Hi mums and dads,

My name is Daniel and I'm daddy to Wyatt and hubby to Beth (Bepi Barina on here).

I work in the IT industry, love cars and spending time with my family. I'm an only child and We live on the Gold Coast.

I joined this site to hopefully find other daddys that post on parenting forums as fathers seem to play a background role in child raising these days.

Hey there Daniel

I have to get my hubby onto this site as well - he is also in the IT industry (networks) and loves 4WD off road. I don't know when I can pull him off his beloved 4WD forum and move him here though! LOL :p

There were only 2 threads in the "Dad" section and my DH scoffed at it!

Good on you for joining up! :yelclap:

Yay! More geeks!

I'm a sort of sysadmin/support hybrid, looking after hundreds of linux / windows/mac boxen at the uni here. What part of the industry are you in?

Have you ever noticed how much a young baby's movements resemble the output of an only-partially-trained neural net? Have you ever got in trouble for saying so? :D

I'm at UNSW - the School of Computer Science and Engineering (http://www.cse.unsw.edu.au), to be exact. If you're one of the people from The Unit Formerly Known As Comms, we're the irritating troublemakers down in K17. (And if you're not, you likely have no idea what I'm not about.)

Bah, he's nothing more than a sperm donor as yet.

And even that may be up for debate ... we'll see if Bean resembles him or the milkman more when it comes out ... :p

I do onsite service work of our clients and contract work for banks, tab and whoever else we get work from really.

Mainly my job is looking after servers and the clients that attach to them and their silly issues. The server hdd is full, WELL STOP D/LING MP3's type stuff :)

If it was 5 years ago I'd be on that server quicker than you can say NNNEEEERRRDDDD, but PC only for work and forum browsing these days. I miss my gaming days (hence the nick name).
