hey,
just wondering, ive had a few symptoms, fatigue, tingly breasts,sickish. and i just had a period, though it was only 4 days long. i used to have 4 day periods a few uyears ago, b4 going onto the pill, ever since they've been longer (or not there due to last pregnancy). so i was wondering, if you're pregnant and have your first period, would it be longer? or would my body have balanced back quickly? (this is only my second period since losing a baby, and the frst was about 6-7 days long)

Shorter periods is your pregnant, the awnser is yes, i think im 4 weeks pregnant cause of my last missed period but my period before that was only 2 days and very light. when i was pregnant will my first bub i had 3 periods to start off with (i found out i was pregnant at 8 weeks and 6 days, and even them my period were only 2 days, my first period was normal and my last two were light) i think sometimes out bodys play tricks on us and it makes it sooo hard to know whats going on, i know how badly you want to be pregnant, maybe you could as your doc for a blood test in stead of waiting?
If you dont mine telling me how did you lose your bub, at 22 weeks? your bub looks full formed, why did this happen, its seem so unfair. Please only tell me if you want i totally understand if you dont want to. luv jenn

yeah my first day was heavyish, but after that fairly light. and 4-5 days.

They can't give me any reasons why lost my Lucky. he was a big healthy boy, i was very healthy to. he was a little too big though i think. the only thing the midwives said when he was born was that the placenta was a little pale. i mean one even commented on how much healthier and stronger the umbilical cord was(compared to whatever). they'll check for an incompetent cervix in the next pregnancy. one of the things that mde it very difficult wasas that all through the pregnancy, at our checkups, everything was perfect, nothing at all wrong.

im hoping for a healthy fullterm pregnancy next time, (and fingers crossed i really am pregnant, however i dont feel as nauseas today, so maybe not :( )

Life just isnt fair sometimes hey, your lucky looks bigger then 22 week gestation, im sure your next pregnancy will be perfect, thinking of you and i really hope you fall pregnant asap.

Hi, im new to this site and i feel really sick. I have been feeling nauseaus for the past few days and im turned off food and have a disgusting taste in my mouth. My periods are unusual because i i began spotting on Monday and my periods weren't due till today ( thursday), however, i got my periods yesterday but they are not the normal dark red colour. im feeling really sleepy and tired. Do you think i can still be pregnant? i did engage in unprotected sexual intercourse during my ovulation time. to be honest i would love to be pregnant:)
Im really confused and would like some advice and help please :confused:

Hi Suzzana.. Welcome!

If I were you I'd be taking a test. I haven't been pregnant so can't speak from experience but I'm sure plenty of other people could tell you that what you are describing sounds just like pregnancy! The spotting could easily have been implantation and any kind of scant, pink or brown (not red) bleeding earlier than you would expect your period all fits the definition of implantation bleeding.

Kiersten, i dont think im pregnant yet. however i just ovulated in the past few days i think, and we've been at it as usual :p so you never know!!!!!

hopefully we'll be travelling with littl'un next year too!

and welcome suzzana. im with cosmic on that one, take a test, u never know, sounds like u very well could be, good luck.

i'll be doing a test in a week or two, so fingers are crossed!!!!

Hi, thank you so much for your advice. i appreciate it very much. i am going to see the doctor today or tomorrow but im very glad i found this site. At least i can get advice from all of you people regarding pregnancy and babies :) My family have disowned me and no longer talk to me or associate with me so im really glad ive found some sisters and mother figures. I don't feel so lonely and isolated if i become pregnant now or in the near future.
i will see my gp today if he is available but i hope i am pregnant :) :)

hi ladies, its ok to tell you. My family disowned me for choosing to be with my husband. They mistreated him, put him down always, questioned his intelligence and never treated him like a son and expected him to shut up and cop the abuse from them.They never invited us to their place, mind you i was always told never to come over when i got married because my mother hated the sight of my husband and i. My sisters would mock me infront of him because of my job and my mum would tell him on numerous oocassions how much of a bad daughter i am. oUR relationship ended when my husband spoke back to them and told them how they were mistreating us and we disliked it. This made them go angry and from that instance they have disowned me.oh, the list goes on. My mothers last words to me last year was that she wishes i have a daughter who will mistreat me :( Ive cried over this last year, was taken to medical centres at night for sharp pains in my stomach and was told by the doctor not to think about them as stress will affect my chances of conceving. My own father told me when i saw him last not to have children by my husband.
Im not pregnant ladies, my symptoms are the result of aneamia and low blood pressure. speak to you soon. thank you for your support.

Thanks Ami, i dontthink its a racial aspect with mt family, its just that they are so possessive and they don't like the fact that i have found someone else to love and who cares for me. My husband is a genuine, senitive and amazing person whom i adore. Trust me i am picky when it comes to men, so my family should be happy. However, one day they will wake up to their senses and see that they were harsh and cruel with their treatment towards my hubby and i.
Regarding my periods, they are really strange. i told my gp yestrerday that they are basically gone, i got them wed, spotting since mon and tues and now they have stopped. he checked me yesterday and said i have low blood pressure and am anemic , he thinks that is why my periods are playing up and thats why im experiencing these symptoms of tiredness, fatigue, nausea etc. well im going to work on getting better esp my iron levels and try to conceive soon.

hello just a new ldy on the block. Had trouble 4 ,3months and took tests all said no prego's. then low & behold we find we r 9weeks3days expecting. just a big shock as we didn't plan this 1. be careful & check.......
