Midwifery courses

Does anyone know if you can do Midwifery courses through correspondence????

Hi,

If you are talking about in Melb, I don't think so. I am also going to try and upgrade my nursing degree to include midwifery, so I have certainly done my research. There are two options, to do your nursing dregree and then add another year at the end, or do just a midwifery course. Look up the Nurses Board of Vic, they will be able to offer you some guidance. I wish I could have done it online, so if i'm wrong that would be great !!!!! Good luck.

UniSA have external midwifery. However, as a highly practical course you will still have extensive prac work and possibly you will have to travel to Adelaide to do it. It is also a very hard course to get into academically.
