christening gift ideas?

Hello everyone i have a christening coming up for the daughter of very very close family friends and i do not know what is expected as a gift? I was wanting to get something of a keepsake does anyone have any ideas?

i think siver is traditional
but we got so manny trinkets and little braclets that in the end my fave gift was a beutiful display teddy bear
