Hi,
After going through Xavier's old wondersuits etc for the next baby I hadn't realised how many of them were stained with little vomits. Icky.

Which made me think....

Is this baby going to come out with reflux too?

I know one of my cousins had 3 kids with reflux and her brother's kids had reflux too.

Hopefully it was just bad luck.

It would be nice to have a baby that you don't have to hand over for a cuddle without a cloth nappy and a warning that they will probably chuck on our visitor.

And so much nicer for them to be content and pain free. Poor little Xavier used to get so distressed.

Thanks for your replies......Jo

Regardless of reflux i think all babies are a little spewy, but my DS had Really bad Reflux, but my DD didnt (but she was lactos intolarent) but only chucked if she was moved around lots just after a feed.

All 3 of mine were/are reflux babies. Also all 3 were/are lactose intolerant.
It's actually quite funny, my mum had 3 children and out of the 3 I was the only one that didn't have reflux, but it looks like, atm, I am the only one to have the children with it.

I agree..all babies are a bit spewy but Xavier was super spewy.

I almost cried with relief when the paed prescribed Zantac at his 6 week check up.

It didn't stop the spew but at least it stopped the pain.

Xavier was breastfeed and I hope to breastfeed this one too.

Thanks guys!

Going in the opposite direction, my first two didn't have reflux but #3 does. I think it's just luck of the draw!

Guess I've got a 50/50 chance. They're either gonna have it or not.

At least I will better prepared this time if they do. Both with bibs, cloths and mentally!

It was awful going to the GP at 4 weeks and being told that Xavier was a 'happy chucker' when quite clearly he wasn't.
But when you are exhausted and hormonal and recovering from the delivery it is easy to be steam rolled by doctors.
