What brand of soy formula??

Hi, my bubs is on Vitasoy at the moment and he is extremely constipated. I was thinking perhaps it would be worth trying the Karicare Soy.
Any mums out there with bubs on soy formula??:confused:

Hi Alexandra,

My bub is 4.5 weeks old and the only formula I've had her on to date is the Karicare Soy which she seems pretty happy with. Both DH and I are lactose intolerant and were told by my Naturopath that our bub would have a 75% chance of being lactose intolerant too so I started her on soy from the beginning (after my BF'ing failed).

However, tomorrow I am taking her to see my Doctor who is a GP & a Nutritional Practitioner for a 45 minute appointment - the main thing I want to discuss with her is which formula is the best to use. I did a bit of reading on cyh.com last week about soy formula's and it mentioned how they are not always the best option due to a higher amount of aluminium in them, phyto-estrogens and how some babies have lower immunity on soy formula. There are apparently some other low allergy formula's available via prescription, so this is what I'm going to speak to my Doc about - she may very well say that Karicare Soy is absolutely fine. I'll let you know what she says :)
