I am having the worse day today :(
My DD has been such a PITA lately, and every day gets worse, but today, is every day that has passed the past 6 weeks, put together into one day.
And I cant handle it :( I just want to break down.
I have taken her to the docs, they gave her a thorough check, and said its nothing, she is 100% healthy, but that it looks to be her top 4 teeth giving her troubles.
I think (hope) they are cutting thru today, coz she just wont stop crying, no matter what I do.
Ive run out of neurofen, and panadol is doing jack sh*t for her.
She wont take her bottles, wont let me give her panadol or even syringe water into her, not taking solids, wont even put anything in her mouth!
Im really at a loss as to what to do :( but I am going insane!
I know I keep posting about it, but I feel I can do nothing but vent about it.
:hugs::hugs:
Can you hop into bed with her? Bath?
What's her favourite thing to settle her?

She hates baths atm so it would prob make her cry even more. Tried cuddling with her on the couch (DF is asleep in bed and we dont have a spare bed) but she still kept crying.
Generally things like our TV remote, a bottle of water thats got the lid on (she loves looking thru it and shaking the bottle so the water swishes around), a few of her toys and the plants outside will distract her but not today.

Have you tried something like bonjela to numb her gums?
My dd is cutting her top teeth at the moment as well and has been a bit off her food, i have been giving her soft food, mashed up veggies and eggs (for protein as she cant chew her meat)...or yoghurt or custard with fruit in it..mashed up banana is always a winner as well..
As for bottles i have found numbing her gums before giving them to her has worked.
If all else fails try a dummy..my dd needs her dummy at night for her teething..she chews the absolute cr@p out of it!!..its also a good comfort thing for her.
I haven't tried these myself but i've been told about hylands teething tablets.
Panadol and neurofen are really just anti inflammatory's and wont take pain away..plus it takes a while to work.
Hope your day gets better :hugs:
Sounds silly but my kids loved to suck on a metal teaspoon when they were teething. I think the cold helped or something. It was a favourite toy for a fair while . I'm not sure if she likes going for walks in the pram??? One thing that always cheered mine up was putting them in the swing we had hung from the pergola. Cost about $25 from Kmart. Other than that is there any chance that your partner, mum or somebody who could watch her while you go for a walk by yourself, or even go get a couple of things from the supermarket by yourself? It would help you to unwind. Hang in there, trust me, they get easier as they get older.

Hey
Thanks for all your replies.
I ended up getting some Hylands teething relief tablets and OMG they have made such a huge difference.
But now my phone is playing up :(
