Hi Ladies,
This is probably one of the most difficult things I have had to write. I guess it is something you never dream you would have to do.
Well, here goes. I was diagnosed with premature ovarian failure (early menopause) in my late teens, which was devastating to say the least. I am now in my early 30’s, and now married (after my initial diagnosis I wondered if I would ever get married, but I am now to a lovely man- I guess love is like that). My wonderful husband and I require egg donation to begin our family.
Three years ago, purely by chance we had an offer of donation by a kind & amazing lady and went through the long counselling, collection & storage process. After an early m/c first time around, unfortunately we didn’t have any more success with the 4 other embryo transfers. In the meantime, we have tried other forms of treatment, which unfortunately didn’t work either.
I am wondering if there was another compassionate woman who would be willing to help us please? As all the posts/board information says, most clinics recommend women to be under 35 years and have completed their family already. I realise that there is a lot to consider about for both donors, recipients and their families.
I can assure you, my husband and I have put serious thought into this before embarking on this journey also. I am always reading and keeping up to date with all the relevent information relating to children born via donor conception.
Although, we are a very loving and happy couple- we would dearly love to have a family and become parents and complete our family.
Thank you very much for reading (and possibly considering) my post.
Best wishes,
SallygirlWA
