hi i have a problem. i have a wedding to go to in a few weeks and the top i have to wear is kinda low cut in the front and has very thin straps. i am having trouble finding a bra to wear underneath it. i was wondering if anyone knew where i could get a bra (either strapless or with those clear straps) to fit a 16d that wouldn't be seen under my top.
as i live in brisbane somewhere near me would be great. also i haven't got a lot of money to spend so cheap would also be great.
Thanks
Belinda

depending on how thin the straps are could you get away with thin strapped bra?? If soi found some in Kmart the other day for the bigger bust i think they are called secret love or something similar and they are on about $20 and they had the balconette (sp?) bra so low in the front. and they also had diff colours so you maybe able to get one that matches the top colour and again they had thin straps, not sure if they did strapless i wasnt looking for one.

i probably could get away with a thin strapped bra if it was low cut enough. thanks mummysam. i did look in kmart the other day and only found granny type bras that were huge or cute little ones for people with no boobs. i really get depressed when i go shopping for bras as they never have nice ones to fit me. (i refuse to wear a similar bra to my mother and grandma when i am only 24. i want something cute and pretty too.) i will have another look at a different kmart this time and maybe i might have some more luck.

I would go for a thin strap bra the same colour as the top, the clear straps are more noticeable!!
I always find fantastic bras in Grace Bros, oops Myer or in Bras & Things (do they have them in brissy?). And they have people who can fit them properly in those shops too!! Make sure you remember to take the top with you so you can make sure the bra doesn't show!
Have you looked in Myer? The one in Sydney has a strapless section with brands like Playtex, Fine Lines, Berlei ... They also carry D cups.
The prices vary but I would expect to pay around $40.
Not sure if it helps but Target sells just the clear bra straps if you already had a convertible bra.

i use to have several convertable bras that were really comfy. unfortnately they don't fit my new post breastfeeding boobs. (they did shrink but not enough) all the ones i have seen are not in my size or they look like something my grandma would wear (really big and ugly). i wish the bra companies made nice bras in bigger sizes.

They also sell stick-on bras in bras n things for about $10 for a packet of 3 pairs. Some people with D sized busts say they can't wear them, but I have DD at the moment (breastfeeding) and I wore them to a wedding recently - I had to put two pairs on, but I managed! Might be worth looking at.
