I haven't gained much weight during the past month or so of my pregnancy - 28 to 34 weeks. (Only about 1 -1.5 kg.) I have always been on a diet and I'm concerned that I've harmed my unborn baby. In total I've gained aprox. 10kg thus far. I appear healthy to most people except for my husband. He's been telling me that he's not happy with the way I eat. My obs is not concerned and doesn't say much about my weight I probably appear healthy to him. What have I done to my poor unborn child? I couldn't sleep for days and even though I'm eating more than enough now (35 weeks today) I'm concerned that it's too late.
10kgs is ok - I think for someone of normal weight between 11 and 15 kgs is average - although many people put on more. Your OB will tell you if there is an issue but just keep eating healthily...
I didn't put on any weight with my first pregnancy and only 3kilos with my second pregnancy. My ob wasn't concerned at all. Our babies were growing nicely and were on track
Try not to worry.

As long as your bay is growing and thriving it really shouldn't matter how much you put on. I only put on 9kg with DD1 and 7.5 with DD2. And both of them came out healthy. Just be glad you won't have too much weight to lose later on.
The ob would know if bub is of normal size more so with ultrasounds and when he feels your tum so i would not be too worried and ask if you can have another ultrasound to put your mind at rest if you are that scared!
Bubs takes heaps of nutrients from us mummies without us knowing and most of the 10kgs will probs be all bub and surround...lucky you..lol
Goodluck!!
Im about 31 weeks and put on 20 kgs so im the other way around...lol
cheers.

Thank you, girls! You've been of great help. I feel much more relaxed about the whole thing and might just ask for another ultrasound to make 100% sure.
Thanks again.

So long as you are eating healthily and bub is growing at the right rate then I definately would not be concerned as to how much weight you havent put on.
If you were overweight to start with then it wont matter at all.
I lost 16kg with my last bub from when I found out I was preg till I had her. I was overweight to start with though and bub was a healthy size.
All the best for the rest of your pregnancy.
