Best to contact your hospital and ask a middy.
I know that you shouldn't insert cream into you vagina, but you can smear it on the outside.

I had bad thrush the week before my last baby was due & my ob said it was ok to use the cream that you insert (can't remember what it's called) as long as I only just inserted into the vagina - she said to use the plastic syringe but not to put it in all the way. But I'd check with your dr before doing this.
Otherwise you could just rub the cream on without actually inserting it.
My Dr said that it wouldn't cause any problem during birth or harm the baby but that it if I tore or needed stitches that having thrush could just make things even more uncomfortable for me - things get sore down there as it is without the added itch from thrush!! She said that I probably wouldn't want to insert the cream after giving birth if I was sore from a tear or stitches.
Also you can rub on natural yoghurt if you'd prefer to not use the cream.
Goodluck - with the birth and the thrush!!

Thank you so very much for your speedy replies!! :hugs:
Thank you spotty socks... I was so concerned the thrush would hurt my baby (the baby catching the thrush)... I can cope with me just worried about bub. Lots of inner health tablets and yogurt is on the menu for me :)
And thank you my little belle for your advice... I will contact the hospital if it gets out of hand. It's really not that bad...I was just so concerned for bub.
Thank you once again!
