Anyone else doing this?

I am on holidays at the moment so it is not a bother, but when I go back in a few weeks, it all starts again.

I went back to work at the beginning of last year when DD was 14.5 months and thought she would wean soon enough because of it, but she is still going stronger than ever.

I feed her when we wake up, before my shower and breaky than have 30 min to shower, dress and eat .

When I come home from work, she practically pounces on me, and then she has more milk just before brushing her teeth for bed.

Occasionally she wakes in the night, crying for more milk, and those days (after) at work are exhausting.

Anyone else working Full time and BFing? I don't express at work as DD can survive without milk in the day :)

I don't do it, but I know you often have trouble with breastfeeding and I want to say

WELL DONE!

Breastfeeding would, without a doubt help your daughter deal with the separation. When I went to preschool (yes I was five, but I was a mummies girl and was a high need's child), there was nothing better then having a breastfeed when I saw my mum again. It really helped relieve stress.

Thanks Neo :goodvibes:

No trouble now luckily, (just emotional angst ). I am inspired by Dr Fiona Wood too (2005 Australian of the Year). She has 5 children, who were apparently BFed to full term , while she was working.

Can't remember where I read this, and haven't found any info since, so if anyone can help me that would be great too.

Still would love to hear from anyone else working Full time and Bfing when not at work ( or combining EBM with Bfing and FT work). How do you find it all? Are you planning to wean, or have you given up like me :p?

Hey! I breastfeed my 20 month old son and work ALOT. I am the same, a feed in the morning, and one at night. I dont feed when i get home, just try to keep him preoccupied with dinner, bath, book. Boobies are at the end of the day.

Actually, the days I work he is more structured in his feeding then every other day. He does like to touch his "Balls" as he calls them (gee thanks Bubba!) - just a comfort thing....

i've tried teh keeping her preoccupied, but she just goes off tap. I like it when she has been given her dinner, because she is less likely to jump on me. I also like Fridays because I take her to mother's groupo and she is so happy playing with all teh other kids she forgets to ask (until we get home that is -but dinner is waiting )

I think she is a bit more structured when I'm not home too. When I am here she asks all teh time, She forgets that she has otehr food to eat. I remind her during teh day by asking her if she wants yoghurt or fruit etc. But sometime she won't take no for an answer :D.

DH likes me to be home if she hurts herself as I can just give her milk.

Once she hurt herslef while I was at work and he couldn't stop her grying for about 40 minutes. he finally manged by offering her chocolate
