's a good thing!
Bep - That's great news that the bleeding has settled down for you! You must be so relieved.
Jayden's mum - Good news also about Ariana's weight and progress. Well done Ariana!
Us - My main news is that the other day I went to get my pap smear and I mentioned that I had felt a firm area in my abdomen. Anyway, this week I have been in and out getting tests done. I think the ultrasound has showed I have an enlarged gall bladder and a stone but they wouldn't tell me so I will have to wait to see the Drs next week :hair: It's so frustrating!
:hugs: Sasha :hugs: My PM box is open if you need a chat. When do you get your results back, all the best hun.
Just thought I would let you girls know that I changed my username ;)

Anyway better go, hope you are all well.Hi Hun! I'm glad they caught that guy, too often they don't! Crawling? WOW! Eme is just begginning to learn to sit on her own lol. Have you been feeling better in yourself lately hun? We are having temper tantrums at bedtime, its taken me a week to work it out but she just doesn't want to go to bed. she will be screaming bloody murder and when I walk over to the cot she switches it off and grins! I just don't know what to do?? I never did control crying with Ash but it might be called for with little miss, I really don't like the word control though :o. Any advice anyone? It took me two hours to settle her last night and she woke 5 times through the night :(, and has for the last week. I'm pretty stressed about it all.
Max now has a 4th tooth...top left incisor...now to wait for the teeth to arrive on the right hand side of his mouth (top and bottom)..hehehe

We moved Eme around when she hit 9.5 kgs, shes much happier but won;t go to sleep in the car now.....

She must be about to get a tooth as her cheeks are all rosy, she keeps pulling on her ears and she's drooling like crazy! And boy can she give my nipple a work out! (Sorry TMI!) Oh I know!!! The turn around and see what's happening while its on your mouth is just LOVELY.... not! Tell Cam we all think he is a hero, and give him a foot rub or something lol

Oh hun! That's awful, argh!! Sometimes you just wanna stop the world and get off for a week or so hey? We have massive family history too so when I found a lump all the doctors paniced, it was awful and can I suggest asking for an Emla patch before hand if they do a needle biopsy, my poor boob was black and blue. Sorry, that might not be helpful, not saying it to be horrible, just heads up so you can ask for one! :hugs: and we are always here and are fine with all about you posts!

Well we had our first week of both the girls at kinder and wow was it busy!!!! Lots of in and out of the car but they both really enjoyed it and the time apart has done them good as they are playing beautifully today so hopefully that will continue :fingerscrossed: Lily is going really well she has cut the 2 bottom teeth and is finally sitting up on her own so she is very happy & content at the moment. Have to watch her big sisters though I walked into the lounge this morning to find DD1 & DD2 holding her in the air  very scary although all 3 of them thought it was hilarious!!!!
Quiet weekend for us got no plans which is nice, we are off to CBR next weekend to see my BF and her DH and kids we are god parents to her DD so looking forward very much to spending some special time with them all.

Badgersmum - Yes i have been feeling much better the last 2 months, i think getting out and going to mothers group and now catching up with those ladies once a week really helped me out. (as well as letting it all out to DF).
How are you going?
Dont you just love it when they first start to sit up. I get excited every time Jessica does something different!
As for the Temper Tantrams, it is a bit easier for me, she does the tanty over toys, so being a mean mother, i just take it off her until she behaves again!! Dont really know what you would do for the Bedtime Tanty, (it's kinda cute that she smiles at you - she knows you will come back!!!) Jessica sometimes cries when i put her down during the day, i close her door and within 2-4 min she is asleep. I can now tell the difference between all her cries so it is easy for me to know to just leave her. Maybe you could try CC as long as it doesn't turn into "emotional crying" i am sure she will be fine (hard at first to do but better in the long run)
Al - Hope all comes back ok with your tests. When do you find out? sending you some :hugs:.
I have just had some tests done too, but just a full blood test for dizzyness and x-ray for knee problems. Have results tomorrow.
Have checked my carseat instructions and i can leave it until she is 12kg, so i think after watching that utube video i might leave it reward facing. She gets frustrated, but does not scream the house down. Thanks for that link Shell.
Can someone tell me how to change my user name?
Hope everyone has had a great weekend.

Well after 2 hours tonight her cry has changed to very distressed so she is on the lounge with a cold teether and still upset. I went in every two minutes, picking her up sometimes, replacing dummies others. I can't see any teeth close but she is definately not happy about something. Gave her panadol an hour ago. :( I'm really upset, I just don't know what to do. Same routine everynight, dinner bath, boob and a song on her room, bed. The MCHN I have seen is really good but so hard to get in to.
Oh, Tracey, you have to email a mod to change your username  xx
Oh Beth it's so heartbreaking. I know you shouldn't but will she fall asleep if you cuddle her??? I think you are right though there is something upsetting her!!!
Just love her it's a phase hopefully and it will pass :hugs:

My little man is cutting more teeth, not just 1 or 2...he has 4 that have cut through at once!!!! so now he has 4 top and 4 bottom that all hit!! OMGolly gosh!!!
so needless to say his sleep patterns are highly varied and wanting booby alot... but other than that he is doing brilliantly with such a large amount of teeth popping through!!
Sasha - :hugs: hope tests are all good...
HI girls
Thanks so much for all the support!!! Trying to get into my doctor tomorrow and then we will go from there, had been referred onto a specialist but he wont see me til I have had a ultrasound and a mammogram but went for the mammogram and they wouldnt do it on me because of my age and that i am breastfeeding!!! Really upset me, the lady treated me as though I was a hypochondriac....then had the ultrasound some where else as I didnt want them to do it....and they have found a second one!!! Scary....trying not to think of it at the moment. Just got to go to the doctor then try and get back in to the specialist, will be a bunch of hoops to jump through I think. James wants me to write a letter of complaint to the place who refused to treat me making my condition sound serious etc just to make them feel bad, he almost rang and abused them himself but I keep telling him karma....and I dont want bad karma coming back to me so I will just leave it.
Anyways that is what is happening with that.
Mel works sounds like it would definitely keep you busy, good luck with making your decision.
Kangaskip wow 8 teeth huh!!! Oh my lordie lord...Chrace only has two stilll....but he just started crawling properly this morning you know one knee and one arm then the other and so forth, not just caterpillar crawling so he is growing up way too fast without getting more teeth.
Beth thanks for thnak for the heads up, I think that that might be the next course of action is a biopsy, I have already had one lump removed a few years ago and that wasnt nice so I only want to have that done if I really need it. And thanks for hearing me on how crazy everything is....I do feel like that, just wish exactly like you said that the world would stop and that I could have some me time for a bit....just lucky that I have James and that he is just so amazing! How are you and miss mill???? No good that she is not happy and not been herself, thinking of you, hate it when they have to go through phases like that Hugs
Bep thanks for the support and for thinking of me hon. Awesome news for you too....so happy for you, I think I came in at the end and missed all the drama, scary that you were worried about cancer too.....big hugs, glad that yo have been cleared and that you are also no longer anemic...
Alison thanks for thinking of me and I hope that you get the all clear that is going on with you in your body too....ahhh isnt it frustrating
Tracey so glad that they locked the guy away, i hope that things will start to get better for your brothers family now and that they can breathe slightly easier knowing that he is away for a long time.
Lisa that is cute about the girls, not so good about them picking up your little one though, I must say though Tahli did the same thing a few weeks ago though, she had picked up Chrace and he was virtually upside down....scared the life out of me, she is a strong girl though and Chrace is used to rough play but still she got in a lot of trouble....ahhhh got to have eyes in the back of your head.
Ok well I know I have missed people, hope you are all well....I better go and have some brekkie and then get these boys to bed so I can work on the washing and ironing and cleaning and anything else that I come across....bloody hell us mums have to be super women dont we!~!

We have some exciting news, we have finally booked our wedding It's 3rd October 2009 and I can't wait!!! The church and reception is booked, now i just need to put the photographer and I will be happy the main big items have been organised
Well it's off to bed for me, soooo tired. Take care everyone
Congrats on the date. We have been engaged for 2.5 yrs and are no closer to a date.
 8 teeth, thats crazy!!!!
Really looking forward to that
Thoughts to everyone in VIC.
Bep
Charlie does the same thing, i hardly get a mumma anymore.
Its not the age, its the weight that counts. Im going to keep Zack backwards for as long as possible because ive seen what can happen in an accident.
I seen that video and i want to keep rear warded facing as long as possible, although DF wants to turn him around..
anyways apart from that am having lots of appointments with drs and specialists as I have found a lump in one of my breasts, and seeing as we have a big family history of this in my family it is a bit scary...
:hugs: my thoughts are with you through this scary time.
Really upset me, the lady treated me as though I was a hypochondriac....then had the ultrasound some where else as I didnt want them to do it....and they have found a second one!!! Scary....trying not to think of it at the moment
What a horrible lady. :hugs:
Well i weighed Charlie yesterday and he is 8.030 kgs. He has but on just under 1.5kgs in 2 months. Slow and steady my lil dude.
Just a quick one...I got my results today. It wasn't a stone in my gall bladder but rather a polyp. Now I have to see the surgeon to see if they want to cut out my GB :( Very low chance that it is malignant so not sure what will happen with that. Otherwise my organs all looked good except for my ovaries which were apparently full of follicles!! So I have polycystic ovaries and didn't even know it!
Sasha - What an awful experience with the mammogram :( Sorry to hear about the second lump :crying: Good luck with your next series of tests.
Mel - Congrats on setting the date. How exciting!:smiliedance:
KangaSkippy - Wow 8 teeth! Henry is still trying to cut his first two on the bottom. The last few days he has barely slept during the day and has been horrible to try and get to bed at night.

 wow 9 that's insane.... aysha has none.
Sasha - :hugs: hun.... 2 lumps.... i hope you get everything sorted.... and those people omg how rude you wouldn't be going their if you didn't have a reason to be their.
As for me i got aysha weighed on monday and she weighs 8.62kgs but she looks so little lol and she is still in 000 but i think she will need 00 in some winter suits for when it starts to cool off.
Luke is going to the drs tomorrow to get a referral to go to marriage counselling.... i really cant wait for marriage counselling to start means i'll get answers i so desperatly need. Just hope we can get in asap... having no answers is taking a toll on me.
grass is always greener
19-02-2009, 22:07
Kir- thats awesome that you are one step closer to getting some much needed answers.
I know what you mean about the size. Charlie is still in 000, i am going to do a layby soon (maybe this weekend) of some 00 winter clothes.
Allisonp-:hugs: how did everything go hun.
Mez- 9 TEETH!!!!:eek: Your lil man is growing up too too too fast.
I have to monitor my sugar levels for the next couple of days as i had a moment today. My levels went low and i started feeling funny. My legs almost gave way, so i was on the phone to the nurse at my GPs, she suggested that i keep an eye on my levels over the next few days. I am going to the doctor on monday with my levels from the weekend and to arrange a blood test. I have my sisters blood glucose machine (or a finger pricker), she kinda has diabetes (long story).
We all seem to be having health issues atm, so i wanna give a few :hugs::hugs::hugs: to us all.
hey girls
Thanks once more for all your support, went to the doctors again yesterday...feel like i live there at the moment....have an appointment to go back to the hospital next week for an ultrasound on the other breast now to rule out any lumps on that side seeing as we found a second on the first one, and then straight after that I have to have a ultrasound guided biopsy on the two lumps we know i have....ick....so will keep you posted how i go after that.
That is no good for you at all Libby, hope you get some answers at the doc on monday, no good having to prick yourself everyday though. And I agree with all of us needing hugs at the moment. Thanks for the well wishes. Yeah stupid woman at the mammogram place....oh well really didnt want to have my breasts squished into pancakes anyways but still not the point, although I reckon it must have been a man who invented the damn machine!!! Yay on your little guys weight...but Chrace must be a heavy weight, he was 9.5kg a month ago....wonder what he is now? On 3 meals a day to keep him going!!! Little gutso he is!
Kiralee that is good to hear about finally getting some marriage counselling. I hope that you get the answers you need and that you can repair your marriage. My hubbys eldest brothers wife has just left him, simply took their little girl to Tassie, where so is from and then told him once she was there that it was over....just so shocking you hear of marriages falling apart but you never think it will happen so close to home....at least you are both willing to work at it, my sister in law certainly isnt she thinks because it has been rough for 3 months that she has done her bit so I take my hat off to you. Hugs that it all goes well
Mez cant believe that your little man has 9 teeth!!!! My god Chrace only has two....just goes to show how different they all really are hey.
Alison thanks for the well wishes hon, like i said will keep you all posted. that is good to hear that your chances of it not being malignant are good. No good about your ovaries though. Thinking of you. None of us are going very well with our health at the moment are we!?
Well I must away, million things to do today, try and get it all done so I can put my feet up with James and the kiddies this weekend, thankfully have no commitments except for Chraces pixifoto appointment in the morning tomorrow which is a nice change so hopefully it will be lovely and relaxing....and the best part it I dont have to walk up the giant hill to take Tahli to Prep for 2 whole days!!!
hugs to all

Hi Everyone:yelclap:
Sorry its been so long since i have posted, but have been really suffering with these gall stones. Not sure if I told you but the ultrasound came back, and I have lots of little gall stones and will need to have my gall bladder out. OMG the pain is so intense when I have an attack. Usually happens at night and can last up to a couple of hours. Anyway I have an appointment with the specialist on the 4th March, and hopefully they will do the surgery asap.
Sasha - Sorry sorry to hear your news sweetie. Hope you are coping ok and you get good results soon xxx
Hope everyone's bubs are behaving. Felix is still a terrible sleeper. Wakes 6 - 10 times a night, and lately I cant even feed him back to sleep. just refuses and wants to be carried by his zomby mum all night. He has 2 bottom teeth, but has had a slight fever for a couple of days so maybe some more are coming. Oh the joys of teething!! But I must say he is a very happy baby usually, so shouldnt complain too much. Will have to download some pics when I finally work out how to do it.

Sarah i know what your going through been their in less then 3 months now.... once you get on the waiting list keep going to the hospital everytime you have an attack so they ca nsee how bad you are and your surgery will get done alot quicker.
the attacks usually last 4 hours.
have you worked out what is causing it? once you have try and avoid eating it will make life alot easier and you will get alot less attacks.
Well luke went to the dr's he cant get a referral to get it cheaper because he has already had one this year but he said he is going to pay for marriage counselling out of his pocket which is good... shows he's going to make the effort now all he has to do is ring and make an appoinment asap
Hi Girls,
I've been lurking around but too busy to post...Bridie has woken up early, so I have some time!
Mel - Congrats on the wedding date, it's so exciting! I wish I could get married again (same bloke!), it's just so much fun and the day goes so fast! Cam and I are about to celebrate our 7th anniversary! Hope we're all invited!
Mez - All I can say is OMG! 9 TEETH! Bridie doesn't even have one!
Sasha, Alison, Libby and Sarah - I realy hope you girls start to feel better very soon, such awful and serious health problems, I hope you're all coping and I'm glad you're getting some help!
Kiralee - Really hope the marriage counselling goes well, it's a positive step! Bridie is still in some 000 but has ejust moved into 00, I'm not sure how much she weighs, we're going next week.
Well, Bridie was an absolute nightmare last night, awake every hour screaming. I thought maybe it was teeth, so gave her panadol and the teething relief stuff, she finally slept, but has woken up at 7am this morning with a snotty nose! Her first cold I think! She's finally decided she can sit up on her own, still pretty wobbly!
This full tinme work stuff is EXHAUSTING, I'm buggered, but soldiering on...I have to get used to it. I think I would have made DH get up this morning but he got in at 2:30am after a bucks night and has been muttering weirdo things in his sleep ever since...drunk as a skunk. My FIL was very lovely and went to pick him up at o2am (as Bridie was screaming!). He's staying with us as MIL is in hospital (having some sort of girlie operation!), we'll head over to see her today. Hoping to get to the Flemington Market too - fun!
Had the girls over last night, just for a drink and catch up, it was ACE! We need to make an effort to do it more often!
Anyway, hope everyone has a great Sunday!

Hi all  (if anyone remembers me, lol :o )
Been a while... Charlotte is now 7 months old, not yet crawling but shouldn't be far off. Rolley Polls around the house. No teeth yet, still experimenting with farax but not really eating as such. Other then that, she is doing well :)
Hi girls
Well wont be on for long as it is the weekend and so special family time! but thought I would make a quick trip on here so I dont get too lost behind everything AGAIN!!!!
Thanks Sarah, great to see you on here. Hope that everything gets sorted out for you soon too....sounds nasty you poor thing. Glad that my boy is not the only one still waking either, he is normally only up once though but for the past two weeks it has been about 5 times a night, think he is teething again...but now my nipples are red raw...ouch sorry tmi...bloody boobs, seeming to be all my problems at the moment hehehe Anyways hope you get some sleep soon, sounds like you need it.
Mel I am sure you would be absolutely buggered...feeling you this end for sure... thanks for the well wishes, no need to worry til I have something to worry about right?! I am more worried about the bloody needle at the moment than anything else....hate hate hate needles Hope your hubby doesnt have too much of a bad hang over today too.
Kiralee that is awesome news that he is stepping up and taking charge of it himself. lets hope that he makes an appointment soon and things start to heal. Hugs
Oopsie good to see you back on here too. Hope that Charlotte continues to be a little angel for you and that we see you round here a little more often.
Anyways had a pretty lazy weekend which has been so nice. Took Chrace for his 6 month photo at pixifoto...I know a little bit late but better late than never, and he was so good!!! Clever little man I have. Then we did a spot of shopping and I bought myself some gorgeous shoes and some nail polish...which really is spoiling myself as I never really spend money I am always save save save. But recently decided that i had better start taking care of myself and start spending some time on me, so I have waxed my legs and underarms and bikini line and cut, filed and painted my nails and I am absolutely amazed at how much better I feel about myself so tonight I am going to pluck my eyebrows and give myself a facial and hoping James and i will do a satin feet together, that would make it a pretty ultimate weekend, but lets just see how we go.
Anyways apart from that Chrace is going along like a trooper, started properly crawling on tuesday, you know one arm then one knee then the other etc, and is eating 3 huge meals a day and would probably eat more should i give it to him, plus lots of boobies so he certainly isnt lacking. Oh gave Landon and James haircuts yesterday and I had to laugh because Landon was all sweaty, hot and sticky day yesterday, so by the time i had finished he looked like a middle aged hairy man with a caveman back!....so cute, lucky it washed off though...hehehe needless to say they both look seriously spunky my boys.
ok well must away, washing to do and my eyebrows are a calling. Hope that the rest of you are having a great weekend. Hugs

Hi Lovelies!
I am home alone, DH on nights, kids asleep (won't be now I wrote it!) and baked bean toastie and laptop in hand, all good! LOL. I'm pretty easy pleased.
Little Miss still up about 5 times everynight, I really think its totally just a habit, she just wants her boobies (@) (@) ha ha ha! No one to blame but myself, I keep feeding her to keep the peace, night time screaming doesn't appeal to me...... But Geez I'm Tired, a little hysterical at times. She eats 3 meals a day, if I don't forget to give her lunch! I made some vegemite/bread rusks and she loves them. Sitting up by herself, rolling from back to tummy but not back which can be really annoying in her cot cause she wails for me to come help. Still no hair, baldy baby and she is really tall, 75cms!
The mums group I run has a psychologist coming on Tuesday 3rd March to speak about great relationship with kids where they can talk about everything with you and how to protect them from potential abuse, I can't wait! So if anyone you know is in the Maitland area and would like to come, just PM me.
oh and I am going on a date with my DH!! Its been 5 months and I am so excited! We are a little broke so nothing fancy but it will be so nice to have him to myself out of the house :smiliedance:
Hi OD! Of course we remember you! Glad it is all going well.
Sasha, You'll be fine with the biopsy, the reason mine hurt so much was that he kept jabbing it in and out to find the spot, if yours is with an ultrasound all good! I wanted to ask the guy if he had ever done it before, he jabbed like 20 times! Please let us know how you go x
Ah Mel you poor darlin, I don;t know how you do it!! I'm trashed at the end of my day. I can only imagine how buggered you would be x I had some girls over last night too, it was lovely, just sat around and chatted for four hours, bliss! :goodvibes:
Kiralee, glad Luke is sorting it out.... I had something else to tell you but It has dissapeared now..... nup.... no idea, It'l come to me @ 3am I am sure!
Sarah, sorry hear Felix is a little nightt owl too, although I must admit I took great comfort in knowing I'm not the only one! Sorry to enjoy your misery so to speak lol! I ahve no experience with gall stones, hope it gets sorted ASAP x
ALison, that's great you have had no pan from your ovaries they can really hurt! Finger crossed teh rest gets better. So much health stuff happening at the mo, hugs to all who need them (((((hugs))))))!
Max has 9 teeth!! WOW!!
Well, off to facebook for a bit then a cup of tea for me (man I sound 90 years old!)

I'm another one that has been lurking but not posting. I started up with the council fulltime and I'm still trying to sort out some sort of routine for us all. It's a juggling act trying to work fulltime, be a mum, a wife and run a house :o but it's amazing what us woman can do.
Thomas is going well, he will be 9 months old in a couple of days. He is loving day care and gives me a huge hug when i pick him up...i love it :cloud9: He is cutting his 6th tooth and started crawling yesterday :smiliedance:
Beth, I hope little miss starts sleeping better for you.
Sasha, best of luck with the biopsy, thinking of you hun :hugs:
Kiralee, i really hope the marriage counsilling works well you guys.
Sarah, I hope you can get some relief from you gall stones soon.
Hi to everyone else, hope you are all well and babies are going well. Time to go to bed, soooo tired.

Hey there ladies, just wanted to share with you the picture i got taken of the boys a few months ago.
*CLICK (http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=2170300&l=f49f2&id=648884907)* here to see it.
They are so cute. I love them so very much.
Morning all,
I am sorry I have not been on for so long, no excuse really but hopefully I will manage to catch up on everything whilst Maddison plays happily.
Our little princess is has been crawling now for just over a week, she stood up on her own for 5 seconds yesterday I can't believe it won't be long before she is standing on her own. She has been walking (if you hold her hands) for way over 2 months now so she is going to want to walk unaided as soon as she can. She is really independent and likes to try everything and if she can do it on her own, then she doesn't want help. Where are our little babies going???
My mother in law arrives on Saturday evening so my dh is going to meet her at Sydney airport. They will drive back down here on the Sunday morning. We decided not to take Maddison all the way up there, partly because she won't sit easily for 3 hours in the car and the cost of flying for both of us to go seemed silly.
I may not get online much during her stay, would feel a little rude if I sat here typing away whilst she is here. Then again, she probably won't care if it means she can play with M. I told me dh to explain that she is not a cuddly baby and that she just wants to play and explore. Well she is cuddly but mainly with me and only for short periods of time, just too active. I don't want her to be offended when she just squirms out of her arms constantly.
Has anyone heard from Sheree lately?
Alison sorry to hear you are not well, you must be in pain. Do you have to have surgery and if so, how long do you have to wait? Let us know how you are going though.
Kangaskippy 9 teeth? Gosh they are coming through quickly. How has he been coping with them coming through?
Sarah hope you don't have to wait too long for surgery, I can't imagine the pain you are going through with them. If you want help with uploading pics, message me and I can hopefully help you out. Sounds like you aren't getting much sleep either. :hugs:
Kiralee sorry to hear that Luke has to pay for the counseling but at least he is willing to do that, you will get the much needed answers.
Mel sorry to hear you didn't get much sleep last night either, maybe Bridie has some teeth coming as well as a cold? Maddison has a bad cold at the moment and her sleep gets pretty broken when she has. She also has a heart murmur/small hole so it is always a little worrying to see how she will cope with it. Obviously it isn't bothering her too much, she is still crawling around the house and as active as ever. Congratulations Bridie on sitting up unaided, she will get stronger and be straight in no time.
Glad you had a nice time last night, and sorry to hear work is so tiring.
OD yes we remember you, nice to see you. Glad Charlotte is doing well, she will be crawling in no time!!
Sasha I am so sorry to hear about your health issues at the moment, that must be quite scary for you and your family. Hope the biopsy isn't too painful but if you are having an u/s hopefully you will avoid needles. Glad you treated yourself, you need to!
Beth hope your two slept well for you and you got some time to yourself. Congratulations on the sitting though! :yelclap: Hope you had a nice date!! Sounds like you aren't getting much sleep either, I am the same though with feeding Maddison during the night and yes I think it becomes a habit.
I do think that Maddison is genuinely hungry at night time though because when she wakes up around 4ish she really does gulp the milk down. I tried formula the other day but she hates it, really won't drink it. Last night I tried rice milk and she drank 40 mls so maybe that will help fill her up a little more. She loves her solids but doesn't want anything pureed or mashed and isn't really old enough to be chewing large bits of meat etc. That is what she wants though, so I keep giving her small bits of meat and what we are eating and she is trying bless her, it just means she probably isn't getting as much food as she would if it was pureed. Sorry that sounds really confusing
mummy to thomas hope work is going well for you, I struggle to get into a routine that works for M with regard to feeding so goodness knows how you do it with work as well. Can't believe Thomas is 9 months old, goodness me it has gone quickly. Congratulations on the crawling. :yelclap:
scp love the photo, thanks for sharing, they look so cute and happy. I really should post a coupe of M.
Well I had better get on with some housework, being as Maddison i s almost asleep. I still have to feed her to sleep which is tiring but she wouldn't take the dummy (which I am kind of happy about) but it would be nice if she could self settle. I can't do controlled crying so will just have to hope she grows out of it. I'm sure I will get lectures from my mil, either that or she won't say anything and will then go back and tell my sil how I still feed her to sleep, then I will get lectures from her. The know it all!!!
Got to go, speak later, sorry if I missed anyone.

Well finally were have counselling on friday :smiliedance: im really excited about it.... i just wish it was friday already.
we went to the central coast on saturday did some shopping found a cute lady bug for ayshies birthday she can ride it... its super cute. did cost me $120 but i couldnt go past it haha it will last her for ages though it's supposed to be for 3 years + but its really small so she should be able to use it before then.
yesterday i brought a brand new pram because i don't like the one i was using. the pram i brought was a steelcraft cruiser it's so cool and it is so much easier then the one i had... so i'm going to sell the old one on ebay hopefully someone will want it.
i have just finished organising some of aysha's clothes the 000 that dont fit anymore i have some aside that i will have to try on her to see if they still fit or not. And have put some in another bag for luke's sister who is pregnant but i just put whites and yellow's etc in their as she doesn't know what she is having yet.
it's so warm here today... i wanted to go for a walk just to use the pram lol but it's so hot wont be a good idea until later this afternoon

Hi:wave: everyone

So how is everyones bubba's mine is teething ATM she has 1 and the second one almost through. My DS seems to think he has ownership over his sister:laughing: and is constantly saying "no mummy my bubba" its so cute.
With my DD i have tried to slow everything down but it seems as though she is learning way to fast, I guess she just wants to catch up with DS, not good for me lol I keep losing my little girl, she's always hiding under something.
Anyway I am on everyday so i will pop back in and say hi.

 Simone and Starfantasia...... Although it seemed everyone has jumped ship from here lately lol, or else they are all flat out,
Hi those who read but don't post!
Welcome Starfantasia & Simoney! You'll enjoy it here, everyone is so friendly and willing to help! Share whatever you like!
I've had another major week...I'm getting used to it though! We've all been a bit snotty this week and there is still no sign of any teeth in Bridie's mouth...she's still showing all the signs though, I'm sure they can't be far away!
The kids in my class are driving me MENTAL! They're so needy and just ignore everything I say, they are seriously the worst kids I've ever had, they're all very nice individually but as a group they're a NIGHTMARE! I've never felt so useless as a teacher before! I just feel like I'm yelling all the time, they don't know how to pack up and they just talk ALL THE TIME! Sorry for the whinge! I'll live!
We've got a quiet weekend coming up which is nice, DH is working tmoz and Bridie and I are meeting our friends for mum's group in the morning, then NOTHING! YAY!
I hope you all have a great weekend! I also hope everyone is well and their bubs are thriving!

Badgersmum - Are you talking to me?? Yes i have been lurking and reading but not posting much lately!!!
Hi to StarFantasia and SimoneyB how are you both? What's new with your little bubba's?
Mel - You are doing great working full time and looking after a family, i am not working and sometimes struggle to arrange dinner!! It's the start of a new year and all exciting things for the little kids, hopefully they will settle down for you soon.
I have felt a bit flat this week, and have not been getting out and going for our daily walks, which i really need to get back into, but have to see a specialist for my knee which i cant get into until 23 march... oh well.
Us, well Jessica still only has her 2 bottom teeth, crawling everywhere (like a little caterpilla) she just can't keep still. She is always using me as a climbing post so she can pull herself up, and everytime i go in her room after her day sleeps she is sitting up... yes clever little girl now sits up all by herself. She is going so fast lately i just hope she holds off on the walking, dont think i will be able to keep track of her when she is able to walk!
We go to swimming on Tuesdays, Music on Thursdays and Fridays is Songs & Rhymes in the mornings then Mothers Group Catch ups Friday afternoon, so we have been busy today. She loves getting out and about. DF is working all weekend at the Melbourne Motor Show, so no Daddy Daughter Day this Sunday, but i am having lunch with some old work friends which should be good.
Hope everyone else has had a good week and have a great weekend.

Welcome Simoney
Welcome StarFantasia  i also see that your going to be a sarrgot [mind my spelling been a long day] that's really beautiful i'm sure the lady your doing it for is so greatful.
Mel - enjoy your quiet weekend... i'll be having one too luke is working all weekend. And dont worry bout miss b aysha doesn't look like she is getting any teeth either. They can be gummy lil buddies together
Today was our counselling session it was so good and we both felt prtty good after it... we got along so well for the rest of the night we haven't been like that in a long time it was refreshing. We have homwork to do which is a game it's called the ouch game if either of us says something that hurts the other the person who was hurt has to say ouch and the other then has to stop what they were saying or doing walk away and think about what they did to hurt the other. were not allowed to ask why did you say that etc... i think it will be hard on luke as he will want to know why... i'm looking forward to the next one.... finally our lives will be getting back on track and go back to being happy again :smiliedance:
Hope everyone enjoy's their weekend
 Simone and Starfantasia...... Although it seemed everyone has jumped ship from here lately lol, or else they are all flat out,
Hi those who read but don't post!
Guilty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
Oh my goodness life is crazy !!!!!
Okay here is my week so you can forgive me for only lurking :p
Monday DD2 - Kinder
Tues DD1 - kinder
Weds DD1 & DD2 - swimming
Thurs DD1 - kinder
Friday DD1 - kinder am DD2 - kinder pm
All this as well as looking after DD3 7 1/2 mths
not sure what happened there !!! Anyway just want you all to know that I do think about you all and hope all is going well in your worlds.
Life is actually really good here at the moment no complaints from me, apart from not having a minute to myself but I guess that's part of being a mumma!!!
All 3 dollies are great the older 2 are getting along so much better since they don't spend as much time together now with kinder and Miss Lily is growing beautifully and has 2 teeth now and is still sleeping really well 2 during the day and 12 hours at night so she is a great little baby.
Okay girls will hope to get back in soon love to all :flowerz: xxx
Hi hi all of you beautiful women
Well well I must admit to reading throughout the week but only getting enough time to post now, i am a bit like Lissa except it is Tahli at Prep and then home with the two boys so busy busy.
Went into hospital yesterday and had my second ultrasound and biopsies so that is all done now...will just have to wait for the next step with all of that. Was not overly painful and i seem to have missed a lot of the bruising that he said may come my way BUT bit annoyed because I had to have 4 biopsies and have two quite large holes in my right breast....sorry tmi...and I am leaking milk constantly from them.....grrr so my bra and any shirts I wear are just getting soaked....looks funny though, but a bit of a pain now. Not exactly nice to feed off of that side at the moment either.
Um not much else to tell really, Chrace is amazing me as he is crawling properly but now wants to start crawling up and over stuff, like the floor cushions, the coffee table etc....crazy. Landon is finally starting to talk more, have his 2nd birthday coming up in April!!! cant believe it where has 2 years gone??? So I am starting to plan a Thomas party for him as he has really gotten into Thomas, even considering buying him a Metal Thomas Train pedal car.....just thinking hmmm money money....but that is exciting, also better start thinking what i am going to make in the way of choccies for easter this year, I am big on making an array of different choccies and doing an easter hunt aswell as baskets for close friends and family.
The saga is still continuing with my BIL and his wife who just up and left him taking their little girl to Tassie, but we are so over that now, just lies from each party and one minute everything is ok and they are friends and the next he hates her etc....too much drama when we all have our own dramas and things going on...just makes us realise that people do split and it is not always people who have been together for 20 r 30 years.
Anyways
Kirralee that is awesome news about the counselling, hope that it just makes things better and better and that you go from strength to strength.
Lisa glad to hear that all is well with you, I hear you on not having a moment to yourself but yeah I am assuming it is all a part of being a mummy....well at least that is what I am sticking to. Great to hear miss lily is sleeping so well in the night, my little man still likes one boobie, but I can handle one.
Tracey sounds like you and Jessica keep busy and nice to know she is an active one. Chrace loves to get about too, and I am loving it now he is more mobile, he enjoys his brother and sister more and can get himself into action wherever that is. Hope you have a great weekend.
Welcome Starfantasia and Simoney, hope you guys will like it here, the girls are all wonderful and are the best support and comfort in good time and bad. It has been quiet lately but it is always the way when you have kiddies and then some have more than one, up to a couple of us having 3 and 4! Gluttons for punishment I reckon! hehehe
Mel you sound like you have had a rough week, hope that the kiddies settle down for you. I cant imagine having to keep that many kids in line all at the same time.....you must almost want to pull your hair out some days. But chin up, you are boss and dont let em forget it hehehe Have a lovely weekend with your darling girl and know you are doing a great job at everything you are juggling
Hey Beth how you doing honey? Havent chatted with you in a while. How is miss mill doin? Hope you are well and that all is going fantastically in your world and family at the moment.
jenna thanks for thinking of me, I will be right just going through the motions at the moment, one step at a time not thinking too far ahead and just dealing with things as they come up. Hope that your family is great.
Anyways I had better go, not feeling so good all of a sudden but the doc warned me of that too...plus I have three kiddies who are all not so happy and a hubby who has just come inside and wants a piece of me now too....ahhhhh just want some me time!!!
ok love to all

Hey Ladies
Yes I am guilty, check in everday but no time to post and nothing much happening to post about.
Hi to Starfantasia and Simoney, you will love it here.
Sasha, my thoughts are with you, at least the tests are done and now you just need to sit tight and wait for the results.
Kiralee, congrat with the therapy sessions, I hope it achieves everything you want it to. Your princess needs both parents and they need to be able to trust eachother, this is a fantastic thing you and Luke are doing.
Lissa, I am so glad to hear your girls are enjoying kindy and that they are getting along much better, makes for a happy family.
Melmc, I take my hat off to you, I do not think I could be a teacher, but thank you for doing the job, our kids need great people like you as role models in schools, and great teachers like you, I hope they settle down as the term goes by.
We have been busy with general family stuff and life. Zoe has cut her first tooth finally and looks very cute. She seems to get a really angry bottom around this time so need to be extra vigilant check nappies as her do not smell until you take them off, then it hits you, sorry TMI. She has also leart to catepillar crawl, which works well for her atm, gets here around nicely. I think she is now frustrated with crawling and really wants to walk. She has been trying to pull herself up on the side of her cot, she looked so pleased with herself, she just needs to realise she has to use her legs to get her off her stomach.
The boys are good, Jack love kindy and I think would go everyday if he could, he is already asking about going to school. I have explained that after santa comes then he goes to school.
Harry is great, just need to work out how to get him to do number 2 on the potty or toilet, any ideas?
I have lost 13.6kg so far, have good days and bad, but I figure a lose is a lose and the slower I lose it the more likely it is to stay off.
Well that is enough from me.
Mel, I don't know how you do the full time work and being a mum, wife, and the rest. All of you studing, working and or being a sahm, we must remember we do a great job, sometimes I forget to remind myself this. Three cheers for all us mummies. Yah, Yah, Yah.
Gosh I am in a good mood today, sleep really does help.
Love ya.

 everyone thank you for making me feel so welcome. My DD is crawling around everywhere and has even learnt a new trick lol she stands up. My DS took sooooo much longer and cos my DD is so little still (she was prem) she looks like a doll.
She has 1 tooth and the second on the way and being the little diva she is she lets everyone know! I have not been on in a few days as my friend finally had her baby lol she was 10 days over.
I have not quite worked out how to do the quote thing so its on my post but i will say a general Hi and thank you to everyone for welcoming me.

StarF, I have been on here for a couple of years and I still do not know how to insert a quote yet either. Let me know if you find out.
I can not believe Zoe is 8months on the third of March and my other baby Harry is turning 3, oh how quickly it all goes.
One of the girls at the boys daycare has advertised babysitting, as the boys know her, Dh and I have decided to use this angel sent to us to have a nice meal out. We are going to take is slowly,(with the sitter) so Zoe gets used to her and will eventually catch a movie and a meal, how exciting. Unfortuanatly this will all stop when we move, but will enjoy it until then.
Hope you all have had a great weekend and chat soon.
Oh I didn't mean to be mean lol, I lurk and don't post too lol, sorry!! Call it sleep deprivation, Eme temp of 39 for 4 days, no sleep. Bl00dy tired. Back when the world rights itself. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hidey ho chickies!
Im still alive, I haven't been around much, been taking a bit of a breather over the last few months, I thought I would pop in and say hi to you all
We're going really well, Deacon is over 8 months old now, getting the guest list and stuff organised for his 1st birthday, we're having it the 20th June, his birthday is the 21st and falls on a Sunday, so the Saturday was better for me to recover from the exhaustion on the Sunday LOL. So far the list is 37 people! Much better than the 60 odd from Wyatt's 1st birthday LOL.
The last two weekends have been full on, I went out with a group of girlfriends the weekend before last one, crawled in at 3am only to have the kids wake at 530 and DH was called into work, just make it through that day LOL.
Last weekend DH and I had a weekend alone and it was so lovely and absolute bliss. We ate, drank, walked into Surfers, had some more food and drinks and just had fun together, something that we both needed. We'll be married 5 years next month, time flys... together for 7 this september.
We then had a lovely BBQ with friends last night, last minute thing but was awesome. The kids had fun and played together so nicely.
Wyatt is going great, I cannot believe how fast this little guy is growing up and the thing that come out of his mouth are hilarious!! He has me in stitches LOL Now that we have caught up on all the bills after my surgeries, Wyatt starts the 3rd day at Pre-school again at the end of the month. He's looking forward to it, he always asks to go. Mum is boring!
My health issues are going smoothly again, no more bleeding or issues, Hysterectomy is OFF the cards YIPPEEEEE!!!
My stomach ulcer is still bad at time, might have to get that looked into again soon...
Hi to all the new gals, welcome to our little group.
Im on facebook more these days, I have most of you on there, but drop me a PM if I haven't got you on there!

Mwahaha Bep that's a crack up! :goodvibes: Best wishes for the party, Ash's 4th pirate was a blast but boy was I trashed! Hard work.
Darling Eme is finally on the tail end of her virus, seems to be going out with a bang too so to speak with a hideous rash all over her, poor chicken. Just was in there giving her a cuddle as she woke crying and she was stroking my hair with her chubby little hand. Ahhhh :cloud9:
Mmmmm chicken chips and wine.... Where do you live Lissa? I'm gonna join you one day  I've often thought how fun it would be to get together, tell you what, if I win the lottery I'll shout you all a ticket. (*note to self, gotta be in it to win it lol)
Juzzzy, hope you have a ball out with your DH, Dan and I did it last week and it was HEAVEN! :valentine: We are heading for our 10th anniversary this year! I can't believe it! got together when I was sixteen so that makes it ummmm..... oh gosh 13 years together wow! Marriages are worth while investing in for sure.

Hello Hello, hope you are all well...
Need some help/advice, i have been breast feeding for 8 months with the last feed at around 10-10.30pm being a formula feed for the last 2 months.
I have noticed that my right boob has almost totally dried up, but my left is constantly full. I have always been able to get double the amount out of my left and always fed her from it first, it made no difference to increase the supply from that boob and now she sucks and there is nothing so she gets ****ty.
I have no issues with moving to formula and no boobie feeds (she is also on solids) but how do i do it.
Do i decrease the feeds gradually (if so which feed to drop next) or do i try to stop cold turkey and massage/hand express in shower? Really not sure how to go about it.
Please help.
Oh Sarahsboys, hope you are not pregnant just yet! i had a dream the other night that i was pregant and woke up all stressed thinking i dont think i could handle 2 under 2!! (bad thing is that i had a dream when i was pregnant that i was having a girl b4 we had found out hope my dream is not true this time!)
Bep glad that you are feeling much better
Beth that is great news about your friend getting her African baby
Kirralee good work on the councelling - how is your ouch game going?
Thanks ladies
Hi girlies
Well it is another week hey! Geez the weekends go by so fast!!!
Anyways just trying to hibernate at home today, going to get all the ironing up to date, not much but if I dont do it almost daily it just takes a whole day to do, and just tidy in general...yesterday was grocery shop day and I was exhausted at the end as I carry Chrace in a sling and he is easy 10kg and then push Landon in the trolley by the end of the shop the trolley is over flowing and I have two bags hung over each arm aswell....I am a bit of a sight when I shop...hehehe
Also working on an artwork my girlfriend is paying me to do of her son...I did two for Tahliah and she just loved them so wants the same for her kiddies so first thing is first do the one of her son...will have to post some pics of the ones of Tahli I love them, did the first one of her when she was almost 1 and then one when she was 4 and I thought that I would do it every four years now for each, so I owe Landon one already and soon to owe Chrace one so gotta pull my fingers out!!
Oh also been reminded of Parties from the girls on here, it is Landons second birthday next month!!! Oh my gosh. Anyways decided that I am going to do a Thomas party, so have made Thomas invites with googlie eyes stuck on and have bought him a metal pedal car train exactly like Thomas for his pressie!!! Scored it on ebay, brand new, but got it for half the retail price....gotta love that so that is being couriered here tomorrow, and thought I would make a train cake and make some decorations like railway crossing etc....so excited!!! Lets hope I dont run out of time.
Anyways that is my little brag and all about me session....oh and I dont have my tests back yet, hoping soon, may have to go back into the hospital again though as I found a large painful lump just under my armpit this morning, thinking it may have something to do with the biopsy but definitely not fun in the meantime.
Sarah you sound busy, I envy you with going to the gym though....I mean I have a bloody personal trainer at my disposal but finding the time is just insane, we have taken to him training me after school but that means that Landon is around us trying to do exactly as we are doing and Tahliah too and Chrace is in the swing and normally unhappy half way through....ahhhhh just not worth it some days! Good on you though. Glad to hear you back on here. And hear you on the extended family being the painful ones....having similar difficulties with my stepdad....grrr dont they just make you wanna....!!!
Beth yeah was a bit freaky with the milk but whatcha gonna do...just part of it. but I can say now that it is not leaking anymore thankfully. Thanks for thinking of me though honey. Glad that Eme is doing better poor lil darling. And congrats to your girlfriend and her newest addition...how awesome that will be for her. When does she get to pick him up? That is news worth praising too on your marriage....nice to hear that marriage these days does work and people do still believe in it...sometimes me and James feel like we are the only ones! Been together 8 years now and I cant believe it...but we have got nothing on you guys....well done that is awesome to hear!
Bep glad to hear that you are on the road to recovery and how good are you at planning Deacons birthday party already! Sounds lovely your time with your man....I must admit that James and i need to take a little more time out like that, but with the problems with my stepdad at the moment I would not have my mum and him take care of the kids and so our only other support with child minding is James' mum who is awesome but cant do it all the time so we aim for every 3 or 4 months....that is out on our own, the rest of the time we just try and make sure we make time for each other after the kiddies are in bed just at home....can be just as nice sometimes. Great that you are taking time out for each other though, seems to be way down on the priority list for some people. Hugs
Lisa your night sounded wonderful I hope that it was.
Juzzy good on you with your weight loss that is awesome and how cute about your little man asking when he is going to school! What a cutie. I agree with you on how amazing a job Mel is doing as a teacher and mother etc....definitely someone who inspires! Hope you are well and having a great week. Sounds wonderful on the sitter too, you will love a night out with your man....where are you moving to? Only if you dont mind me asking.
Starfantasia your little one sounds so cute. Sounds like she keeps everyones attention, which only little girls can....my missy can be like that too. Great that you are feeling like part of the group.
Jenna hope that you are enjoying your time with your MIL.
And hello to all I have missed.
I had better go, my brain is feeling a bit like mush today better go and make a cuppa i reckon.
love to all
sorry missed your post Tracey... I dont really know heaps about how to go to formula but when I did it with Landon I just did it gradually, every third or so feed and then more and more from there....but I didnt really think about it just did it and knew if I had milk at that feed or not....dont know if that will be much help to you though.
also I am always more fuller on my right hand side, always felt more comfortable on my right and tend to feed more of the feeds on that side, knowing that I am naughty but sometimes I am just a bit lazy....although I still have milk on my left so....but just wanted you to know that you are not alone there.
Oh yeah Kirralee knew I was forgetting someone, that game sounds like it would be really helpful, how are you going? Great to hear that the session went well, hoping that things just get better and better for you.
hugs
Hi girls...I'm home for the day due to excruciating sciatica...I could barely walk this morning but I'm feeling a bit better now. I'm off to the chiro this arvo and he'll give me a nice massage too, I just couldn't make it to school this morning!
Tracey, when I was weaning Bridie onto formula, I started by going half and half with expressed breast milk, when she was happy with the formula I dropped the second feed of the day and replaced it with formula. I didn't express or anything, it hurts for a couple of days but then it's ok, then I waited about 2-3 weeks before I dropped the next feed, the 3rd feed. Now she has a breastfeed in the morning and at night. I'll drop those in a couple of months. I did all this so I could go back to work without having to express during the day and it's seems to have worked. The first few days are fairly painful but you can get through it! You've given birth!
WOW! Some of you girls are busy...I really want to get my act into gear for swimming but I haven't yet. I'll get DH to do it as he's home with Bridie most days!
Kiralee, :fingerscrossed: for you and Luke, I really hope this counselling works for you both. How is the 'ouch' game going?
Sasha, my heart goes out to you, lumps are so scary (not that I've ever had any myself, family has), good luck with the Thomas party! You're so energetic! I love eBay too! I've got to head out to the mailbox shortly to see if the next package has arrived!
Beth, how is Eme? Hope she's feeling better. So happy for your friend and her new little family. We know some people who adopted 2 littlies, a brother and sister, from Ethiopia and they are the most gorgeous kids! OMG! I hate that dancing show...SO BORING!
Juzzy, Bridie is commando crawling too, it's hilarious, she seems to use her right leg to just push herself along! So funny, well until she pulled the caps lock key off my laptop this morning!!!
Sarah, hope the gall bladder stuff works out well, and that your inlaws and parents can butt out! Sometimes they're more trouble than they're worth! Ours live 3 hours away which has it's pros and cons!
Lissa, a get together would be awesome...I really feel like you girls are my good friends and sometimes it seems unnatural that I've never actually met you all in real life...although I have been lucky enough to meet Tracey, Alison and Ellie (anyone heard from her lately?).
Beth, glad you're feeling healthier, hope the ulcers get better soon! Glad to hear you had such a great time over the weekend! It's our anniversary on Monday, we've been married 7 years! We'll go out for lunch since it's a public holiday, but Bridie will come with us!
Wow! I think I've got everyone...sorry to anyone I missed. I'm definitely guilty of being a lurker too, especially if I'm at school in the re-think room (I'm sure I've mentioned it before!).
We've got a quiet week and weekend coming up which is nice and a long weekend, then all hell will break loose...parent teacher interviews next Tuesday and Wednesday, I'm going til 6:30pm on Wednesday night! Then MCHN on Thurs, then into the city on Saturday for a friend's birthday (we're doing a tour of all the best chocolate places in the city, not so good for my waistline!) and then I'm holding a baby shower for another friend on the Sunday!!! I really should rest up!
Anyhow, I'm sure I'll be lurking around! xxx for you all!

game is going good i have only had to use it a few times and luke has once and i know why he was trying to talk and kiss me while i was trying to have a sleep in and i was like can't you just go away and we'll talk about it later.... i really needed some sleep lol but we haven't really had a fight other then this morning when luke was minding aysha and all she was doing was crying i came out shes in her high chair he is on the lounge on his laptop not taking notice of her... so frustrating
Oh yeah Kirralee knew I was forgetting someone, that game sounds like it would be really helpful, how are you going? Great to hear that the session went well, hoping that things just get better and better for you.

Hi everyone :)
DH is out at a call out tonight and both of my babies are in bed so I have time for a quick post. Sorry I have also been lurking but not posting much...I haven't been online anywhere near as much lately either.
Lissa/MelMc/Tracey - Another meet
up would be great. Who wants to organise this time? I haven't heard from Ellie for ages. I hope she is OK.
Tracey - Good luck with the formula feeds. Mel has given some good advice. Henry hardly drinks from my right side anymore either but I'm not that worried about it now. I still get some milk out of it for some EBM but not much at all. I'm so lopsided it's not funny
Badgersmum - What lovely news for your friend. She must be over the moon.
Kirralee - Sounds like the counselling is going well. That's good to hear.
Sarahsboys - Great to hear your counselling is also going well. I hope your appointment goes well with the specialist and you can get your GB taken out ASAP.
Sasha - Ouch about the lump under your arm!:( Sounds like you are coping really well with all these tests and of course the dreaded waiting.
Bep - I'm so pleased to hear everything has settled down for you.
Us - Henry is doing well, crawling all over the place, still injuring himself all the time but getting better and better at standing. I think he is finally figuring out how to sit back down again. He actually stood all on his own for a few seconds tonight, letting go of everything, but I'm sure it was only a fluke as he isn't really cruising yet on the furniture. My Lizzie is also good although she certainly has her days when she seems to be constantly in trouble. Since Henry is now getting into everything so much there have been a few pushing incidents  but hopefully we have nipped those in the bud. Otherwise, we are all well. My weightloss is going slowly but surely and I have lost 6kg so far :smiliedance: I would still like to lose about 5kg more but I'm taking it one step at a time.
Anyway, this has turned into an essay. Bye, Al.

Thanks for my warm welcome everyone. There are so many of you tho, please forgive me if it takes a while for me to catch up! I'll no doubt be mentioning things already covered, so feel free to "grrrrrrrrrr" at me privately. :)
I have a question. Something that is bothering me so tremendously much in recent times. Does anyone know anything about 'Developmental Co-ordination Disorder (DCD)' as it would apply to a 7-month-old bub such as my Meg? We had to see a physio in the early days and in the latest visit she decided to start talking about this DCD, and about how it's going to effect Meg when she starts school... It's got me perplexed. I mean I know she's not exactly out in front as far as all the crawling and sitting, etc goes, but I certainly don't think she's 'delayed'! Help!
What kinda milestones have everyone's bubs met?
ElizaDoLittle
04-03-2009, 19:10
Hi SB, Eme has only been sitting unaided for about 3 weeks, (by that I mean she hardly ever tips over) and she is one week off 8 months. Why do they think Meg is delayed? Babies do everything at thier own pace, that must have worried you to hear that! What are they basing that diagnosis on? :hugs:
MEl, hearing you with back pain, in fact I had planned to post more but I am in agony....
Catch u all later
xx
SimoneyB
05-03-2009, 09:26
Physio believes the delay is evident due to 'low muscle tone' (which she said she thinks I have also!!! Grrrr!!!) and the fact that she's not got 'quick enough' reactions (ie. when she's starting to tip over) and apparently she doesn't have certain reflexes (such as the 'parachute reflex', which APPARENTLY she won't crawl without... Despite the fact that I know other children who NEVER exhibited such a reflex and were fine!), and she can't sit up unsupported, and isn't exhibiting signs of crawling... It's just really upsetting, you know? In my eyes (as well as anyone else who's ever been in contact with her) Meg is THE most perfect little girl. She's got this brilliant, cheeky little personality. She's rolling, she's starting to become VERY comfortable on her tummy, reaching for things, passing objects back and forth from each hand, she's good at problem-solving, very interactive and social, she WILL sit un-assisted if she doesn't realise she's doing it...
I know the professionals presumably know what they're talking about, but I'm seriously thinking I'm going to pull her out and give her a break until she's at least 1. Anyone have any thoughts or feelings on that???

05-03-2009, 10:22
SimoneyB - it all seems very strange to me, as someone else said all babies crawl, sit on their own etc at different ages. Have you thought about getting a second opinion? i would possible go to another physio to see what they say just for peice of mind. Not sure what "muscle tone" a baby should have, but by touch all babies seem to be squishy and cuddly!! But i guess physio's should know more about it than me. What are they suggesting they do to 'correct' it?
Jessica is now catapilla crawling, but a lady in my mothers group had her daughter crawling properly at 5 months. My Mum said i never crawled, just pulled myself along with my legs!
Thanks for the advice on my boobie problem, i have now dropped the lunchtime feed as well and it seems to be settling down a bit, am BF her if she wakes in the night, if not in the morning and at about 4-5pm. Nothing from the right so i get a bit lopsided!! but FF now at 12pm and 10pm.
I also hear you guys on the Back pain - but mine is neck. It has gone cold here in Melbourne for now and i think it makes my joints all stiffen up!! Would love a massage today.
Can anyone tell me wheather us SAHM get the $900 stimulas package?

Would you mind if I came too???
Hi Everyone
Wow this cold weather is depressing my already. So not ready for Winter yet!!
We are all good, Felix is just about crawling. Not sitting on his own yet, but none of mine have been great at the sitting thing, always came after they started crawling.
DH and DS1 are going away for the weekend, gives me a little bit of a break. Wish he was taking DS2 instead though as he is the high energy one atm, but I guess thats just 2 year olds!
Not much else to report, just the usual chaos (sp??)
Oh Sasha, would love to see some pics of your artwork, have been thinking of you heaps lately. Hope you get your test results back soon and they are all good news. Hugs xx
Just a question, has anyone that has more than one child had any family portraits done yet?? I'm not sure whether to get some done now or wait til our family is complete??
bye for now
Sarah xx

I another meet up would be great! Maybe in the city??? I'll start another thread for details.
I'm at school, kids are amused, but it's nearly time to pack up...what an ordeal!
I've got a busy weekend, going to visit a new baby and some friends on sat and sunday...and it's our 7th annivarsary on Monday, so we'll go out for lunch as DH is on night shift! FUN!
If there are anymore Melbourne mummies out there feel free to join us!

Sasha, I am thinking of you, hoping you have the result soon. At least you have heaps to keep you busy, b'days are always a good excuse.
Simoney, if you are worried get a second opinion, just remember like the other have said, ever child is different and develops at a different speed, don't ignore your mother's instinct, if you are not happy, you know what you need to do.
Sorry to everyone else I have forgotton, am distracted by the movie the Wedding Singer.
Zoe has in less than a week started sitting from the crawl position with no effort at all and is already trying to pull her self up on things, she almost was on her feet. How quickly I think she will do it all.
Harry has his 3rd birthday on the 28th of this month and we are thinking about taking the kids to Underwater World, should be fun. He wants a Thomas cake, which has changed from a Wiggles cake so I am trying to plan what I will do for him. I also want to do a cake for daycare, so my mind is very busy with decorating cakes.
Dh and i are having our first lunch out tomorrow, one of the girls at daycare has advertised babysitting and we are taking her up on this. We will just go for a short time 3hrs so the kids, mainly Zoe gets used to her. It is not cheap, $25 an hr so ontop of lunch not a cheap date but well worth it to have some time for us. We have not been out together since Zoe was born and have not had a night away in over 2yrs, hard with kids and no family support, but god looking forward to tomorrow.
Have a great weekend.
Juzzy...We were watching The Wedding Singer too, one of my favourites...when...
we had an earthquake!
OMG! Everything rattled for about 20 seconds, Bridie didn't even stir! Very weird! Apparently it was a 4.7 on the richter scale!!!
SCARY!

OMG for feeling the earth move. Must have been quiet scary.
All my kids have runny noses not happy.
Our lunch date went well, we just need to think of things to do, other than movies or eating. The kids loved having Angela here to play and Zoe was not too worried, she was my biggest concern. So we are planning to celebrate our 8th wedding ann at the end of April, first in 4yrs we will celebrate since having kids, looking forward to it.
Lisa have a great weekend, sounds very busy.

Well it is very quiet in here, the bigger the kids get, the less time we have and the less we chat in here, sad, but exciting.
Well Zoe has only been sitting up confidently and crawling, still like a catapillar, for about 2weeks and she is already pulling herself up on furniture. She has had a couple of spills and I think she had one in the cot this morning but boy she is doing it all very quickly compared with the boys.
The boys had a teddy bear picnic at daycare yesterday and I made cupcakes for Jack's room and Harry had to take some fruit. Well blow me away, Harry ate stewed apples and custard and they have a photo to prove it and they made pizza in his room and he ate the cheese, capsicum (WTF can't get dh to eat this), onion and pineapple. He is the most bland eater at home and we stress and struggle to get him to eat anything other then naughty food. We are going to try and get the boys more involved with cooking dinner and see if this make a difference, but I swear he would not eat this food should we present it to him.
Sorry for the rant.
Sasha, thinking of you, hope your results come in soon.
I had a call from my cousin last night who is 25wks pregnant and has already gone thru an amnio due to very high risk of DS. They have now found spots in the bowel and she and her df are flying into Brisbane to have more test. They are talking maybe Cystic Fibrosis, her and df are being tested and they are doing a whole heap of test on her. Please keep them in your prayers, they do not deserve this, not that anyone does. Very stressful for them. I need to remember when I am having a bad day with the kids, and get down we have no support and just sometimes wish they would all go away for a few hours, that I am very lucky to have 3 beautiful healthy kids and be very grateful for what we have been given.
Really sorry, was not going to post a big on and especially all about us.
Stay well and safe and hope you all are happy.
Wow, it is quiet in here, hope everyone is ok.
FINALLY...Bridie has a tooth, you can't see it but boy I can feel it! We're going to the nurse today to have her weighed and measured!
Sad news...my friend was 13 weeks pregnant and her skin fold test gave her 1 in 300 for down syndrome, she went to have an amnio (as she's 34 I think) and she's now lost her baby, I'm not sure if the amnio caused the miscarriage, she just had a miscarriage or if the test showed downs and she decided to end the pregnancy...very sad, whatever happened.
I'll be in and out, looking forward to a busy weekend, chocolate tour, my parents are visiting and I'm hosting a baby shower for another friend on sunday.

Wow, it is crazy quiet in here. Where is everyone?
Hope you are all o.k and I expect it to be quiet as usual over the weekend. Have a good one.
Hi ladies I'm lurking around but not posting much these days can't keep my eyes open long enough to sit here for any length of time!!!!!
Juzzy - Hope your cousin is doing okay and things ease up for her it's such a stressfull time for them I'm sure I had a really good girlfriend go through something very similar about 18mths ago it's so heartbreaking my thoughts and prayers are with you.
Mel- So sorry to also hear about your friend who lost her baby it's just so unfair sometimes who knows why these things happen just not right !!! Well done to Miss Bridielicious on the teeth, had a look at your new pics on facebook and she is soooo damn cute can't wait to meet her in person I'm sure Bridie and Miss Lily are going to love eachother!!!!
It certainly is quiet in here I'm on facebook more these days so feel free to PM me and I'll add any of you that I don't already have.
Take care girls, lots of :hugs: to you all

Here's a link to some gorgeous photos that were taken by some photographer friends...they're awesome!!! I think I might have to take a course!
My friend who lost her baby...more info. She was 15 weeks pregnant and chose to end the pregnancy as Edwards Syndrome was diagnosed. I'm not sure if anyone has heard of it but apparently the baby would only live 5-15 days if they were lucky enough to reach full term, with massive brain damage and organ abnormalities. She's been off work, so I haven't seen her, just sent messages of support. SO SO SAD!
Hope you all have a great weekend...I'm weighing in at weight watchers in the morning, then going to the city for a chocolate tour for a friend's birthday, then my parents are visiting, then my friend's baby shower on sunday! phew!
We bought ourselves a Wii for our anniversary, with a wiifit, I'm aching all over!

Mel soooo sad for your friend but I know of Edwards from all the research I did when we were going thru the cvs and amnio with Zoe and it was a very sad syndrome to have. There was something on Oprah a while back about a little boy who was born with edwards and lived for 99day and his parent recorded every dayand every month with a cake to celebrate, it was so heartbreaking to watch, I think it is on Utube. I am thinking of her and her partner, we must remember how blessed we are.
Mel eat some chocolate for me and how did you go at ww. Have a great weekend.

She hasn't been that grumpy which is surprising but she has been waking up crying at 2:30am for the past 2 nights...
not long now and i'll have a litlle toothy monster
Mel - i'm so sorry for your friend that would have been heart breaking. I can't imagine whats she's going through poor darling :hugs: to her and her family.
Thanks girls for the hugs for my friend...I think she'll try for another baby, but she's all the more grateful for the 2 healthy children she has!
Chocolate tour was fabulous...just enough chocolate and I bought Bridie's easter gift...a stuffed bilby from Haigs...so cute! Managed a little bit of shopping too! Lost 0.7kgs at ww too, although I'm sure I've put it back on today!
Hope you're all having a good weekend and that Aysha sleeps all night tonight!

Just popping in for a quick hello, don't seem to get time anymore :( We are all going well although both Thomas and I got the flu bad for a week but are now on the mend.
Thomas is doing really well, loving day care heaps and has just cut his 8th tooth. He is speed crawling around everywhere, one minute you see him, the next you don't :p He has started to pull himself up on everything and we've had a few little accidents.
We've been soooo busy lately. Have been planning Thomas's baptism and 1st birthday party and also very busy with wedding plans. I went and meet the hairdresser today and got my hair done, I love it :smiliedance:
Well my little monkey wants his dinner so bye for now and take care everyone. Big hello's to everyone :hugs:

This weekend DF went to the drag races in sydney so my 13yr old sister came over to
keep me company.
I am so glad she did, Will woke up around midnight with a terrifying cough, we have had an outbreak of whooping cough in the area recently, so i had some terrible thoughts in my head. He was coughing so forcefully that he couldnt breathe properly, and his face was just covered with fear. I rang my parents and started bawling, i didnt know what to do. I then called the hospital who put me in touch with an oncall nurse hotline, who was fantastic. She told me that it sounded more like croup than whooping cough, *sigh of relief*, and that because his lips were loosing colour she was calling an ambulance to take us to the local hospital. So i had to call my MIL to come over and watch Charlie and my sister.
We waited in the ER waiting room for 3 hours as there were beds at all. There was only 2 drs on and one was attending to a patient that had stopped breathing.
During this time Will hadnt coughed or wheezed the whole time, so i decided to go home, under the instructions that if it got any worse i was to come straight back in, no hesitations.
He is still sick. I am taking him to the doctors tomorrow.
Charlie is doing great. He, like Thomas i see, has just cut his 8th tooth, actually he cut tooth numbers 5, 6, 7, and 8 all in the last 2 weeks. He is a speed demon on all fours. He is pulling himself up on furniture. He is now saying pop and he is blowing kisses. He does this cute thing where he covers his mouth and laughs, it is adorable.
Anyway i am off nappy hunting again.

Hello ladies,
Been lurking around, but not posting much so now that i have some time will update you guys, but firstly...
Beth - how is Eme going, have noticed on FB that you have been having a bad run.:hugs: to you both and hope things are improving.
Monday night was a bad one for us, Jessica had an upset tummy and was crying alot, i was up at 12am then again from 1.30am through to 5am. DF could not sleep with her crying so he got up too, and lucky he did coz by that time she was just screaming and i felt hopeless and just started crying myself (i know you should not do that, but i could not help it, to see her in so much pain was terrible) so i handed her over to her daddy and he calmed her down with a bit of help of panadol! Tuesday night was a bit better was up at 12.30am and 2-3am. But last night she seemed to be back to normal which is good for all of us.
Did alot of gardening 2 weeks ago and the next day strained my neck really bad My muscles just went into this spasm and would not loosen up. Could not turn my head and had big troubles picking Jessica up, so have been to and from the physio for the last 2 weeks and seem to be almost back to normal now.
Have my specialist appointment for my knee on Monday so fianlly i will hopefully get some answers on that pain.
Alison - how have you been going with your results. How is everything with Henry & Lizzy? Have not seen you on here much.
And was it Sasha that was awaiting some boobie test results? How have you gone hun? Hope everything is ok.
Well have seemed to have weined Jessica fully from the breast. I managed to drop 2 feeds and then after about a week, she did not want the breast anymore, just the bottle all the time. So had to massage and express a bit in the shower and it seems to not become engorged anymore, so that is all good news. I am finding it a bit hard to know how much formula to make up, as i am not sure how much she will drink and when, but i am sure i will work it out soon!
Mel - great news that your wedding plans are coming along nicely. DF and i have been together 9 years and engaged for 2.5 years, and i just can't seem to get motivated to arrange anything.
Mel M- Do you still catch up with the ladies from your mothers Group? i am due to host our mothers group catch up at my house next week. I am kind of dreading it to be honest. I watched a lady with her bub at another ladies house last week and she let her bub chew on some watermelon in those net things, and drag it all across the carpet and spill her milk etc. Now i know children will not be extreemly clean, but i am not sure i want her squishing watermelon into my new carpet that is a creamy colour. What can i do? (secretly hoping she does not come - that sounds mean i know)
Jessica is a little speed demon with the crawling now, i cant keep up with her and she pulls herself up on everything. Main problem is her pulling herself up in the cot and just crying until i come to pick her up sometimes! She has just cut her 2 top teeth, so that makes 4 teeth, and i can see the next ones coming to the surface soon.
Anyway better go, think i might have written a novel here. Sorry to those i have missed
Hope everyone else is doing well.

Thanks Hun, it has been a bit of a rough run, I honestly think it was her immunisations, they seemed to knock around her immune system and it just didn't recover, she couldn't fight anything else that came along. I am pro-vaxxing, I'd rather she get a cold than Mumps! But its so destroying sleep deprivation.
Perhaps you could set up an "eating area" for the kids like a big piece of plastic (u can buy it on the roll @ spotlight) surely if its obvious she wouldn't be rude enough to let her bub walk around with it? That would really bug me too!
Mel - 0h dress shopping will be so much fun! relax and enjoy!
Sorry to hear about your dog shell, that's sad.
Poor will, and how frightening for you! they can pull the heart strings these kidlets.
Sounds like there are teeth and crawlers everywhere! Eme has two bottom teeth and her top eye tooth just poking through (a bit dracula like lol) no crawling which I great because I'm going away with her next weekend to the "colour" womens conference. I sooooo hope she is better or my room mates will be going troppo at 2am!
NOt long til school holidays Mel, hang in there :)
Ok eyes stinging, off to rest them til next milkies time!
Beth
Hi girls, boy it's been quiet in here. I have had a massive day. Had to drive DH to work at 7am as my car was being serviced and it would have left me with no car! Weight Watchers (gained 0.2kg...not much to worry about, back on track tmoz), mum's group, swapped the cars over so DH's car could be serviced, back to work to pick DH up and then 45 mins in the other direction for dinner with some friends...I'm surprised I survived...Bridie did brilliantly! Each trip was at least 45 mins in duration, I reckon I've driven 250kms today, just back and forth, in 3 different cars! It was about 36 degrees today too!
Mum's group (some people asked about it) isn't too messy! Most people have dropped off, there's a core of about 5-6 of us that still meet semiregularly, there's one girl who's a bit of a pain...makes it hard. The kids enjoy spending time together too.
I hope everyone is well, I'd like to do some more personals, I'll try tomorrow when my eyes aren't hanging out of my head! xxx for you all

Not much happening on here lately, where is everyone, what are you all doing?
Looks like we are all chasing around after crawling bubba's now days.
Jessica has been sooo whingy lately, was vacuuming today and she kept crawling between me and the vac and just crying looking up at me (maybe she wanted to protect me from the scary noisy thing!!) Was quite funny really! And she now has her 5th tooth.
Beth, glad Eme is getting better. I agree with you re immunisations, i would rather her have them than to get really sick later on. Will also have a look at spotlight tomorrow. Thanks for the tip.
Better go, got some exercises to do for my knee. Blah.
Hi all,
We got back from holidays a few days ago but I haven't had much of a chance to get online. We went up to QLD to visit the relatives and got Henry baptised while we were there. Everything went well but travelling with children can be so exhausting...I need a holiday to recover from my holiday!
Looks like the Melb meeting organisation is coming along nicely. Count us in :)
Tracey - I finally went to see the surgeon on monday and the good news is that I don't need to have my gall bladder out. I just need to have u/s to keep and eye on it. What a relief! It's a big weight off my mind.
Sorry I don't have time for personals tonight. I just wanted to check in to let everyone know I am still around.
Take care, Al.

Kiralee, You need to try and not take sides. If these are the sort of games your IL want to play, let them. Do not say anything negative towards them to Aysha and as she grows up she will form her own decisions. If though they cause negative reactions and you first priority is protect your child then back off and reduce the contact.
My MIL is a witch, I set up some fairly simply rules that my dh needed to be around when MIL wanted to see the kids due to incidents in the past where I feel as their mother she has endangered them and she was not willing to play by my rules, her way or the highway, so she has disowned us, we have had very little comtact in the last 12months and have not spoken to her since before xmas and may never hear from her again.
You need to remember that this is their loss, they are the ones missing out from playing childish games and some people will never change. As long as you have put in the effort and tryed to maintain normality for Ashya, you can not do anything about others behavour.
I do not understand grandparents, they seem way to complicated for me, jealous and not willing to lend a hand or just love their grandkids without ties. I swear I will not end up like this when I have the privialge (sp) of becoming a grandparent.
grrrrrrrr. Family, serious what is wrong with them
Sorry for the rant, but always good to know you are not on your own.
Good luck.
Mel, how is thomas, saw your fb status and has me concerned. I hope he is o.k.
Sasha , I hope youare o.k as well, know we are here if you need and ear.

Geez it has been quiet in here, where is everyone??? I haven't been about lately due to Thomas being really sick :( He has had flu like symptoms for nearly a month now, seen 4 different doctors out at dalby, 2 lots of medicine and is still not better and the doctors out here tell me there is nothing wrong with him :hissy:
For the past 3 days now, we have had temps over 39 degrees, his urine output is nearly nothing and when he is asleep, he is really hard to wake up and when he does, he is sooo lethagic and not himself. I rushed him to the hospital wednesday and after sitting there for 4 hours with a burning hot screaming baby they still didn't see me and told me that it would probably be another hour or so :banghead: We had to head down to brisbane that afternoon anyway as he had his followup appt about his kidney's with his paed in the city today so i dosed him up on panadol and we drove down to brisbane. (Not a fun drive by yourself with a screaming baby)
My mum's doctor came to the house last night and Thomas's temp was 39.4 and he was just sooo unwell. He is on panadol ever 4 hours on the dot, if i'm late giving it to him, he goes down hill real fast. Last night he didn't sleep at all and cried all night long.
Today, he has had a chest xray done, and urgent urine tests. They have found that he had an inflamed throat and ear, possible tonsilitus and are fearing that he has pockets of pneumonia in his lungs :crying: The xrays show an infection in the lower part of his lungs, now we just have to wait for the rest of the results to come back. The urine test results are important due to his past history with his kidney's since birth.
So it's been a crazy last couple of days, I just hope this temp breaks soon, he is constantly burning up :( What really p****d me off was that the doc's out home have been constantly telling me there is nothing wrong but now, he is soooo sick.

Oh mel poor Thomas and you and dh. I really hope they now pull their fingers out and get to the bottom of this to help him get well quickly. Nothing worse then watching you bub when they are sick and you feel so helpless. QLD health has alot to answer for, be worth putting in a formal complaint once you are thru all of this, or even writting straight to Premier Anna Bligh, they need to know the good and the bad of your story and the more they are informed, maybe they might actually fixed the system.
Anyway my thoughts are with you.
Sasha, still thinking of you.
Well I have been up since 4am, Zoe is teething and this has been her wake up call for the last week. It is also Harry's 3rd birthday today. No party but I am making him a Thomas themed number 3 cake today and we are taking everyone to Underwater World tomorrow so should be a fun week end all around.
Girls I spend more time on facebook these day, so anyone who would like to catch up there and are not already friends on there please pm me your name and I will hook you up.
Have a great weekend and will post photos of Harry's weekend on fb next week.
Have a good one.
Hi girls,
Mel and Thomas...I hope you're both feeling a bit better today and everyday...sending you lots of love and get well vibes!
Ditto re: Juzzy's Facebook comment...I spend far more time on there and I think I'm friends with most of you anyhow...if not send me a note and I'll add you. I've blocked people from adding me to stop parents and students from adding me and seeing all my stuff! Juzzy, hope your celebration and cake were a success!
We've had a good week, bridie's bottom 2 teeth have come through so she's been a bit whingy but it's just been the normal daycare, home with daddy, mummy at school etc etc stuff!
Hope everyone is well!

Well we have got some good news, it's not pneumonia :smiliedance: Thomas has an infection in his throat and ear; and on the chest xray, it shows an infection in his lower lungs which suggests bronchitis. We are still waiting for the urgent urine test results to come back and they are really important due to his kidneys. :fingerscrossed: we get them back soon.

Good idea Kiralee,
Will be checking up on FB July Bubhub now ;-)
Hope everyone had a great weekend.
I actually got abused by a deaf woman on Friday, (by sign language) and have been getting nasty comments from her on my local mothers group FB page all weekend!
I apparently "Looked at her nasty" which i did not. I did however get frustrated with Jessica as she was being so grizzly and then vomited on my shoulder (she never vomits). Ahhh i am now over it.
Girls what search do I do on FB to find our group??? :flowerz:

here's the link hun

Thanks for that link Kiralee. I've sent a request to join :) I wasn't much into facebook when we were a due in group.
Tracey - Is the deaf woman part of your mothers group?? That is pretty bizarre if she is abusing you on FB :( Maybe you should block her or something?
Mel - That's good news that Thomas doesn't have pneumonia. I hope he gets better soon poor bubba. You guys have had such a rough time with illnesses ((hugs))
Us - Henry has a bit of a cold at the moment. It isn't too bad apart from being snotty except I think he is teething again drooling everywhere. He is currently driving me nuts as he constantly wants to get into everything dangerous in the house especially drawers, ironing boards, cupboard doors. We have quite a lot of stuff closed off or locked up but you can only do so much. He is also still in stand only mode in the bath and just won't leave the taps along along with the blinds that are just in reach also :hair: Tonight he nearly choked himself trying to leap out of the high chair. Honestly I am expecting our first trip to the hospital soon.
Otherwise all is good except I am way to busy. I hardly get a chance to get online anymore or even read a magazine or something. My other news is that I have just started going back to the gym and I am so sore!!
Bye for now, Al.
Hi hi hi all
Well yes been 3 weeks since I have been on here and now I think I need to try and find you gals on fb....another thing to try and keep up with sigh
Anyways so it has been chaos literally round here, had a huge row with my folks about them not respecting me and James and James ended up snatching the phone and telling them what for and it is now still going on they are right and we are wrong and after everything they have so called done for us that this is how we repay them and we are witholding our children from spending them....etc etc blah blah and for the first time in my life I am standing my ground and not backing down and yes it sucks but if I do say sorry or whatever then it will all go back to the way it was and they will get away with it, and morally I am trying to set a good example of how people should not treat you and that it is not acceptable, but unfortunately causes heartache in the meantime....
And with Landys birthday this thursday and his party this saturday I got the phone call yesterday trying to guilt me in that their nerves cant take coming and that nothing will change or be resolved til we apologise!!! But then she has the nerve to ask if she can have Landon for the day on friday which i first thought would have been ok because the problem really isnt my mum so much as it is my step dad.....but then I realised that she was only asking becasue my step dad refuses to see us or come to our house so she wants him so that she can take him to see my step dad and they can have time with him....so the answer was then definitely NO!!!! Anyways sorry for the rant totally long saga that has been going on since they got together....I never do anything right, I never pick the right guys, do the right thing, I dont know what I am talking about and know it all and am selfish and ungrateful!!!! But I have had enough and I dont want my kids to think that this is acceptable so I am taking a stand no matter how painful it is. So I understand Juzzy how hard it is with family and lack of help, I am fortunate however that my MIL is 10 mins away and is glad to help wherever she can but there is only so much that one person can do, and in the end we are happy to do it all ourselves I just really hate it when people are happy to throw it back in your face just how much they have done for you....when really that is what you do for your child as a parent is it not!? I most certainly will never be like this with my children in keeping account of everything ever done and then reminding them whenever I deem it necessary!
Then as I said earlier it is Landons birthday on thursday so I am planning a party for saturday, have a heap of people and kiddies coming, Thomas theme, got him a metal thomas pedal car for his pressie aswell as some metal road signs and a wooden thomas carry case, like a brief case for his trains and it has a trian track on it, I am making a thomas pinyada, thomas cake, have to make up the treat bags yet, and then decorations was thinking of doing some railway crossing signs etc and then will have to do a heap of cooking on friday...so there is that
James also got hit by a car a couple of weeks back which scared the life out of me, he rides his bike to and from work everyday and a car hit him and he flew over the bonnet of her car, so lucky he wasnt killed and is fit and that he had just sat up in his seat to pedal up the hill otherwise he wouldnt have rolled he would have been splattered all over the road with broken bones and serious internal injuries, so have had dramas with trying to get another bike for him....bloody nrma suck at paying out!!!
And our little family all got struck by the flu that is going around at the moment so much so that James had to take time off work and go to the doctors and he never goes to the doctors, although he was the worst to get it the rest of us just got runny noses and yucky coughs, so we are almost at the end of that now....
And lastly all the dramas with my lumps. the results of which have come back showing that they are not cancerous, at the moment, but my specialist is concerned that just because they are not so now does not mean that they will not become so in the future especially with my family history so would like to remove them in a couple of months as I said I wanted to at least bf Chrace til he was at least 1, but the longer I have had to think about it the more I am thinking that I would like another year, as I fed tahliah til she weaned herself at 21 months by which time it was pretty much only morning and night and I cant see why i shouldnt be able to do the same with Chrace, and if I am not cancerous now, if we simply keep and eye on them then why cant i have another year, especially seeing as the kiddies are still so small and I would need James to take a little time off as I have had one lump removed before and it is quite painful.....anyways that is what is happening, results are good but there still is a bunch more decisions to work through but i have just been trying to not think about it at the moment and just focus on the immediate things
And in the meantime I have been pottering around the house working on tiling and grouting, touching up painting and all the tid bits that you always mean to get around to.
So thank you for all thinking of me and sorry for having such a long rant but it has all just been building up and up and there just gets to a point where you cant shoulder all of that anymore.
Mel hope that Thomas is getting better and better and I am so glad to hear that it is not pnuemonia
Beth hoping that Eme is better soon, that is terrible when they are so ill, very lucky with my kiddies. Thinking of you heaps and sorry that I havent been around for you.
Hope that Henry gets better soon Alison
Mel the choccie factory sounded yummoo.....glad you had a great time and sorry to hear about your friend and her bubs....what a horrible thing, we all are so fortunate arent we
Sarah will see if I can share my pics of the artworks on here....dont know how but will give it a go
Sorry if I have missed anyone
Oh and re facebook my name is Sasha Rutherford so if you would like to add me then that would be awesome. The profile pic of me on there is one of me and James under a tree cuddling just in case you didnt know which one it was if there is more than one
Ok well better head off as there is a million things to get done, thinking of you all and sorry for such a long drawn out post
Hugs
