After 3 threatened pre-term labours and 14 ultrasounds 4 of them interal I begged my doctor to induce me on my due date as I was in a lot of pain caused by DS trying to come early.
The day of my DD and induction came and the hospital told me they could not fit me in and to try again the next day I was very distraught but managed to wait one more day.
I had made it I arrived at the hospital at 8am very excited that I would finally see my baby.
I was 2cm dilated so they broke my waters and the contractions started right away and very painful after 3 hours of excrutiating pain I asked for the epidural.
I was given the epidural but the doctor went to far in, they told me it would have the same effect after another 4 hours of pain and no relief from the epidural the doctors told me I was 8cm dilated and the baby was laying in a postierior position.
They told me they were going to have to use the vacum at that stage I didn't care until they arrived with foreceps instead and informed me they were just going to go ahead with forceps, after 2 attempts and 2 doctors trying nothing happened.
They informed me I would need a c-section but they would need to put me fully out as the epidural had no effect.
This was a very emotional time for me and my DH as he was not able to be present and I would not hear my babies first cry:(.
At 9:15pm Jackson arrived into the world via c-section 2 hours later I got to see my baby boy, but he had already had the skin to skin with my husband so I missed that too.
But I'm just glad he is here and I made it to full term :yelclap:
