My poor bubba is in so much pain at the moment. She's cutting her eye teeth and her top molars have just come through.
She's been so cranky and frustrated, and very turned off her food.
Today we were looking through a house and the agent said to me "Whats that on your shirt?". I looked down and there was blood finger marks all over my white linen shirt!
I totally freaked out, then we realised it was coming from Brianna. She'd been knawing on her fingers and had made her gums bleed. :crying: My DH thinks he may have aggravated them by brushing her teeth before we left home.

I just feel awful for her. Has anyone else had similar reactions with their teething bubbas? Got any good teething tips?
I give her the usual good stuff like ice cubes, teething rusks, and baby nurofen (as a last resort).

Poor baby Brianna :hugs: My DD has been absolutely miserable for about 10 days trying to cut her 1st tooth. Teething just sucks. I hope your darling girl feels better soon.

mine hasn't started teething yet, but i read somewhere that instead of using a brush, use your finger with toothpaste, then get them to use really watered down mouth wash. that way they can chew your finger while you clean, and there are some anisthetic mouthwashes available. have you tried one of those water filled teething rings? you can put them in the freezer, and they have little bumps and things on them.

other than that, i have no idea as we haven't got there yet.......

hope she feels better soon. :hugs:

Thankyou! Thats very sweet! (we think so too! Not biased at all of course! :p )
And thanks for the tips cjb/jbvd, She's hidden her teething ring somewhere so I'll have to go hunting for it!

This is all natural so it can be used in conjunction with panadol etc!;)

You will need

2 cloves ground
1 small green apple (green tastes sweeter)
1 small square of muslin cloth (available at most material shops)
1 piece of brown string

Grate the Apple and mix with the cloves place into centre of the muslin cloth and then tie up into a 'money bag' with the brown string.

Give to bub to chew on and the cloves will help to numb the gums. ;)
