Ok so I have finally arrived in NSW - South Coogee in fact. Can anyone help me with things to do with my 18 month old close by?
I'm looking for things that I could do weekly to help him socialise.

Aww i am so jealous. I miss the eastern suburbs.
Not sure about group activities but there are some good parks nearby. There is a really cool playground near the surfclub at coogee beach and a good fenced one at maroubra beach.
Another cool playground at fox studios and also there is a lollipops at fox aswell and in school holidays they often have petting zoo's etc up at fox.
Hope that helps a bit....enjoy

Hi,
We're in Maroubra (next suburb). They have kids club at Bowen Library (maroubra junction) every wednesday that we go to, it's aimed at 2-4 year olds but your little one certainly wouldn't be the only bub. It goes from 10.15 til about 10.45 and they do story time, movie and craft. My DD really enjoys it and we've made a few friends through the group.
They've got a toy library there too which can be very handy.
I can't suggest a playgroup as we still go to one in Waverley where we lived before, but there are plenty around, just google it.
There are plenty of great playgrounds around, try the one near the surfclub or theres a quieter one at the coast end of Rainbow St (off Arden).
Hi,
There's also a kids nursery rhyme class thing at Maroubra library on a thurs morning, I think 11am? And Randwick do the same on a Friday although it's quite busy and isn't closed off so I spent half my time chasing DS! The Maroubra one is in a closed room which is better.
I also heard that at the Coogee Palace they have mothers groups each morning downstairs, I wanted to go along one day but wasn't sure if it was just for babies, my DS is 18 months too. If you go let me know I'll meet you there.
