Want to meet new people, improve your fitness and health and enjoy the outdoors?

The new summer program of Brisbane City Council's Active and Healthy Parks activities kicks off on 10 October. There's something happening in 65 parks across the city.

Most activities are free and all are run by qualified instructors.

Some of the special activities for Mums and Dads include:
* Pram strolls/walking with prams (visit http://www.extraonline.com.au/story/details.asp?StoryID=10350)
* Just for Kids where you can enjoy a pilates, tai chi or jazzercise class while the little ones are kept entertained by the Fun Factory (for children aged 2 and up)
* Fun Days with traditional games like sack races, earthball and egg and spoon races

You can call Council on 3403 8888 (24 hours/7 days) for a copy of the program. Some events are also included in the Bub Hub Queensland calendar.

Regards,
Susan

I would just like to add that I went along to one of these walks and found it was great. I was impressed by the professional and friendly nature of the trainer who took us for the walk and think that its a fantastic way to meet other mums in your area. I'd like to encourage anyone who is even remotely interested to check it out ;) .

Cheers
