i am currently booked in for a induction next weekend with baby number 2 and was wanting to hear from other mothers who have had a induction with both there first and second babys and what there experience was like the second time? currently it looks like i am going to have the same thing done as the first but i was wanting to know more about the labour did it progress quicker? was it any easier? or was it just the same. thanks.......
Just like every person in the world is defferent, so is every birth.
I was induced with my 2nd and 3rd with cervidal. My 2nd was a 27 hour labour and 2 hours pushing.
My 3rd was around 6 hours and 10 mins of pushing. I had the drip with #3 though, so that made a big difference.
There are many factors to consider....
*how ripe your cervix is
*position of baby
*when waters break or are broken
The possibilities are endless.
When I was induced with #2 my cervix was very unfavourable. DD's head was engaged and I was already having regular contractions but nothing was happening to my cervix.
When I was induced with #3 I was already 2 cm dilated. Baby was still sitting very high though. My waters were broken hours before she was born where as #2 they broke when I was pushing her out.
Just depends on your body on the day and baby too.

Very interesting topic!
I was induced with #1. I was already 2-3cm dialated - had the tape inserted the night before, waters broken by Ob at 7am - had just under 5 hour labour and 30 minutes pushing...
Looks like I may be induced with #2 next week if my cervix is favourable etc
