My kids are never up that late. I can't imagine why the kids want to play in the dark like that anyway. Is the driveway close to the road? I certainly wouldn't do it, it doesn't sound safe as the dad could run one of the kids over by accident. Also not very considerate towards you. I'm in bed by then as well and wouldn't like kids screaming outside. Do you have a strata manager or someone you can contact?

How awful for the poor loves. I wouldn't be able to help myself but turn the light on for them. They are still only babes :( Maybe being outside is better than whats inside for them........ I would grow a hedge infront of my bedroom window to minimise the noise :(

No I would say that's neglectful and dangerous. On a communal driveway, they could be run over. I would be tempted to say something.

No way! Not without my supervision let alone after dark!

it is very dangerous because we drive into our drive way (slowly) but they often are there at the end with bikes and everything..

ive had to get out and have a go at them for us to get in our car space :hair:

the mum has never come out to say sorry once though.

we have a real estate agent.. but could they do something? i ask because we keep asking for things to be fixed and the owners pretty bad.

were moving soon and have been putting up with it untill now.. its just getting warmer and there out there more days now. because its not raining.

Thats' a failure to supervise, and next time you see it, I would call the local police for them to attend. If they see it, they would make a report to DoCS/DHS whoever.
It's a form of neglect - NOT OK!

Nope. Not that here we have the area where the kids can play outside, we have to take them to the park.
But even when we did, we didn't let DD outside without one of us and as soon as it hit about 4pm, we would bring her in.

Its sad when you do hear young kids outside playing when its very late and there are no parents, no lights..... how easy would it be for someone to sweep in and take the kiddies?

Well I think that its pretty obvious that you won't get a single 'Yes, I think that is ok' answer.

Perhaps you should call the police, if it is a safety issue like this.

You are right, it is exceptionally dangerous for numerous reasons.

No not in this day and age. There are so many weirdos around, crazy drivers and just plain idiots.

I grew up in a country town and in the summer I was always outside playing in the street with the neighbours at night, my parents weren't neglectful  but I was also older, around 10/11 though and as I said it was a country town.

Not at the moment as I live in a flat which is also 3 other people's driveway, but in a couple of months mabey seeming my front yard will be just behind my works backyard and there is no roads seperating us from them just a fence ( my house is next to their storage shed), but I cant see any reason DD would be up at that time anyway.
