Hello ladies,

I am looking to purchase some MCNs for my DD. She is just a wee little girl, and although I like the look of the one-size-fits-all nappies, I am concerned they will be super bulky on her, and she will get too hot.

So I am thinking to buy some MCNs in a small size while she is still little, and then moving on to a OSFA when she grows some more.

What do you think? Any recommendations? She is only 3.4kg ATM and gaining weight slowly so I think we will be in small for a while yet....

Thanks!!

I would recomend Itti Bittis, my DS is small and they have always fitted him well, they have great resale value also.

 Or you could get some prefolds, I got bamboo fleece ones from Booroi and they're fantastic. Bub isn't here yet and I am using them really often.

Cloth'd up still have some smalls and newborn sized fitted cloth nappies as well, on clearance for $8 each if you'd like to try some of those out for nice and cheap. :)

Thanks ladies. Itti Bittis seem to be out of stock I think, but I have emailed the Cloth'd Up people and :fingerscrossed: they have what I am after.

I'm also looking for some "mixed trial packs" now, so when its time to REALLY commit to the bigger MCNs I know what I want!

The Itti Bitti web site has small d'lish available - you might want to get a trial pack from them, that gives you the 2 types of their nappies to try. I prefer the snap-in-one's but alot of people prefer the sewn-in-ones. A trial pack is a good place to start.

Also the Nuture Nappies web site is great and they are very helpful and have always replied quickly to any of my questions.

Goodluck.

We found when DD was really little that flats and covers worked a treat. You can get bamboo and sew your own flats if you're feeling up to it ;)
We like itti bittis here as well. The MCNs with a narrow crotch have always suited my DD best and she is now 2. Others we like are bubba J (snap pockets) and Berry Plush (all in 2s) - they are trim with a narrow crotch and seal nicely around the legs.
Good luck!
