Girls night out - Late June

Hey gals!

Just wondering, if I get some ideas on where we could have our next girls night out, would any of you be interested? Im hoping to plan it for late June :thumbsup:

Im having a look and think about possible places to go and then I'll post them up. Im looking at places all over the Coast so we can all vote on the best place again :)

Hey Beth - You're so good, I was asking the question on when our next girls night will be at the last meet, and what ya know your already on the case :thumbsup:

Im not fazed on where we go but the thing I love about the Casino is you've got lots of different resturants to chose from and the Prince Albert bar so we can go and hit the dance floor :smiliedance: so would be good to have a place where we can have a meal and then a grove :smiliedance: for those who are up for it....

If it's school holidays we'd wanna stay away from places like Surfers (I hate Surfers at the best of times:D ) so I dont really know of anywhere other than Casino... anyone else...?

I was thinking the same thing about Surfers. But what I will do is get a list of a few places in different areas and then post them up and we'll have a vote on it if you like :)

Just a question too, does someone in our group need to be a full member of the Southport Sharks in order for us to have a meal there?

the best night on the coast was a night me and dp went to that castle themed restaurant at tugun...but i have a feeling it may have shut down. will keep my thinking cap on. i have epilepsy so wont go if its at a night club...damn those blinking lights ,but ill keep watchin this thread incase its dinner or something

beth- as long as somebody is a member at a club anywhere, they can sign us all in at the sharks!
The Grand in Labrador has a few different restaurants and a bar with a dance floor for after dinner!
Mermaid Tav does too, and Margarita's in bundall..... mmm i love margaritas, so yummy!!

/me puts the idea of Ashmore Steak and Seafood onto the table (yes I know Bep, U thought of it yesterday). You girls should have a good feed there + it's central, not too far north/south or from highway.

What about the trawler at Mermaid, thats a good feed too.

OK, Ive had a look today at some places we could go, but to be honest, they are either family resturants and will be packed during school hols, parking is a nightmare or it's too dear for meals.

The Grand sounds good, either of the dates are good for me at this stage so I'll go with the flow.. Maybe a few of us from this end of the coast could share a cab cause depending on what time we meet the boys may be in bed and I wouldn't want Randall to drag them out to drop mummy off and their is no way that Im driving :smiliedance: can't wait :D

Hi Kara, Im all the way at the other end of the coast (just about) Im at Merrimac which is just behind Carrara Markets so anyone from Mermaid/Burleigh/Broadbeach we could go together... oh and Robina Louise :) cause I take it you wont be driving this time so we should all hook up

Sorry I have been neglecting the thread that I started LOL! Things have been a little hectic the last few days. Daniel's Nan passed yesterday morning so we are organising flights to Sydney etc. We are leaving on Thursday and will be back Saturday afternoon. I promise when I get back I will get stuck into organising the meet :)

Hi Beth, glad to hear your back on-board :hugs: , you know my vote - definatley an evening cause it's great to get away and be adults and have conversations that dont revolve around kidlets once in a while, leave the daytime catch ups to a playgroup type thing where all the kids can mingle.

Nikki :wave: Nope I've been very slack and haven't gone to the gym in ages (more money down the drain) so the weight loss isn't reliant on physical activity, but if you can add a workout they say the weight will come off faster - I personally think running around after children and grocery shopping is equal to a weeks worth of cardio at the gym anyway:D
