Hi everyone,

I'm just looking for advice/experiences with prenatal/active birth yoga in Brisbane.

I have been looking for a class, and can't really find anything local - I'm in Balmoral.

So far 'net research has pulled up 'yoga in daily life' in the Valley and 'yogababy.com.au', neither of which has class times which fit particularly well with me, but I'll make the effort if it's worth it!

I'm 23 weeks now and just starting to feel like my body isn't as flexible as it once was. Not that I have ever been terribly fit or supple, but at least I could manage to shave my legs without cutting myself 27 times. Unlike this morning.

Any views/opinions would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers,
Kim

Hello,

I am a 1st time mum and went to Yogababy for there 2nd trimester classes and the Active Birth Classes and my instructor was Suzanne Swan the owner of the business.

I have never been to yoga before and I found the classes to be fantastic. It was really good going along and meeting other mums who are due around the same time as you.

The classes are very informative. The 2nd trimester classes are a bit more physical due to you not being to far along in the pregnancy but not strenuous. You are able to have discussions with other mums about what they are experiencing during their pregnancy and to start to become more in touch with your baby inside.

The Active Birth classes you start to practice different birthing positions to use, relaxation techniques, breathing and hear birth stories from couples/ mothers whom previously attended the classes about their birthing experience and meet their beautiful babies whom some are only a few weeks old.

After attending the classes I always had the best nights sleep, that night very sound.

I highly recommend going along to the classes. I am positive these classes helped in some way for me to have a nice content baby now and it was a way to relax from the hectic life of work and to just be with my baby.

I now go to the Mummy and Me classes with my 4month old and are now meeting up with the same mums from the previous classes and now seeing the lovely babies that were in the tummys.

Hope you decide to go along to experience it!

Cheers:)
