I'm wanting to use our laundry tub to bath our baby, but I'm not sure if it's clean enough. We've used it to clean paint (turps etc) in the past, but I've scrubbed it clean - I just don't know if there are any hidden nasties I should be worried about. Is there anyone who could offer some advice?

No damage. I bathed all my children in the laundry tub and the kitchen sink. Easier on my back and they loved it.

As long as you clean it after you use turps or paint. I just used to wash it once a week with soapy water and also the stuff you clean your baths with.

They are now 6, 3 and 18mths and have no nasty effects as a result.

Yep. no worries at all.

You could even use a clean nappy bucket on a bench.. that way they can have a nice deep wash. My midwife recommended that to me with #4 as he was very colic-y and unsettled. He loved the nice warm deep water though.

Thank you both for putting my mind at ease and taking the time to respond to my question - it's very much appreciated.
I'm resolved to use the laundry tub as it's just the easiest solution!
Cheers.:)
