Hi there,
I'm a little nervous because I've noticed over the past month or so a mole/freckle on my arm that's changed HEAPS - become red and flaky. It's not sore to touch, but I can't help but be a little worried. I know that skin can change heaps during pregnancy, yet this just seems weird cos it's the only spot that's really changed. Everywhere else seems normal.
In my first pregnancy I visited a skin cancer clinic just out of routine and got sent away and told to come back when I wasn't pregnant. But I want to know if anyone out there has had suspicious spots/moles taken out while being pregnant. Surely it can be done!
Anyways, any advice beyond talking to my GP and midwife too...???
btw: I have very fair skin with lots of moles/freckles and my Mum has had multiple melanomas cut out/burnt off. Unfortunately I've been sunburnt more times that I'd like to admit....so the risk is there.
