Ok, so I've been given over 20 white toweling nappies, the old kind, i think my mum used the same kind for me!...So I'm really keen to use them with baby no.2.
I have about 6 meters of flannelet nappy material, and I'm wondering how to maybe use this inside the toweling nappy at night time for more absorbency... does anyone have any idea's??
I'm keen to save money, and really want to be able to use these nappies at night time too.

Yep, i use them. I have the old school terry flats and since bub hub i also use MCN's. I am slowly building up my stash but keep them to either go out or for hubby to use. Soooo i use terry flats all day, i boost mine with MCN kinda inserts which are usually hemp/bamboo or microfibre, they work well for me. I dont use pilchers, just change frequently. I sometimes use Some of my pocket MCNs for covers if i duck out for a short time etc
But yes i think you could make some boosters from the fabric you have. I would make larger squares and fold them in 3rds or halves depending on how bub wets. You could also make some nice re usable wipe out of the fabric to.
I love terry flats! i really get my kick out of having the whitest of white nappies :D Weird i know but i enjoy hanging them and all!
I'd just buy a small amount of bamboo or hemp fabric and make boosters to go inside the terry flats. We used to use 2 terry flats at nights with our two older girls and we never had any issues. You can also use the flannel that you have, but it won't be as absorbent as bamboo or hemp
