Hi,

I've just been watching my little boy get very excited while watching "Baby Motzart" from the Baby Einstein collection. Initially he did not have much interest in it but he now loves watching Footy on TV so I thought I'd give Baby Eistein another go now he's a little older (5 months).

I did a search on Bubhub to see whether other babies were enjoying it too and there wasn't much written about it - the only mention was about it being quite expensive.

I bought a 16 DVD box-set on E-bay for the price you would pay for 2 DVD's in the shops.

Hi, We did the same thing. I bought Jayden a Baby Beethoven DVD when he was 3 months old after he watched one at a friends house and he was just amazed with it and spent the whole time sitting staring at the TV and just laughed and laughed. We then got a double full set of EBay for $240.00 and as there was two of each DVD we split the cost and collection between us and another family. Since then Jayden is now 6 months old and just loves his whole Baby Einstein collection. I am not one who is HUGE on children spending hours in front of the TV but he seems to really enjoy them and they do seem to have an "educational" side and I tell myself he is only a bub and it is 40 mins at a time so when he gets whingy or just is looking for something to do I put them on and get 40 mins complete silence.

I love baby einstein. ( And another thing is as it is all classical music I grab a book and bean bag next to Jayden and it becomes "mummy chill out time"

Hi, I just purchased a GREAT DVD called Baby Bumble Bee its a vocabulary builder and is probably for older babies 6 months plus. Its very similar to baby einstein but it labels things eg dog, cat, car etc. My son just turned 13 months and has been babling the usual words, mumma/dadda/nanna/dog etc but after viewing the dvd just three times (it only goes for 20 minutes, I put it on after breakfast for him) he started saying Car, duck, cow, uck (truck) and pointing to things like ear, mouth, nose on his toys and on us! The music is just like that on baby einstein-Its GREAT!!! The dvd also has other languages too (spanish, french, japanese, german) and flash cards. check it out on www.justforbubs.com.au website they also have some for older children (preschool age etc)
