My 3.5 DS said to me the other day: "why do Mummy's do so much? and then he said "what do Daddy's do? He then answered his own question and said "I know Daddy's watch TV and play the computer!!! I told him he would have to tell Daddy that one when he got home from work!!! Daddy wasn't impressed. I thought it was very cute.

Kids are great aren't they?

My DD started childcare last year (2.5 yo) and was being toilet trained. She was using pullups prior to this and then the carers suggested we stop using pull-ups and just put underwear on her. So we did.
She came home one day (i was pg for DS and trying to nap on the couch) when DD fell on her bottom. She started touching her bottom and crying. She was so panicked.
I asked her what happened and she says "oh no.. look. Cant you see? it hurts." and pulls her underwear down showing me her tooshy.
Of course being concerned about her having just started at childcare and still getting used to the idea, i started to panic. I knew she hadn't fallen that hard and it was on carpet.
I asked her if anybody had hurt her. She said "YES. D**** did." D**** was her carer at childcare. By this point i was about to faint. I asked her "what did she do?" and through hyrsertical tears she DD says "Can't you see? She broke my bottom in half!"
Obviously this was the first time DD had fallen without a nappy, and felt that her toosh, was in fact mmmm.... divided?!?!?!

Yes yes... amazing how they can think of such clever things to say... yet other times, they know it would serve their purpose to regress and play the part of a naive little child.
 I LOVE that. "It's not mother's day anymore." That's right Mum... don't go getting spoilt now. :shame:

Speaking about mother's day and the funny things kids say.... This mother's day my hubby, 3 yr old son and I were having a lovely picnic lunch in the mountains. A little girl and her nanna walked passed our table and our son got chatty with the little girl and her nanna. The little girl's nanna asked my son's name and then introduced her grand daughter to our son. My son then piped up and said "That's my mummy from the museum sitting over there"??? :D  Maybe cause mummy's are SOooo precious and special!? I definatley don't consider myself historical at this stage!
