Just thought I would be nosy and hey the large family's fourm gets one so I thought we should as well!

So whats your house like. is it big and roomy or small and cosy? what do you use your spare bedrooms ( if any) for?

My flat at the moment is packed with boxs. I only pull out what I need. It has two bedrooms but I only use one as Im just waiting for my flat at the Hotel/restrunt/bar I work at to get fixed up were I will have only 1 bedroom but is much better for I can go home on my lunch brakes, it has very pretty sceanary, I will never have to cook ( I suck) and I will get to keep my horse there. Plus I never knew how much petrol cost before and now I drive to work gezz.:)

My house at the moment is clean because we're not there during the day. But wait until tafe starts back up, than it'll be messy 3 nights out of the 5.

We have 3 bedrooms, I use the spare one for a study desk, computer, futon for when people stay over, filing cabinet, and my washing room- so I have about 4 loads of washing on the futon ready to be folded!

My place is small so I have to keep it neat, otherwise we wouldn't be able to move!

2 beds, no spare room as bub now occupies what was our spare. Small bathroom, small laundry. Pretty decent kitchen, combined living/dining. Great courtyard, small but cute backyard with lots of plants :flowerz:

We're sacrificing space to be across the road from the beach.

I love our place but it is getting tight now that Ella is crawling.

We have a decent sized house. Seperate living, dining and kitchen, 2 bed rooms and a large sun room, then with decks on two sides. It's an old house with nice polished floors, and we love it. It is perfect sized for us.

We use the sun room as my dressing room/guest bedroom. I have a make up dutchess out there and a a bakers stand full of make up, and products (I am also a Nutrimetics Consultant so that might explain it...)

we live on a mountain so its got nice rainforest around.
my parents have a big garden and spend alot of time out there working on it, they have sectioned of a little bit for me and DD.

And atm the WHOLE house looks like a tornado hit. my parents have been out a day. im sick and everything hurts. so DD has just been trashing the place....so tomorrow i get to clean all day. i am going to make DD help me. ;)

We have a largish old house. But the way it's set up is unusual to say the least.

The main bedroom can only be accessed through the loungeroom or the second bedroom or the storage room!

We have an enormous office/ enclosed verandah that doubles as my studio.

No front door. the verandah had an access but it's been closed off because I could never hear people knocking!

Outdoor laundry shed with 'old dairy' storage.

A tickies hut moved here. Full of MIL's junk I've been moving out of the house for the past 5 years (it was DH's Parents and grandparents house)

An old army hut that serves as our guest accommodation. It has 1 large room 1 smaller room and a bathroom we put in.

and finally a wonderful old dancehall that came from down the road. It was bought and moved here when they were going to pull it down.

We have a small 3 bedroom house. Separate living, dining and kitchen, small bathroom and laundry too. Our spare room at the moment is packed full of things we need to get rid of. I'm storing stuff for a gf who moved inter-state so I need to organise something with that stuff too. The spare room will be used as a nursery in about 7 months so at the moment I still technically fit in this section

We have a small 3 bedroom house, Bug and I have a bedroom each and the third room is my study. In return for me having that room, she has run of the lounge room (i only go in there to clean) and I tend to entertain out in the family/dining area where I have a futon set up. I would dearly love a 4 bedroom house as we have no guest room anymore and it can be a little inconvenient being booted out of my bed for the guests

We're in a tiny 2 bedroom house. We moved into this after living in a 5 bedroom house. I so miss the space we had because I was doing a lot of sewing there and DH had his study and then we had a spare room for his Dad to stay in when he come down. Now I can't get any sewing done because I can't get to my machines, DH's computer is in our room so it keeps me awake at times and when FIL come down he slept on the futon in the lounge room. Oh how I miss it.

We have a small 3 bedroom house. We want to move due to lack of room. I want 4 bedrooms in case we have another baby, and a rumpus room, so my DD can go in there with all her friends and watch DVD's.

We live in a 3-bedroom house with living and dining areas, and good-sized kitchen. There's also a double carport and huge backyard with large shed. We think we are outgrowing it and would like to live in a 4-bedroom home, but instead we're doing something a lot more radical.... we're selling up to buy a caravan to travel around Australia in 2010. So I'm spending my weekends getting rid of all the "stuff" you accumulate over the years while DH is doing some home improvements.
Going from house to a caravan will be a total lifestyle change!
We hope to buy our dream home after our trip around Oz.

We live in a 2 bedroom Unit. DS and I have a room each, little lunge room full of toys, little kitchen, little laundry and seperate bathroom and toilet. I would be lost without the bath in the bathroom though, thank goodness I dodn't get a unit with shower only. We have a strip of grass out the back wher DS has a couple fo trucks and balls to play with, but we dont spend much time at home, we are always out visiting or at the playground

Me and bub.

I have a unit in a leafy beachside suburb. It's mine, YAY.

I love it, it's big, baby has her own room, I have an office, big lounge, polished boards - it's beautiful.

I have a cleaner once a fortnight. My pad is beautiful and I manage to keep it clean with the help of my cleaner who does all my floors for me so that I only need to clean spills in between times. Makes a HUGE difference!

:o

we have a 5 x 2 ... with big living areas etc.

We bought an old house from DH's parents many years ago .. and extended it really nicely wanting a family home to live in for all eternity (well if my DH has his way anyway )

Unfortunately plans dont always work out ... so here we are with 3 of us (+ 1 dog) in this HUGE house.

Anyway - we have our room, DD's room and a room that is soon to be my sewing room :smiliedance: (just has junk at the moment), an office and a spare bedroom (my folks have been staying every weekend for about 6 months so we needed a fully functioning spare bedroom LOL).

We have a main living area and a 'formal lounge' which has been taken over by DD's toys ...

We have a 4 bedroom house and it's just me and my parents.

I have the master bedroom (because I have so much junk LOL), my parents have there room, we have a TV room and a study. Aswell as a big laundry (basically another big wardrobe that's a waste of space) and a combined lounge/dining.

It's definetly big enough for my family. I have lived here all my life and can't imagine living anywhere else.:(

We've just bought a tiny house. It was 2 bedrooms, a lounge room, kitchen and bathroom. The washing machine is in the lounge room, the dryer is in the kitchen in the gap where the last people had a dishwasher.
It was built in the 1930s and has two fireplaces which aren't working - one in the lounge has a space for a tv and shelves for DVDs, one in bedroom shelves for books etc. The ceilings are high and they all have different patterns on them. We have a bit of a verandah, a small front yard and paved with brick out the back. Oh and a car port. and a picket fence.
We love it, even if it is small! It's always messy as I hate cleaning.

We've just moved into a large house, bigger than anything we've lived in before! It has 4 bedrooms, so one is the guest room and one will eventually resemble a study lol. The kitchen is massive which I love, and it has a double garage and nice sized yard, also seperate living/dining and a "family room" which we have named "the reading room" lol My favourite part though is my walk in :D :D

I was pretty excited to get such a big place at first, but now I'm thinking it's just too much to clean! lol

Old thread, but I'll answer anyway :D

we have a 3brm house, 2 large rooms and a small room. The small room has a futon bunk, a book shelf and a little tv stand big enough for a tv (when we get one) and a dvd player with room in the cabinet part for a few dvds to be kept. It's small and I've had an airconditioner put in that room as it's the smallest, and we can sleep in there on hot nights with the airconditioner going. I use that room as the guest room. We also have a double mattress that can be put in any room and a futon in the living room so lots of room for when people visit. The smaller room used to be where the small tv and the PS2 were kept, we'd play Singstar in there. One day we'll have a new tv and a new PS2

I love our backyard, and I love that it's easy to maintain, and I love that it's mine. I have one big room, DD has the other big room, and we love the space in our bedrooms, when DD keeps her floor clean lol.

Update since currently we live overseas: 3 bedrooms house, just as quiet and green like in Sydney's North Shore lovely gardens, 2 bathroom toilets, dining room lounge room, HUGE kitchen (kinda funny since I don't cook much lol) same like the one in Oz, all stainless from dishwasher to fridge! The difference is we have lobby, lifts and mean security guards, mean to strangers that is lol, we had a delivery guy recently for us and the security guards wouldnt let him near our gate lol

We have a 4x2 house. One bedroom is for dp and I. Briella has her bedroom, and another bedroom has been converted into a playroom. She is getting step 2 cubby house and play gym for Christmas that will go in there with her other toys. As she gets older we will put a couch and tv etc in there. The other room is a spare room with a queen bed in case friends want to stay. Our house has 2 living areas that can be shut off from each other which will be great for when bri gets older (she will always be an only child) as she will have 2 rooms, a living area and a bathroom to herself.
