I have just discovered purple pen marks that my gorgeous 14mth daughter has left on our white leather lounge. We always have it covered with a blanket but it seems she discovered a way underneath the little devil. So how on earth do I get them out without damaging the leather. I have just tried plain water and that didn't work and I'm hesitant to attempt a chemical without knowing what it'll do. I've lost the care book that came with the lounge too so that's no help either!!! ARRRGGHHHH!!!!! Help! Any suggestions? :banghead:

Hi
Mum had the same problem with my mr 3. She too has a cream leather lounge, Mum rang harvey norman and the told her to come in and they sold her a leather cleaner and with a bit of scrubbing it came of. I cannot remember the name of it, but i am going to their place later today an i will post the name of the cleaner later

They are in with the sponge section in supermarkets.

I'm not sure if this will work on leather but hairspray gets ink out of clothes.....sounds strange, but it works!!!! spray directly onto fabric, then pat with a damp cloth.

Ok it says to clean atains off leather use drycleaning fluid then sprinkle talcum powder on it. then dust it off.... then apply leather dew or saddle soap

I agree with heymamma, the chux magic eraser's are fantastic... they even get texta off the walls.... a few months ago I had to get nikko off a toy and it worked a treat. I swear by them.

Good luck.

Thanks guys for all your suggestions. Don't have any dry cleaning stuff or even hairspray for that matter so I'm going to try one of those magic erasers first and see how I go!

I used to work in a furniture shop and we sold leathermaster ink away (i think), its probably worth buying as at least you know it won't damage your leather (or void any warranty...), and its worth about $8. Good luck!

Methylated Spirit (clear) is the ducks nuts on biro. It's probably the reason that hairspray works (due to the alcohol). Make sure you dab, don't rub. If it dries with a tide mark just do it again, it will lift the lot.

What sort of pen was it????
