Just an idea for you...when we got married I didn't want a traditional hens night where you go out drinking so I had a 'pamper party' - we had two mobile beauticians come to my maid of honor's house and everyone had beauty treatments. They paid for their own treatments and depending on what they wanted to spend could have anything from a manicure to a body scrub to a massage. Mix that with some champagne and yummy picks, and we all had one blissed out and very fun day!

When I was going to get married, my bridesmaids & I booked a B&B so we could have a few drinks and do our nails/facial treatments etc.

I was looking forward to that more than the actual wedding :p

And yes, YOU do want a hens night.. so you can invite me :D

To me a hens night & a bridal shower are two different events  I had a bridal shower at a tea house then a hens weekend with my closest five girlfriends at a winery.

Well I'm not getting married and probably never will, but if I were going to have a Bridal shower it would be something a bit different, probably very low key.

Maybe a nice dinner out and then a nice long bath with some scented salts and my book.

That's all. :)

Thats what I thought-

Bridal Shower is for showering the bride with gifts for her new life.

Hens night is to celebrate with you friends the ending of your single/unmarried days...:flowerz:

My bridal shower will probably just be a low key afternoon tea, and my hens night will probably be in Noosa where I grew up with my closest friends. I can;t wait...

I had no interest for either...however I was pregnant with dd2. I imagine I would've had we got married before kids.

I did not have a hen's night and i'm happy with that choice.
It wasn't a big deal to me.
I also didn't have any bridesmaids or bridal shower.
I'm a tightwad so i tried to save costs by skipping all that stuff (more money for the honeymoon) :D

I voted yes for Hen's Night but I didn't have a Bridal Shower.

My Hen's Night consisted of myself and 10 friends meeting at my mum's for drinks, then heading out for dinner. My Bridesmaid organised cool shirts for everyone to wear on the night cos I flat out refused to wear a veil/tiara and our motto for the night was 'just say NO to Fluro!'. After dinner we went to another restaurant for margaritas and then back to my mum's for more drinks. It certainly wasn't wild but it was still fun :D

I didn't have anything before the wedding, mainly because I didn't have time and I couldn't see the sense in going out getting drunk like my friends wanted me to. I've heard of so many girls doing something they REALLY regretted the next day!

I sort of combined mine (mainly cause of the lack of inclination to go drinking) so we did a "chocolate High Tea" at a flash hotel in Brisbane it was soooo lovely nice food and a group of my friends, my mum, MIL and SIL plus bubbly and chocolate what more could you ask for?

I voted other :p As you do......

We had a "hucks" day, which consisted of Dh&I with closest friends and family, having a BBQ party..... I did not want a stripper,or all that nor did DH. We just had a simple party.
