heya, im not 100% on this pram and have never had a tandem, supposedly they are buggers to steer as they are so long, but this one doesn't seem too bad. maybe just go have a look and push it around a bit
if you're gonna have a newborn and a two yearold would you consider a side by side?? thats what i have, a mountain buggy although they are a lot more expensive, maybe try ebay... theres also an adventure buggy but they're still around $500.. *not sure of ebay price*
goodluck with everything!!
Do you know any online stores in australia that sell the adventure buggy and if they fit through doors?

I bought a tandem pram (a babylove one, can't remember the exact name) when DS2 was born, and have recently replaced it with a side by side. Tandem prams are difficult to steer, especailly if your oldest child is on the larger side as mine is. The front seat doesn't recline very far, and is usually kicked up by the baby in the back anyway, who has little to no leg room to begin with! The basket is also very difficult to access, especially with the back seat fully reclined.
My side by sides, on the other hand (mine is also a babylove), and easy to steer, as far as i'm aware, they all fit through a standard doorway (who would buy them if they didn't?). Yes, you have to use the disabled checkout at the supermarket, but it's not that big a deal when you get used to it lol.
I'd recommend a side by side any day!

Is the babylove side by side a three wheel jogger or is it just a normal wheeled one?

I've got a tandem, and I'd probably echo uptheduff's negative review (but mine was a free handmedown so that was a big plus outweighing everything else! ;). Also, I can barely get even mine through my front door, so I don't actually think a side-by-side would make it into my house! ) And those tiny wheels are a real pain, there's so many footpath "lips" that actually don't go all the way down to the road, so you can cross a road and end up stuck and shoving on the other side - not good!
With mine the two seats are both on the same level - that one seems to have a raised back seat. I don't know what difference that would make, but it seems to me the front child would still get kicked in the back all the time
 Hey Mel, I pm'd you:thumbsup:

Yep! I think the theory is that the baby in the back can see more of what's going on with the back seat raised...but TBH, i'm not sure if that's the case!
clarebear1983 - The babylove tandem is a 3 wheeled jogger.

Is the babylove tandem 2 wheel jogger stable when the children are of different ages (i.e. newborn on one side, toddler on the other)......does anyone have a picture of one or a link to a picture of one?

My boys are 1 year and 10 days apart and the pram is very stable with them in it. They're both big boys...but the oldest is still a reasonable amount bigger than the youngest!
here's a link to a piccie!

I got mine from babytarget. It was on special i think for around $350, but we got the display model for $300.
