My 11 mnth DD has been quite unwell with her molars the last week. however it seems to only bother her at nite she is now waking about every 4 hours and is vert difficult to settle without constant cuddles and rocking her to sleep. but i am worried that this will become a habit and maybe her teething problems are subsuding. how do i know if it teething pain or becoming a bad habit. sometimes she has had panodol and a bottle but still wont settle. it is getting tiresom doing this every nite. any advice.

hey belinda my son is 13months and doing pretty much the same thing...he has his own room but just recently ive had him in his portable cot in our room so it's easier to settle him when he's crying.....
all i do is give him panadol and bonjella and lay him in the bed but on my chest kind of and pat his back gently and that seems to work quickly...but when he doesn't stop wriggling around and crying i give him some warm water out of the kettle and change his nappy cause as you probly know rashes seem to appear more when teeth are coming through so i just eliminate anything i think might be causing him pain....I personally dont think that it will form bad habbits, i was a bit unsure at first as i have my son in a routine were when i put him to bed at 7 he knows its sleep time and i dont have to rock him or anything and i think its just during teething that they seem to need the extra attention;) (oh and of course whenever sick hurt or anything like that lol)
hopefully this advice will help you out and good luck with it:hugs:

A tell tale sign that Lukey is teething, is his nappy. Without going into too much detail, his nappies (number 2's) are foul when he's getting a tooth. Also, the biting on the bottle teat, fingers in the mouth...you know the sort of thing.
I use a teething elixir made by a chemist in Melbourne (who will also accept phone orders).
All of my friends use it and it really works.
If you would like the name of the pharmacy & phone number, just pm me.
I know how frustrating & tiresome teething can be...for bubs & mum!
