Hey Girls,
Im also very local to you all, Im from The Basin. Would love to get to know you all better. Im a kinda young mum guess it depends on the day I have had hehe. Nah I am young 27???? Look forward to hearing more about the meet. I can be got any time on grantmelanie@hotmail.com

xoxo
just curious as to whether anyone is organizing for everyone to meet or not...
Someone should just orgainise a time and place and then ppl can come (or not) otherwise no-one will ever get around to meeting anyone although we all would like too.......does that make any sense at all? LOL
yeah it does make sense... anyone got any suggestions??? i know for me fridays are out but anyother day should be alright... and anytime before 3pm for me...
Milliner
10-08-2006, 18:07
How about next week wednesday or thursday!! Is that good for everyone, we could do lunch or a coffee??? You are right we should just make a day and who ever turns up turns up!!!
Milliner
10-08-2006, 18:10
I will make a sugggestion of somewhere too. how about knox ozone we could go to switch (room for prams great food and coffee) or the play centre there???
Good idea! Wednesday i can come anytime with the five year old or Thursday without him after about 1.30.
If it is Wednesday could we make it at a playcentre because otherwise i will spend the whole time saying 'come back, what are you doing' etc. etc. Actually after saying all that it would be heaps easier not to bring him so i would prefer Thursday afternoon but i know some bubs have sleeps at that time. Indecisive aren't i? Someone else decide and i will do my best to arrange something!
there is also a meet tomorrow happening but i'm not going to that as Fridays aren't any good for me.
okies well thursday would be fine with me stella... anytime before 3pm... how old are everyone's kids... just wondering if the playcentre would be better so the kids could at least run around and socialize a bit more with eachother whilst we can all chat.. i mean it is for them as much as us lol....

Thursday it is then! Bailey is only 7 months he is not crawling or anything so I am easy! Don't mind what time we meet!
I wish I could join u girls...I am a working mum, cant wait till I finish this contract and just work part time. Would love to catch up with other mums as I just moved to Melbourne and hardly have any friends here.

It looks like the play center at knox would be the best bet! How about we meet there on Thursay at say 1pm if thats ok with everyone or earlier. :)
I will have my pink ribbon LOL!!
Everyone is welcome!!!
OK, well why don't we make it on Thursday at 1.30pm at somewhere in Knox? MAybe we could try just a coffee first and see how we go, if the kids get too bored or whatever then next time try a park or playcentre. I think because most of them will be babies there isn't much point of going to a playcentre and for the toddlers, well there is enough of us to round them up and keep them entertained for a little while i think. Does this sound ok for everyone?
Janelle, maybe you could orgainise something for when you are free. I'm sick of my non-children friends and am very keen to meet some more ppl with kids and i am sure there are others the same.
oh, that was the same time as you Mel!!! Oh no there is 3 ppl called Mel, this could get confusing LOL
Milliner
12-08-2006, 22:52

I should have said a time and day and sort of a place LOL
MummyCharmzy
12-08-2006, 23:39
pleaseeee can it be the playcentre? I wont be able to come if its not, theres no way DS and DD1 will stay happy while i drink coffee.. DD2 will but thats no real help! lol
Thursday at 1-130 is great for me tho if its the playcentre! DSS might be able to come along for an hour or so before DP takes him to his mums as well :)
Well then i think we (finally) have a time, date and place! Yes?
So is everyone happy with Thursday, 1.30pm at the playcentre at Knox (can someone post the address pls). Phew! So who can come....?
Also will we have to pay for babies do you think?
it sounds like a great idea but i am unsure if i will be able to come as my partner has started a new job... we may be able to sort out something where we can come for like maybe an hour or so... i have not been to the playcentre at knox but if it is anything like the one i have been too u dont pay for children under 12months i think it is but i cant be sure... sorry i am not much help lol
Milliner
13-08-2006, 16:34
The playcenter is under amf bowling I can find the address for that if anyone is not sure where that is. I am pretty sure that there is no charge for babies and about $3 per child over 12 months.
those prices sound about right lol.... most are between $3 and $5 usually...
meags come anyway if you can...i will only be staying for about and hour and a half as i have to be back at kinder pick-up.
I was asking about the $ because i had to pay $6 for the baby to go into a centre a few weeks ago, he was 10 weeks old, not exactly going to get much playing done :banghead: I will NOT be telling DS1 that we are going to a playcentre or i will never hear the end of it.
MummyCharmzy
13-08-2006, 21:54
Hi there,
here are the playcentre details:
Wriggles Indoor Play Centre
Indoor play centre at Knox Towerpoint.
Address: 12b Melbourne Street North, Knox Tower Point, Burwood Highway, Wantirna South, VIC, 3152
Tel: 03 9800 2777
I'm sure if you need to know the prices you could call and check :) I can't believe you had to pay for a 10 week old thats ridiculous! DD1 is 13 months and even she wont do much playing I dont think as shes not walking, most places are over 12 months to pay for though. Ambers playhouse in forest hill is over 18 months im pretty sure,, but if i had to pay for a newborn there I wouldnt mind because they have electric baby swing and stuff FOR newborns there!
MummyCharmzy
13-08-2006, 21:55
I wont be telling DS or DSS either except maybe on wednesday... might work as bribary to get DS to finish all his dinner without arguments and for DSS to finsih his in under two hours lmao

14-08-2006, 15:32
okay I just called up and these are the prices
0 - 9 months free
9 months - 3yrs $5
3yrs + is $7
:)
thanks Charmzy:) So who is definatley coming?
Milliner
15-08-2006, 10:46
I will be there!
charmzy ambers playhouse in forest hill u start paying from when the child is 11 months but that is like $3 or something not much then it goes up again... i am whith you i dont mind paying there though cause there is somewhere for newborns to play. that is where Xavier and i usually go. I will see if i can come.. we only have one car and my partner is working 6am - 2:30pm so if i do come it wont be for long but i will see if it is all good for us to have the car on thursday...

It looks like it's stella, charmzy, maybe meags and I.
Did you want to meet out the front tomorrow at 1 or 1:30pm.
MummyCharmzy
16-08-2006, 20:33
I'll meet in there if thats okay, I will try my hardest to be properlyyy on time but with the girls that can be difficult lol
I'm probably going to bring a friend Chantelle along too and her little boy Kai. So it will be Me, Zach, Bella, Sav, Chantelle and Kai coming :D
I'll aim to be there at 1... probably closer to 1:30 tho but that gives me some room for movement lol
I will be there at 1.30 ish, have to drop Connor at Kinder first.
How will i know who you guys are? Can't exactly look for the ppl with kids:D
MummyCharmzy
16-08-2006, 22:47
recognise me by: newborn strapped to my chest, 13 month old girl in stroller and 3 yr old boy probably really hyperactive next to me dying to go play lmao
will have bubhub ribbon on my nappy bag too :)

Zachs got slapped cheek (parvovirus) http://embryology.med.unsw.edu.au/Child/page3a.htm
and tho it says 'do not exclude' and HE is no longer contagious... 50% of kids will catch it when around it and there for his siblings have a good chance of carrying it atm... therefor I've decided not to come today as I'd hate for half a playcentre of kids to get sick from them!
Its nothing major, just cold symptoms with bright red cheeks but still, we dont wanteveryones kids getting sick
sorry ladies, will catch up next time!! :(
Milliner
17-08-2006, 11:12
Thats no probs I hope that he gets well soon!!!! :fingerscrossed:
It looks like its you and me stella.
are you still keen to go, or did you want to wait till everyone can come?
Milliner
17-08-2006, 11:19
I don't mind. We can wait if you like.
Hmmmmm, maybe we should only because Connor would be able to come next time. Would it be OK if we rescheduled?
Milliner
17-08-2006, 11:29
Yeah thats fine. :)
Not that i didn't want to meet you though Mel and the beautiful Bailey. We are doing it really hard with the feeding this week too- B/F every 2 hours:banghead: Very cranky mum here! Shall we reschedule for late next week then?
Milliner
17-08-2006, 11:33
LOL thats fine. Hope things get better with the feeding.
I have added a poll to see what everyone wants.
How's the kids Charmzy? did they all catch it?
MummyCharmzy
19-08-2006, 19:13
omg so dont ask...
Zach having the cold symptoms from slapped cheek has given him SHOCKING conjunctivitis (he gets it EVERY time he has a cold but this time is the worst in about 2 years) he is also starting to cough the same cough alex has had for a whlie now but has got worse these past 2 days.. and sav is getting the same cough too
Bella is healthy but teething... not much fun there lol
I really want to come to a meet but obviously cant til they're healthy again..
'when it rains it pours' hey but with 4 kids that means it hails :P
At this stage I can't confirm when we will be able to come to a meet but hopefully very soon!
You're amazing! I don't know how you do it.
Milliner
22-08-2006, 10:42
It looks like it's 50/50 wed or thurs, I'm free both days so I don't mind. Is everyone still ok for this week to meet up??
Same place, same time????
I can't do Thursday this week- woul ppl be on for tommorow then?
unfortunately this week i am unwell so Xavier and I will not be able to catch up.. i have been stuck in bed most days with headspins and vomiting etc... fingers crossed i will be better soon.... hope everyone else is okies... :hugs:
Milliner
23-08-2006, 16:45
Ok is next week ok for everyone, it looks like this week will be out.
I'm sure we will all meet one day
will see how i am feeling etc i am hoping to be better but pregnancy is unpredictable lol
i guess with kids there is always dramas! How about we make a date for 2 weeks time and then we have plenty of notice and whoever can make it can turn up.
that sounds like a good idea stella....
Milliner
25-08-2006, 15:14

How about Wednesday morning about 10.30 or so?
Milliner
30-08-2006, 17:58
I can't make it next wed and mondays is out for me too. Any other day is fine
Milliner
31-08-2006, 12:10
I think this is why it is taking so long to get a meet together it's so hard for everyone to be free on the same day. :)
It will be easier for me during kinder holidays, maybe one day we will meet :fingerscrossed:
Milliner
31-08-2006, 14:34
:fingerscrossed: We will get there one day! When are the holidays?
MummyCharmzy
02-09-2006, 18:01
how bout we start a new thread with 3 choices of days only (with dates) and see how we go with that.. cos this isnt getting anywhere atm lol :)
Milliner
04-09-2006, 17:34
It looks like Wed and thurs are the go for a meet up.
Would everyone be ok with a meet on the 20th or the 21st of sept.
:fingerscrossed: we will be able to get together. I know that there is another meet coming up soon but I really don't want to travel to the city so if everyone is ok with a meet out this way let me know.
i would prefer a meet out this way and usually those days are fine with me.. this month however i have docs appointments etc on the 20th and 21st for jellybean otherwise i would be there.. all of u have fun though and i will catch up on the next one.. hope u r all well take care :hugs:
Hmmmmm, there is another meet for Melbourne being orgainised at Jells Park can we just all go to that?what do you think?
might as well if we can make it... i will go if health allows me...
Milliner
08-09-2006, 12:38

MummyCharmzy
08-09-2006, 14:25
