Hi Girls - Happy New Year!!
Firstly - A Huge Congratulations to Jess and Mardi. What an awesome christmas present!! And about time too lol. Details Girls????
Hails - :babydust2: for you. We are also trying here for real too. I got a lovely visit from Aunty Flo on xmas day for the first time since before TTC the first time so all systems are a go. How exciting huh?
Cora - Happy Birthday for yesterday! It sounds like you have had a super busy holiday season. Yay for Myles getting around now. I bet there will be no stopping him now. I cant wait to catch up again soon.
LBB - I feel your pain again on an unsettled bub at night. Poppy is def teething and has a lovely red bum to show for it the poor chook. She is having really acidic poos. I guess four teeth at once will do it though. April sounds like she didnt need a visit from santa, playing with everything but her toys!
Meggs - :hugs: People can be big arses! I dont have friends on fb that I see on a regular basis apart from the mummies that I meet up with. As much as I like it for networking etc I can see how it can go pear shaped pretty quick. I'm not really on it enough though. Our April group is pretty safe and we love you here Meggs! I look forward to seeing more posts from you.
Missus S - Poppy has been forward facing for about a month now ever since she hit 8kg. She helps me drive by making car noises. Very helpful :laughing:. I have tilted the seat back just a little bit so it is still comfortable for her to sleep if she wants to.
Isn't it always the way with specialist appointments. I hope little Max gets sorted with his allergies soon. I also hope he doesn't have coeliac disease. Good luck with the appointment on the 10th.
CK - :hugs: Daycare is a necessary evil I reckon! It is soooo hard leaving them - more so for us then them I think. Millie will be fine :)
Well, chrissie in the 'I' household went really well. Poppy was spoiled rotten and has a whole new toybox full of toys that sit idly by while she plays with the remote control.... The poor chook is teething like mad at the moment. She has finally cut one of her top teeth and has 3 more coming through. I dont know what it is at the moment but every time I look at Poppy I think how lucky I am to have her. She is just such a joy and so happy all the time. I find it hard to believe she is mine :goodvibes: Must be the clucky hormones.
We were very naughty yesterday (thank you Mr Rudd) and went out and brought a new i Mac with a 20 inch screen. OMG it is sooooo much better than a PC! No pop ups, no lagging no problems! Woot lol. Can you tell I love it???
I am calling my old bosses on Monday to see if they will have me back hehehe. TBH I cant really be bothered looking for a new job when I know that it wont really compare to my old one. Depending on how many days are available at the day care centre I may go back full time. We will have to see. I am actually looking forward to going back now. I really dont think I was ready when I went back earlier. Hopefully they will have me back. It will just mean working in the city again which I am in two minds about. I have found a good local child care center for Poppy so hopefully it all falls into place.
Well, I better get off the computer and spend some time with my husband lol.

I lost my bubba in dec, so was very thankful to have moving and a holiday to keep my mind off things, its soooo hard, but i had senced something wasnt right even in the very beginning so its not as hard as really bonding with bubs!!
anyway thats it from me for now, we just got home so have to unpack the house (we dumped all our stuff and went to shepparton lol)

MissesS, I can't remember when I put Myles forward facing cause it was a while ago, but I think it was either 5 or 6 months. He was to long and his feet were up against the back seat so I had to turn him. He has been way more comfortable and alot happier now. He loves watching everyone in the car.
QTB, I am sorry about your pregnancy, it must have be hard even though you knew somethign wasn't right.
WOH your going back to work, thats great. Are you putting your kidlets into day care or have you got someone to look after them at home?
Aimee didn't start crawling till about 10 months and walking (on her own without holding on) till around 15 or 16 months. Anyway as Myles started crawling at 5 months, alot earlier than Aims, I thought everything would be happening earlier, but he's been crawling all over the place now for almost 5 months and hasn't tried standing or anything, is that wierd??? I think its wierd cause when i lift him he always tries to stand on the floor and can hold his weight well and steps in walking motion, but still no effort to do it himself. Mind you I am not worried or upset about it, he is so much trouble just crawling, i think life would be 100 times harder if he was walking. He is in the freezer, every drawer, likes chewing wires and plugs. My hands are really full with him right now, if he was walking and standing, nothing would be safe hahahahaha.
I took down the christmas decorations yesterday so mylo can now crawl all over the house again and not confined to the playpen. before I could only let him out if I was free to keep my eye on him.
I bought my last 4 tins of milk the other week. Only 2 more months and I am done with formula and bottles forever, can't wait. He's been drinking out of a sippy cup now since around 5 months or so but I still give his milk in a baby bottle, probably in the mext month or so I will start giving the milk in a sippy cup and at 12 months I will probably stop bottles altogether and it will be cows milk in a sippy cup. Can't wait. I hate doing all the scoops and stuff, I am so lazy hahahahahaha.
Gosh I was just thinking as I wrote that, I should have dropped the day time bottle by now shouldn't I? He's almost 10 months and still has 3 bottles, thats terrible isn't it, I just got stuck in the routine and forgot to move it on..if you know what I mean. I am going to have to work out now how to drop that daytime bottle.
Now that I have created more work for myself I better go.

ANGROC - Yay for work. Sounds like you've been doing some serious planning. Hope things all work out. Poppy sounds like such a dream bubby. I love hearing mums talking about their babies with that gushy all adoring tone. I think that's the way all mummies should be.
MEGGS - I feel a little sad when I see you've dissappeared of FB. Your comments are still on my page but you just come up and annoymous. Still - I really hope it's working better for you and I support you 100% in your 'do what makes you happy approach to life'. Hope Ems is doing well.
SM- Hi there. Hope things are doing well at ur place. Myles sounds like such a grown up bubba now. Yay for getting rid of bottles - I fully understand - I'm already counting down.

Well, here's me back on BH again. Must be getting back into the swing of it. Georgie is wonderful. She is my commando crawling bub. Gets all over the house and has lost all her baby chubbs due to the excercise.
I've just realised I simple adore babies in bonds suits. (taken me 3 to work it out). I love the look of them in those stripey cute little bonds numbers. So innocent and adorable. I've just bough Georgie one of those funny ones with the bum flap in a size 0. She looks good enough to eat.
Life here is doing well. Busy busy with 3 kids - but wouldn't change a thing.

I'm so happy for you and Jess. Being engaged was great, being married (is really no different but it's also great cause I hated my old signiture, my new one is so much better:laughing:).

SILLYSIDEUP - I'm happy to hear that life is going so well. 2 older kids and a cammando crawling bubs must be keeping you on your toes!! lol.
SPARKLYMUM - I know how you feel. I'm just counting down the days until I can give Ryder milk straight out of the fridge.
He is still having up to 4 - 5 bottles a day. He's still not liking his finger food yet but once our highchair arrives it will be easier for us to feed him. (at the moment we're doing it on our laps - not working so well).

Dh took us for a surprise trip to Bright yesterday. It was beautiful weather. we walked up and down the little shopping district eating icecream, it was a really enjoyable day. He's not often spontanious so it was pleasantly different.
Hi Girls hope you all had a great Christmas and New Years… I’m hoping this year brings us some luck and a BFP.. I am booked in to see the FS on the 5th Feb to find out when I can have my FET YAY so excited although wishing it was sooner.. Noah got spoilt at Christmas so many toys, he is doing the worm around the house with a little bit of crawling in between.. Oh didn’t tell you girls I got my tattoo’s done before xmas I got Noah on my arm and another star in memory of my bubba I lost in December, I will have to post a photo on FB
MissusS - That’s a shame you didn’t get much more information from the Dr who costs a fortune, hopefully they sort things out sooner rather then later with Max’s little belly.. I have had Noah’s car seat turned around since he was 4months old he loves it

Meggs - Things were pretty busy before xmas i was working 9 nights straight and was to tired through the day. We just got back the other day from our holiday down the south coast.. Glad you liked emmys pressie

QTB - :hugs: Sorry to hear your sad news. Our intuition is amazing at times isn't it.
Well we tried Max with a tiny amount of pumpkin last night and so far so good (apart from being a bit more awake during the night last night which I'm hoping wasn't related). But it really was the tiniest bit............plus he wasn't too keen on opening his mouth for me so I'm not sure how much actually went down. That's why its important that he starts eating now so he learns the coordination skills needed to eat. Anyway, we have the dietician appointment this Saturday.
He's also teething so much at the moment.......so many of the top ones coming.
I'm just enjoying my last week of holidays now.........the weather is so fab at the moment, its great :sunshine:
sparkleymum - I hear you on the bottles! Gem's 2.5 and still has 2 per day so we constantly wash bottles morning and night for her and Max............it's insane!
Angroc - How's the iMac going?? I'm very jealous :yes: Don't feel bad about spending the Rudd bonus on it..........he did say to spend it and not what on. I have friends that work in pubs & mobile phone stores and they said it was the busiest week ever that week so it must have worked. We'll get ours later this year when we've done our tax.
SSU - Bonds stuff is the best. We just have a few stripey T-shirts for Max and they are just adorable on him :D

Hi everyone, just popping on quickly since - as of today - I'm officially a working mother again. :no::no:
Evie has had her first day of daycare today and has coped with it just beautifully. She had a couple of good sleeps, and even drank two bottles of formula. I'm especially thrilled about the bottles, since she only decided to drink from a bottle this time last week.
Work was OK, but different. I haven't worn a uniform at work in almost five years. Of course mine didn't fit me, so I had to wear DP's man shirts, but I don't think anyone noticed. I'd forgotten how nice it can be to have conversations with adults and how liberating it is to feel like a coffee and actually drink it while it's still hot. That being said, I missed both my babies so much today and rang daycare twice to check on them.:o
Sorry for the me me me post, but I'm still trying to get my head around this back to work business. I've got a fair bit to do before tomorrow.
Hopefully when things are more organised I can get back on for proper personals.
Oh, and thanks for the engagement well wishes. DP (can't get my head around DF) and I have been together so long it feels a little bit silly to be really excited by it all.
MissusS - I am hearing you on the teething front Noah is exactly the same he has top teeth so close to coming through they have been like that for a week and hurting Noah a bit.. Hope the dietician gives you some good news!
Will & Evie - So glad Evie enjoyed daycare it does make it a little easier.. How many days are you back at work? Even though you and DP have been together for ages you still should be as excited as you are xx
Mardi - DH and I were together for almost 7 years before he finally popped the question. Getting excited is sooo not silly. Congratulations again :) I am glad Evie decided to take the bottle. It can get a bit stressful when you want something to happen with them but they dont necessarily agree haha.
Mel - :hugs: So sorry for your loss. As you said, you know when something just doesnt feel right hey. Here :babydust2: are some more sticky vibe for you when you are ready. How is the new house? How nice is it being able to call your house your own??? Did Dan find another job?
Missus S - It is good Max took the pumpkin. Have you tried giving him rusks? That may help get the chewing motion happening without the ingestion of any or much food. Hopefully his teeth come through soon, teething sucks! I looovvveee the Mac! OMG it is so much better than a pc. We have used all of our broadband allowance this month and even with dial up it is still faster than our old pc.
Noah's Mum - You must be happy for a break now that the xmas season is over. A friend also works in retail and has been run off her feet too. So much for the economic downturn! How did your appointment go yesterday?
Meggs - When Emmy wakes at night does she make little moaning noises before hand? Poppy has been doing this too and I have been wondering if she was having nightmares... I wonder what babies have nightmares about???
We have been doing pretty well here. I called my old bosses yesterday to see if they had anything going and am hoping to hear from them today. I would love to go back to my old job but have a feeling it isnt going to work out. They also just hired an office junior. Will have to wait and see...
Now that Poppy has top teeth she has started grinding them together. OMG it is the worst noise I have ever heard. I am worried she is grinding them as fast as they are growing! She has also started shaking her head 'no'. We were talking this morning asking her if she wanted toast or wheat bix for brekky, both of which were 'no', then I asked her if she wanted her baby cereal and she smiled. How cool is that?? My girl is very clever lol.
We are just having a quiet day today, hanging around the phone. I guess I will have to work on my resume depending on the outcome, bah!

Hey Ladies,
I have been a very naughty April mummy and have really only been lurking. I have been flat out at work. Retail is not a good place to work over the Xmas season. The money has been fantastic though.
I have about 2 mins left on the computer then I have to get cleaning ( I am giving myself 15 minute blocks of computer time haha)
I hope everyone is going really well.
Congrats to our girls that got engaged....such an exciting time. Enjoy the wedding preps...I had so much fun planning our wedding.

US - Charlotte is doing really well....we have 5 teeth...she is crawling but its like so weird wounded soldier 1 legged crawl :laughing: but I guess that is better than nothing.

Sounds like Poppy is getting all her teeth at once! Hopefully the grinding teeth thing is just a phase. How great that she is really starting to communicate with you that is soooo clever!
Oh & I think one thing babies have nightmares about vaccum cleaners!!! April was watching my dad vaccum clean & she just sat there petrified unable to move. The poor little thing was shaking like a leaf.

About FB - perhaps remove people who are not your friends & go back. You shouldn't let them scare you away from something you enjoy! Would be good if you could block them so you can't see any of your comments & vice-versa.

I am thinking about going back to part-time work as I am starting to feel ready to leave April for a little while (2-3 days per week) & want to start really working forward again with both my career & financially. I've always had a job since I finished school so it has been somewhat surreal not having to work for so long. I will be sad & apprehensive to leave April but I really want to make sure she has the best future possible & I won't be able to ensure that staying soley on centrelink payments.
April's dad & I are on the road to somewhat recovery. He says he realises what he has done wrong (this admission is amazing in it's self) & he will change but he has said this before! Lets just say I will believe it when I see it & I am continuing to stay at dads until it has been proven to me. At least we are civil though & that makes life 100% easier.
Anyway I am off to have a nap & then maybe duck down to the shops to spend some Christmas gift vouchers. Times a wasting April will be back soon, gotta go....

Ang - Poppy is such a clever girl wow!!!! How did your job go any news? I think babies can have nightmares a little while ago i thought em was cause for a few nights she wouldnt go to sleep in her cot without screaming yet if i put her in bed with me no probs but i dont want her getting used to it so we persevered with the cot and it only lasted a few nights DH is great at getting her to sleep so patient hehe... but she is still waking but not sure why...
Mardi - am glad to hear Evie is doing well in CC it is a hard thing to leave them but such a relief to hear when all is going well...hope work is getting easier too, i plan to go back 2 days a week this yr casual and dreading it will be a hard adjustment.....

We are going well, Emmy is crawling properly now and quickly and into everything she shouldnt be:yes: and now can pull herself up to standing considering she only starting sitting by herself a couple of weeks ago it is pretty fast work :laughing: still only 2 teeth but sure more are close to coming through...im really loving being a mum and hoping to start TTC #2 mid year....

Wow all this TTC talk is making me nostalgic. There will not be any more additions to this house of pink - but I do feel a little sad when I hear you all talking and know I'm not going there again!! All my best wishes to those of you planning or trying - it's such a magical wonderful thing!!
Ladybugblue - thanks for the heads up. Ur little April is an absolute doll!! Go the bonds stuff. I'm making the most of it while for the last few remaining months of having a baby! (They'll be one so very soon).
Will&Evie'smum - hope ur settling back in at work and getting back into the swing of things.
Missus S - I didn't realise you were having so much trouble with the food alergies. I think I was lasting chatting to you pre-food and you were hoping thigns would be ok. Hope things improve quickly. Did Gemm grow out of hers?
OK - just a quicky - it's nearly time to put the big girls to bed. Georgie went down at 6.30pm Woot woot!!!! I've been up with Ms nearly 3 for the past 2 nights. She has a bit of a cold and gets a cough at night. She is a bit of a mummy addict and wants me around all the time (even at night) when she is unwell.

SSU - Gem was fine when she started solids.............she is fine with everything except for dairy. Max so far has reacted to soy, rice cereal, sweet potato, pear & potato.............so basically right now he's not of any type of food. However an update - I tried him on Pumpkin for 2 days this week but he wouldn't open his mouth for me so it was a struggle to get much in, however he had no diarrhorea from what we did get in so I thought I may try something sweet to get him a bit more keener to open his mouth. Yesterday I tried him on a bit of apple and no diarrhorea again, so today I gave him about a teaspoon of apple again. :fingerscrossed: this may be the start of him finally starting to eat OK.
meggs - How exciting that you'll be TTC again soon
LBB - Glad to hear that things with April's Dad are improving. Hope you had fun shopping. We went shopping today and gotta love it when all the sales are on
LilMrsC - Think I'm seriously going to limit my puter time soon too. I'm OK this week as I'm on holidays but I'm back to work next week when time will become extremely precious again :yes: I know what you mean about Charlotte's crawl.............Max does it sometimes too
Angroc - Yeah I guess I could buy some of the vegetable rusks for now (we've been told to have him on a gluten, dairy, soy free diet). But he's pretty good teething...........I can just see that they are coming through up the top. Max loves shaking his head too..............these babies are definitely smarter than we think. I remember reading when Gem was 12 months old that at that age they really can understand most of what we are telling them and its true, amazing really! Good luck on the job front.
Will&Evie - So glad that Evie was OK with her childcare.............makes it a lot less stressful for you
Got 2 child-free days the next couple of days...........so got a list of things to do before another crazy weekend. Then its back to work in full-swing so will be busy, busy, busy :o

Yea hopefully the crawling will tucker her out!? So when she wakes up does she stand at the railing of the cot? April does that and I have to get up and lay her back down. As soon as I leave her she's back up again! She even does this when she is almost asleep or she will wake up like 5 mins after I thought she was asleep & do it, it's like an unavoidable reaction, she must do it! So annoying!

I have been a naughty lil April mum to not posting.
I am selling avon now and having 3 3 and under makes time a real issue.
Charllette is crawling now it's a funny crewl with one leg straight out the side. It's crewling nun the less.
She has 2 bottom teeth, and can say mum mum mum. Usually when she wants booby lol.

Me I have had my second AF on the 28th of Dec. My first cycle was like over 2 months long so god knows whats happening there. Where not trying in the true sense of the word but where not using anything either. We both know it could happen.
Will try to start keeping up as of today. So personals to follow :fingerscrossed:. Though if I disapear for 4 days it's just DH's days of and he getting ****ty if im on here much lol.
I didn't end up shopping. Went to bed & slept :o
Yea hopefully the crawling will tucker her out!? So when she wakes up does she stand at the railing of the cot? April does that and I have to get up and lay her back down. As soon as I leave her she's back up again! She even does this when she is almost asleep or she will wake up like 5 mins after I thought she was asleep & do it, it's like an unavoidable reaction, she must do it! So annoying!
Sleeping is great that is what i would do too:)
That is exactly what em does, especially when putting her to bed, she used to just go straight to sleep but not now she can stand... glad im not the only one hehe...
Just wanted to ask what are people planning for 1st birthdays? 3mths really isnt that long and im keen to start planning but dont know what to do....

hi girls.. ive been run down and emotions running wild. came very close to having a 4th bout of mastitis but dealing with it ealry has helped me with recovery. rubys so fast crawling and walking along couches im struggling with both on the move even with dh home.. YIKES.. i'll be up sh!t creak without a paddle when he goes back to tafe me thinks.

were trying to clean the house a bit and getting organised for our move.. its hard with 2 and getting no help from anyone.. not even my aunt who said she would help because she knows about autism.. grrr family. ARGH
meggs - for rubys first birthday im planning to just invite a few friends. (mainly from the hub :o) and i know where i want to hold it so yeah just hopeing for good weather
LBB - Poppy hates vacuum cleaners too - just goes into hysterics when I start it up. She never used to be like that, it is just a new development over the last couple of weeks. Who knows... Poppy also does the standing at the side of her cot yelling at me to come and get her, even when she is dead tired, frustrating huh? Just Good luck with your job search. Are you going back to your old job or looking for a new one?
Meggs - I havent heard from my old job yet. I have a feeling it wont work out. I will have to wait and see. I resigned from there in November with no intention of going back and now I have called them asking for work again lol. Emmy sounds like she is doing well. It sounds like we will have a few more pregnancy's this year from April mums, very cool :) I have no idea what we will be doing for Poppy's first birthday yet. My mum and SDad will be living here by then so I guess a big family and friends party :) It is my mum's 50th that month also so it will be a big month for parties for us.
SSU - I hope your DD feels better soon, having a sick child is horrible.
Missus s - yay for max taking more solids. I hope he continues to take food without too many problems. I certainly dont envy your situation. It makes you realise how lucky you are when your child has no health problems. You seem to be coping really well with it. I suppose having a few similar issues with Gem has kind of prepared you.
Bex - Charllette is very clever being able to say mum. We have been trying here for ages and Poppy just wont say it. We get 'ta' and Dad' and 'aahhh' (I think that one is mum lol) but not 'mum'.
S&Rmum - Ooh, I dont envy you moving. I cant believe your family isnt helping you! Are you still going to be living in the same area or will you be moving to another suburb? It is good you caught your mastitis early. I never suffered from it thank goodness but I have heard it is extremely painful.
I had better scoot. I have Poppy in her highchair eating morning tea watching bear in the big blue house getting cranky at me now because she wants me to go and play with her :) Oh, we were watching abc kids yesterday and Fraggle Rock is on in the afternoons now. You younger mums might not know it but it is a really cool Jim Hensen (The Muppets) show.

Seth and Ruby's mum- Year boobie monster is getting a lil old now. Just want to get more than a couple hours in a row. Im sorry your feeling stressed. DH doesn get gome till after 7 when hes on day shift. I can struggle then cause I gotta do the dinner and all the other arvo evening stuff on my own. Theres usually crying myschief and some yelling lol.
QTB- Im sorry for your loss. :hugs: big hugs. Nature is amazing it knows when something isn quite right. It obviously let you know to.
Noahs mum- :fingerscrossed: you don't need the FS. When is your next testing date. I am kinda hoping I get :bfp: on the 28th. DH hates planning so it's kinda a not spoken about but known it might happen thing. Im not getting my hopes up cause Charllette is such a booby monster lol. I wanted to loose some weight first but I haven had any prob with my weight affecting a pg yet so i'll stay on a diet and it will happen or I will loose some more weight it's win win either way lol.
Angrog- I kinda remeber Fragel rock. I think it went of before I was old enough to have any real memories of it. Both DS's went through the hating the vaccum cleaner stage now they wanna vaccum all the time. Im like just let go I just wanna get this done and be done with it lol.
Meggs- All my kids Bday's have been friends families and food. (DS1 had an animal farms for his 2nd) I have DS1 on th 8th of Dec, DS2 on the 24th of Jan and Charbear on the 26th of March. We have moved to adelaide and my lil bubbas have/ are missing out cause we don't know anyone. Charllette didn't even get a naming day at 4 months like the boys did. I just didn have anyone to invite. :(

S&Rmum, good luck with your move. I must admit i dont really understand your issue with your family as I have never been throught it but I do notice you feel upset about their lack of help and support alot. Do you think that maybe they are supportive of you but they are just treating you like an adult, sort of like their parents did to them. You know when you leave home and have your own family you are now the leader of that house so they are not interfering and letting you lead your own family and deal with your own affairs. Do you know what I mean? Maybe they dont realise you expect help with kiddies or packing.
When we packed up our life to move here (and it was such a HUGE thing with closing bank accounts, visas, legal stuff plus the actual packing) no one in my family offered to help. I did it all myself, but I am sure if I had asked for help they would certainly have given it.
Just something to think about, I am sure they don't realise you expect help and if they knew they would help you.
YEAH, I finally got rid of the daytime bottle. Its such a relief, no more milk (well just with breakie and one bottle before bed). I decided instead of weaning it out like a night feed I would just stop it, so I did a few days ago. I gave him a jam sandwich and slice of cheese instead and he loves it.
No other news here, I am TIRED, up too late at night and too early in the morning!!!

I think we will be cleaning up (rental inspection this week) that reminds me....is it kosher for real estates to inspect every three months? I thought it was every 6? It is starting to get on my nerves not because of cleaning it is pretty good anyway but just the hassle of it.... you would think after 18mths that we would get some leniency but nope...oh well!!!
Anyway ill be around this morning while DH is at work...

Sparkley - Can I ask did Myles love his milk, Noah still has 3 bottles a day 2 x 120mls and 1 x 180 before bed he loves his milk, I found it a little hard dropping his afternoon bottle I did replace it with more food although it took Noah a week to realise that bottle wasn’t coming back
No news here from us I’m back at Weight watchers on Tuesday after missing quite a few weeks I finally reached my goal weight before xmas and went on to loose another 1.5kgs but after all the **** I have eaten and the amount of drinking over xmas and new years I’m not looking forward to Tuesday

Not too much to report here
Ryder has another tooth. He has his two bottom teeth now which is so cute.
Yesterday I could of sworn he started saying Mum mum mum mum over and over again. It's actually more of wub wub wub so we don't really know what he's trying to say. I reackon its BUB BUB BUB.
Today he let go of the couch and just stood there for about 10 seconds before free falling. Yesterday he even tried to take a step!!! Where has my baby gone???
DH goes back to work on Monday. It's going to be strange. I've gotten so used to him being home and helping out. Oh well, holidays can't last forever (unless of course we win the lottery:laughing:)
I got my hair done yesterday and feel so refreshed. I was having more then my share of ugly days so now i'm back to looking gorgeous - lol!!!
Sometimes all you need to feel better is a new cut and colour!!
We're having a bbq tonight. A send off for my brother who is going back home tomorrow. Should be good.

We just bought a new hoover bagless from godfreys.. for $99.. grrr and now less than a week later they're advertising them now for $59 .... he makes sooo much noise now with the new one competing for noise levels... we dont know whats louder!

I'm sorry for not bein online in ages as our net cut out and we have just got it back!
But yes we are thinking Winter 2010 for our wedding but just got some details on the engagement party down tonight, we had the big dinner with both sets of parents.
Sorry for no personals just so tired right now Evie hasn't been sleeping again so feel like a zombie atm.
Evie is going great guns, she is so close to walking and is standing for minutes on end by herself, she crawls so quickly and is climbing stairs and basically anything she can try lol, she waves and says dad dad and mum mum and is oh so independent.
Mel big big :hugs: sweety am sorry to hear the news am glad that you had moving to keep you preoccupied.

Its Monday!!!
Wow, what a busy weekend! We went to a friends birthday bash on Saturday which took up most of the day and yesterday we re oiled our deck, cleaned our office and hired a carpet cleaner and cleaned our carpets. Well, all but one room, the stupid machine wouldn't start for the last room. We have it for free again next weekend so we can do it then. It always feels good to get stuff done around the house. I don't think we would have got as much done if my sister wasn't looking after Poppy for the day though :)
Jess - Details please :D Do you think the full moon has something to do with Evie's sleep patterns? I am convinced it does with Poppy. She has terrible sleeps whenever there is a full moon for about 3 or 4 nights in a row, waking constantly through the night. It is sooo exhausting. Last night the poor chook was up every half hour :hair: It doesnt help that she has a bit of a cold at the moment either.
TGO - Its great news that Nate seems to be getting a bit better. I love the new theme for his room. Great price too.
Hails - Did you change the style of your hair or just have a bit of a pamper session? Ryder sounds very confident standing by himself.
Meggs - Wow, rental inspections every 3 months do seem a bit excessive, especially being as you have lived there for 18mths now. It may be at the request of the landlord. My Dad has a few properties and sometimes requests that inspections be carried out on a more regular basis on some properties due to having bad tenants in there previously. It may not have anything to do with you but bad experiences for the landlord in the past.
Sparkley - Does Myles have milk in his sippy cup now? Poppy would not be impressed with me if I took away any of her bottles. She is still having 5 (yes 5) 180ml bottles a day as well as 3 meals and morning and afternoon tea. I think I am going to have to reduce them soon though. I dont want it to become an issue when it comes time to wean. I would love to know where she puts it all, she is still only 8.3kg.
Bex - Good for you still BF'ing :) I would have loved to keep going but I think we were both ready to give it up when we did. It sounds really busy in your house. I come from a family of 3 kids and loved the chaos around that time of the day. It is a bit different when you are the mum though :laughing:

Popp's has just crashed out on her little couch. She isn't due for a sleep until midday so I know she is really not feeling well. I will keep an eye on her today and see how she goes. If she is still the same tomorrow, off to the doctor we go.

Well we are going well...DH is finally getting his company car today so very excited after waiting a yr and him working so hard to get it, 2 cars will really make a difference! I also went to the travel agent to book our flights to Canada this year so Emmy can meet her Grandpa and aunt sooooo excited!!!! My mum arrives this weekend which will be lovely ive missed her and looking forward to using my birthday vouchers from last yr finally! Bring on some pampering:)
Emmy is crawling out of this world and pulling herself up onto everything she slept til 8am this morning so :fingerscrossed: she does it again!!!

NoahsMum, yes, Myles does love his milk, but he also loves his food. He also LOVES holding it and feeding himself, stuff like babybel cheese, or coon slices, little sandwishes (made with one slice of bread), when has has those snacks between meals he'll drink about half a cup of water.
TGO, there isn't any definitive amount of milk a baby must be drinking at this age, there are guidlelines you can follow, but it all depends on how much they actually eat. Remember Myles started solid food very early so has been eating meals for a long time. If I fed him 4 or 5 bottles on top of 3 full meals and 1 snack he'd explode from overfeeding. It's a natural progression that all our bubs will eventually be eating solid meals and dropping bottles. I think the important thing is they are getting all the nutrients they need whether they are still on lots of bottles or mainly solid food and by 12 months are well established on solid feeds.
Ang, no, i have chickened out of using the sippy cup for his milk. I think I will wait another 2 months so he gets that comfort thing from the bottle before bed until 12 months old. Although aimee had a bottle before bed until she was 18 months......
We're all fine, Myles has been a terrible grump for the last two day, yesterday I was a bit worried I have never seen him scream like that, it looked like his insides were being ripped appart and he was screaming in pain. If he hadn't calmed by bedtime I was going to go to the hospital incase it was something serious but at about 6pm he started calming down and then went to bed and slept till 6.30am this morning. He's a bit upset today but not that bad and his colour is back in his face. Its really wierd, no idea what was wrong.
Well there is nothing exciting happening in our house to report, same old thing. hahaha.
Noah 2 toothy pegs finally came through yesterday after 2 weeks of teasing him they are finally out, it’s a top and side one, now he has the other top and side ones teasing him…

Cora - I wonder what was wrong with Myles? Weird. Maybe he was constipated or just having an off day. There is a full moon at the moment too. I know it plays havoc with Poppy :) Lol, i'm obsessed with the full moon haha.
We are doing a bit better here today thankfully. Poppy is much better. She pretty much would not let me go at all yesterday and had a temp all day. She kept cuddling up to me and falling asleep on my chest. She also did a huge spew on me and all over the just cleaned carpet :rolleyes: but seemed to perk up after that. Hopefully that was it.
We just have to potter around the house and go out and pick up a few things today. I am looking after my nephew for the school hols again. He loves playing with Poppy which is great. I wasnt sure how well he would interact with her as there is an eight year difference, but he dotes on her. It is nice knowing she has another protector.

Ange – Sounds like you had a good weekend! LOL hmmm all the details lol it basically went like this lol It happened on the 30th Dece Matt told me he had to go upto to Melbourne to "fix a store" for work but picked up the ring, came home (on the way stopping to give me a pandora charm) gave me the pandora charm when he got home as a xmas gift from Evie and smarty me says "you could've put something else in it" and then he said "well I spoke to your dad today cause I wanted to ask him if I could give you this" he then pulled out the box (couldn't get down on one knee cause Evie would scream when he tried) and asked me if I would marry him to which ofcourase I replied yes :D OH no good about the clingyness, oh no about the carpet lol it always happens like that doesn’t it, hopefully the chuck got whatever was yucky out of her. That is so cute about your nephew!
It could possible be due to the full moon, I haven’t actually thought of that but is highly possible (especially since she has gone back to sleeping ok) How is Poppy’s sleeping going now?
Meggs – Will definitely keep you girls up to date, biggest project is the reception / photographer and band and I am so bamboolozed lol I am definitely taking it easy at the moment which is great! You must be so excited about Canada so jealous! And you must be so happy you are a two car family now! LOL it’s so hot here and I’m going insane!!!
Noah’s Mum – OH yay two teeth how cute, hopefully those other two don’t tease him for so long!
Well as for us, Evie is going great guns she is now starting to shuffle across while standing up :O so I think she’ll be walking soon ahhhh so not ready for that lol! Wedding planning is going ok, my mum is making go blah and bridezilla because she doesn’t really listen to me and my mum and I are like chalk and cheese and she is very controlling (don’t know if you girls remember with my baby shower) but am putting my foot down! But apart from that we’re just plodding along, have given up on Uni this semester with the interent being down and griffith stuffing me around I’m just going to go back next study period!
Well it’s gonna be a scoarcher here today 39 not looking forward to it as we don’t have A/C and I have to go out to get things for nibbles tonight for my tupperware party! Speak to you all soon

Hey girls
MEGGS and ANGROC - I had a pamper session (way overdue mind you) and as I haven't been light in years, I have decided to go gradually lighter.
I had my hair cut up to my shoulders with a blunt fringe (Something different I wanted to try, which I love). I went a light brown / dark blonde colour with Blonde foils through it to lighten it up. It looks and feels great - I haven't had an ugly day since :D
MEGGS - I wrote a message on your facebook (I thought you weren't going to use it anymore:p).
My brother sent me a message this morning. He lives on the strand in an apartment facing the beach about a block away from the rockpool, Cold Rock Icecream is almost diagional from his apartment.
He was saying that it's raining so hard he couldn't even see the ocean from his apartment!
He's in the army so he's on call for the flooded areas (when the Cyclone went through Innisfail he had to attend to that and help the clean up).
Send some down this way, we drastically need it.
ANGROC - I'm glad to hear that it seems Poppy is well on her way to recovery. It seems like she has a fan in her Cousin. There's nothing wrong in that!! lol!!
NOAH'S MUM - Wow two teeth!! Poor kid! Atleast they are through now so can leave him alone. :fingerscrossed: these next couple come through much quicker.

I haven't given Ryder any cheese yet. No one in our family has ever been allergic to dairy, Do you think it would be all right if I did??
JESS - Sounds like you have your hands full with little Evie.
She's going to be walking soon by the sounds of it! Isn't it still amazing? I was looking at newborn photo's of Ryder the other day and in comparison I have no idea where my baby has gone.
I've got a terrible two in the making!
(You definetly put your foot down. Remember, she has had her day - her way! You have the right to have your day the way you want it. If you don't agree with something, say so. She should respect your wishes and listen to you. If not sit her somewhere stupid:p).
JESS and MARDI - With your wedding plans just take it one step at a time. It all comes together in the end. It's easier if you focus on venue, reception and celebrant at the beginning.
Once that's all sorted then look at transport, bands / music, and photgraphers (if you're going to have them). I had a friend take the ceremony pictures and put a couple disposable cameras on the receptions tables so the guests could take the photos. Cheap and easy and you don't miss a thing. They are all natural and not too posey.
Pick Bridesmaids and Groomsmen. Find your wedding gown and their dresses / suits - work out if you want to buy / hire. (Don't forget shoes).
Book hair and makeup in advance so you won't be stuck for options. Organise Wedding Cake.
Organise invitations
Leave the bonboneire and ceremony flowers to the last because they are the easiest (well where for me).

As for us, well DH went back to work yesterday. After having him home for so long it was weird not to have him around yesterday although we did have a pretty productive day.
Ryder is getting more and more cheeky as each day passes. He runs from you now if you catch him doing something he's not meant to be doing. (playing with the powerpoints, opeing drawers, knocking things off shelfs and so on). He gives you a big grin and then goes for the hills.
He is sleeping really well again. 8:30pm through to 6 - 7am. I'm finding I have a lot more energy during the day now.
I don't want to get my hopes up but I think I may be pregnant.
When I fell pregnant with Ryder (and before I knew about it)
-I suffered from horrible migrain type headaches daily.
- Constant period pain
- Painful Stitches in my side
so far I am suffering with all of these. It's only been the past 4 days that these symptoms have started and I'm starting to wonder more and more if I am.
I'm not going to test yet, just wait for a few more weeks (If I can last that long. It may be more of a mind game so as I said, I don't want to get my hopes up.
:fingerscrossed: for me though and for all the other mums trying to conceive.

Yeah I have been at weight watchers for about 3 months I have reached my goal weight of 66kg and suppose to maintaining it but I have actually lost more weight I’m down to 64.2kgs and suppose to have 3 more weeks of maintenance to become a life time member.. Charlotte is doing well. She is crawling, pulling herself up and onto everything. We have found that her fave word is Mum so she yells it all day, everyday haha. I think I might change my name to Dad for a while lol.
Well I guess I should go. I am trying to finish my application to become an Aussie Citizen....I have to take the citizenship test tomorrow haha...

It's been busy in here!
Mills has been doing good at daycare - a bit whingey yesterday but settles quickly. She refuses to take a bottle :rolleyes: so is skipping her midday feeds now, but is eating lunch. I can't wait for 12 months for cows milk. She has it OK in cheese and yoghurts already.
Good luck to the WW girls - I went back when Millie was 5 monthish and am a LTM. It's such a good program!

Ang, are those hire carpet cleaners good? Our carpet is just gross - but DP is all blah blah they are useless but he's never even tried them :rolleyes:

CK - The carpet cleaners are great. You would think vacuuming all the time would keep them pretty clean but the amount of dirt that came out was just gross! I was a bit iffy about them to begin with too. The good thing is that if the carpets are pretty dirty you can go over them a couple of times :) Millie sounds like she is doing well. How is her weight gain going?
LilMrsC - You made me laugh when you said you wanted to change your name to dad for a while. It's funny that we try to get our bub's to say all of these words and when they do it is just non stop lol. Charlotte sounds georgous.
Noah's Mum - Wow, 6 top teeth! Poppy has only just got her first two top teeth. I was beginning to despair that she was always going to be a gummy bub :)
Meggs - ooh, shopping in Toronto! We dropped sooo much cash there. I love the main street, I cant remember what it is called. There is an awesome place to go for brekky there called eggspectations, oh and have you checked out St Lawrence Market? We spent heaps of time there one day and pigged out. So many yummy food places. How I am not 150kg I dont know lol.
Jess - Your engagement sounds very sweet. I can imagine how nervous our partners must get before asking hehe. Did you have any idea what he was doing?

Seth has been flinching when ruby touches him and hes only touching ruby when hes in the mood and even then its a bob on the head like his robot that sings abc.. im going to kill the person who gave that to me lol.
hes not speaking but babbling since rubys babling.. rubys saying dad and bub and one tooth with one on the way.. shes loving her boobies and not eating solids too well. but gaining weight and reaching milestones all in the normal time.
Early intervention starts feb cant wait.. we are no longer having safe car trips.. he'll start screaming if we put him in wrong or when dh does it. it has to be me. and during the drive if hes not happy he will unbuckle himself. :(

Meggs - i hope the rain didn't come back! thats one of the reasons why I moved to Brissy, used to live in Auckland, and boy can it get depressing when it doesn't stop raining!!!!
Liddy - I know she doesn't post in here any more, but congratulations!!! I hope the pregnancy is an easy one for you!
Elmofan - can't wait to hear all your updates!! Hope you get back here quick smart to do it! Thomas got heaps more elmo stuff for Christmas, and we're thinking an elmo theme for his birthday...
As for us, well, days keep travelling past..
I'm back at work now, two days a week, only do about 6 hours, unless its really busy. Did 8.5 last Monday... good for the money, not so great for me. 6 hours is good for me!!!
Thomas is doing really well. My Dh has him on the days that I work, and I think its only strenghtened their relationship, which is really good. he already loved him to pieces, but I think he really loves his daddy only time.
Thomas has four teeth now, and I think there must be another one on the way, the way he grizzled ALL day yesterday!
He has really mastered crawling, and finally sitting, wasn't that interested in sitting for ages, cos he had so much to do!! Now that he can crawl, and stand, he will sit for small periods of time. He loves standing though, and will pull himself up on anything even remotely stable (and lots of times things that aren't). We have one of those push walker activity things, which I tried him on around Christmas, and he couldn't quite get it, but my DH put him on it the other night, and off he went. My little man growing up!!!
Still have issues on the sleeping side of things, he now fights pretty much all sleep, but will still sleep in the car, so if it gets really bad, I'll just go for a drive! i can usually get him down during the day, it justs takes at least 30 minutes... At night, its easy. Boob = sleep.
I think thats about it from me for now, again hope all are going to have a great day today! i think something good is going to happen...:flowerz:

Not much on the job searching front for me. I found some OK full-time jobs but I am adamant I will not apply for these as I don't want to leave April that much just yet! I was quite suprised at how light the Careerone section of the newspaper felt in comparison to what I remember! Must be the global financial crises!?!?!
April is going great. She's power crawling everywhere & loving it. She pulls herself up on everything too. Still only has one tooth & still not sleeping through the night but I can deal with that.
I have started thinking about her 1st Birthday party. I wanna find a nice park in my area where I can have it. Haven't finalised a theme or anything yet but I still have time :p
Ok better get going & I will try to check back more often so I don't get left behind :yes:

TGO - Happy birthday for yesterday!! Whoo hoo - the big 24!! i'm freaking out about turning 25 even though it's not until November - lol!
Not much has been going on here. We took Ryder to the pool for the first time last week. He didnt' really enjoy the whole experience. I think it didn't help that the morning before he had fallen over in the bath tup whilst attempting to stand up!
There was no way he was going to let me float him on his back of anything, although he did have a great time watching DH splash around:yes:
No news from me yet regarding ttc. I took an early pregnancy test this morning and got :bfn:, I know really it's so early but I just couldn't help myself.
I reckon AF will arrive really soon but that's ok, because then the opportunity starts all over again. I did really want an October baby though;)
Wow, all you ladies all ready organising first Birthday parties. We're just going to have a nice family bbq at home with the extended family. Simple and casual. I'm not looking forward to when he actually wants a real "party".

Well Evie is standing and walking aided so much on the weekend she crawled up stairs (ten of them) at matts parents place which was interesting considering we don't have stairs and she did not hesitate even matts mum was impressed, so Evie is getting way too smart she is talking so much says dad, mum (while looking at both matt and I) and a heap of other sounds so cute!!! She is so close to walking and took her foot off today standing up by herself and nearly stepped but then decided against it lol....she has just discovered clapping and waves at everyone at hello and goodbye lol....'m one proud mumma thats for sure and quite happy wth just one at the moment, Matt told me on the weekend he doesn't want three which has shattered me but hope in time he does! Anyway we went and had a look at a couple of venues and think we have decided on Tatra Receptions (different one to what we thought originally!) but it's beautiful the website doesn't do it justice but it is gorgeous we walked into the chapel and I got a lump in my throat and the strangest coincidence was that my great grandfather used to go to that chapel as it was the Mt Dandenong church but has been redone, so its a nice family connection. If you do want to have a look at the website just the venue name and add .com .au

Hi Everyone!
You have probably all noticed but iv been trying to step back from bubhub a bit and concentrate on my boys, they have had a hard time lately, esp brayden, new house, new brother, new house, holiday, back to a strange house etc..
But both my bubs are in full time daycare now, it feels very strange not having them here! very lonely! but nice having my house stay clean all day! im having no luck on the "finding a job" front. i think iv applied for about (at least!) 100 jobs now! its crazy! there is nothing out there! (well there is but you have to be qualified or have a zillion years experiance!)
Harlan is home with me today as hes sick :( poor wee tyke has gastro. been sleeping, pooping and spewing, then back to bed all day.
hes 12.2kg now (8months old!!) hes hugggge!! just going into sz1 clothes now...!
hes having 3 solid meals a day, + morning tea/afternoon tea, and has just dropped from 4 bottles to 3. dropping the 4th only 3 weeks ago ish when he started sleeping through the night (finalllllly!!)
anyway, im just uploading some pics, so ill come and post some on here when they are done :)

We've been having massive problems with Liam pushing Millie when she touches his toys. Very frustrating.
Liam's birthday is next week and he will be having a Thomas party. No idea what to do for Moo's 1st - I'm debating between a seaside or a garden theme.
I've been offered a scholarship for uni this year - will be fantastic for covering the many extra costs that keep coming up!

Just wanted to pop in and say hi ...
Baby is perfect ... so cute - who can believe our bundles are 9 months old now !!
She can say 4 words !!
Mum: usually screams this when I'm in another room or not paying attention to her
Hiya: has only said this once, whilst waving to nothing in particular
No: said this the other night whilst vigourously shaking her head from side to side
Yum: said this at Daycare when watching another child eating custard, says it at home when she likes certain foods
She is soooo funny!
Loves to be chased, loves water, loves the pool, loves music, dances to Myley Cyrus - sooo funny !! Crawls everywhere, creeping walking all over the house, pulls herself to stand anywhere and everywhere, crawls up and down steps. Has two teeth on the bottom.
She waves hello and goodbye, she is just so funny and the love of my life.
She had a little modelling job in December and was too cute.
She sleeps through 7pm to 7am. Has two naps.
Started at Daycare last week. So sad but she's only doing half days til she's 12months old so that's not so bad.
We got our photo back from the competition we won and it is so beautiful that I am going in to get another 4 of them made up in the frame this week.
Anyhoo - I have a different user name - but you do all know me.
Please don't out me - I am in hiding after being stalked on here but someone.
We are all Facebook friends anyway.

Hi ya people
Something strange happened to me yesterday and so I'm going to put forward the question in here
- Yesterday I had bad premenstrual like cramps. When I went to the toilet there was some blood (not heaps mind you just a few drops), and it wasn't fresh like it gets at the beginning of your af (mine is due this week).
This happened exactly 14 days after we BD'D and I ovulated.
I haven't had anything else since except a few cramps here and there.
Do you think it could have been an implantation bleed?? I never had one with Ryder so I don't know what it's like.
I know I did a test yesterday morning but all this happened just after I posted and 2 hours after I did the test.
Do you think it's possible.
If I was going to get AF it would have definetly arrived by now.

Hails - I had implantation bleeding with Charlotte. Hopefully this isn't TMI for you. There was enough blood that I had to wear a panty liner. It was kinda brown "old looking blood". I honestly thought it was my AF. I really hope this is the case for you and that you are UTD. :fingerscrossed: crossed for you hunni. Also I didnt get a BFP until after the implantation bleeding had stopped and even then it was only a very faint line.
PR - I know exactly who you are...and I am so excited that you're back with us :smiliedance:. Sounds like your bubba is going great and is a little angel. Cant wait to hear more updates.
QTB - Harlan is gorgeous. I love his beautiful hair. I hope your little man is feeling better.

Charlotte is 10months today so not long now til the big 1. We also go on holiday in just over 4 weeks. I am so excited. I finally bought a new pair of bathers (the first since before I was pregnant). We all have new beach towels, bathes, havvi's, and Charlotte got a new stroller as well.

Some news update - RYDER CAN WALK - well sorta.
He pushes his HUNTER WALKER (a little trolley) all around the lounge room by himself now, sometimes even one handed!!
I went to the bathroom to brush my hair and when I got back he was zooming around the lounge room pushing his little trolley. It was amazing to see, I'm so proud of him!!:yelclap:
It's so damn hot here today. I know I grew up in Cairns but it's a different type of heat, and atleast in Cairns you can go for a swim at the beach. There's no beach for hundreds of kays near me:no: and I don't want to pay to go and use the local pool. Oh well, I guess I'm just going to have to suffer at home.

sounds very promising hails!! i got implantation spotting and the cramps with harlan at 9 DPO :D (if its 9DPO you will find you will have a long lateral phase (the part between O and AF) so its longer til BFP, so dont get disheartened if you get a BFN straight away, i didnt get BFP til 3 days after AF was due :) goooood luck!!

Well we had such a frustrating night with Ryder last night.
It got till 10:00pm and he still wouldn't go down so I took him to bed with me (I was dead on my feet mind you). It was so hot all last night and he kept wanting to snuggle and it was just plain awful.
At 2:00am (I still hadn't had any sleep), Ryder was fast asleep so I attempted to put him in his cot, only for him to wake up and cry as soon as he felt his mattrise.:hair::crying:
Same thing happened at 4:30am.
I think I managed to doze for a little while but I'm going to pay for it today, I already am. I was so frustrated at him, it happens nearly every single time you try to put him in his cot, maybe I should just change his cot into a bed and try him in there. Atleast I could lay down on it to try and get him settled??
Any ideas?:confused:

Hails – Thanks sweety it was simply breath taking when we walked in and the family connection is nice. I have no idea hunni with the cramps or small amount of bleeding but have my fingers crossed! Hope you get your :bfp: very very soon! Oh and good luck with the mystery shopper that would be so much fun! That’s great about Ryder walking Evie took a step on her own yesterday ahhhhhh are you like me and so not ready for this yet???? Ryder is so clever! Did you guys get a change at all last night? We thankfully got a cool change though even in the hot weather I’m hesitant about taking Evie to the beach just don’t want her to burn too easily!
Evie went through a similar phase not too long ago, then she just clicked out of it, I guess we started to get into a bit more of a routine but apart from that we didn’t do anything different so can’t give much help sorry sweety.
Mel (QTB) – Hope Harlan is feeling better! Good luck on the job front it is extremely hard to find one atm….but I know you’ll find the perfect job! And hope Brayds and Harlan are settling into the new house now! Harlan is soooooo cute!

Us – Well we are pretty sure we have a date he he he he just waiting to hear today about confirmation but it looks like our wedding will be 28 August 2010 :bee: and then we’ll be trying for number two that Dec / Jan which will be great! But apart from the initial planning not much happening here, my sister has been down for three nights which has been great, I’ve organised my studying for this year, am contemplating putting Evie in for a day at daycare as I’ll be studying full time and will need a day just to study but aren’t too sure atm.
Evie took a single step by herself yesterday she took a step from her playpen to the couch and then grabbed onto the couch for the second step! I am so not ready for her walking lol…but she is doing so well just a happy baby and healthy baby which is so great. But yes just the normal boring stuff going on here atm :D Hope all mums and bubs are doing well! xoxo

qtb - wow 12kilos already thats amazing. my ruby is barely 9kilos. she does eat solids but i swear spends most het time at my boob. she wants to walk but falls alot so i confort her lol. i know im bad but meh :P gorgeous pics.

Morning ladies! How are we all?
I'm having a relaxing day today!
Had a friend over last night and did the yummiest roast chicken salad - it was soooo good! I put squished up olives and sundried tomatos as well as Bococinni, grated cheese and spinach leaves and then had a really yummy Paul Newman Ranch Dressing. SOOOOO GOOOOOOOD!
We also pigged out on egg salad and spinach dips and I buy these crunchy spicy broad beans which are kind of like nuts but OMG - soooo goood!
We had lovely wine as well and it was the best night ever. My friend left about midnight and we sat outside in my new courtyard talking for ages. It was just the nicest night.
Baby slept til 8am this morning. Everyday she amazes me. I love going into her in the mornings she always gives me the BIGGEST SMILES !!!
She's so funny, sometimes she just grunts, like doesn't even open her mouth, just grunts in a contended way. She was having a little cry when I put her down for her nap and I went in to give her a cuddle and she was staring into my eyes and making these contended little grunting sounds and touching my face and hair. Hahahaha - she's so cute, I would grunt back at her and she would laugh. She's hilarious - it's like she has a sense of humour already.

It's so exciting! Did anyone watch the inauguration - it's amazing, it's like when President Kennedy was elected - Barack Obama brings such hope for peace and a better future and it makes me want to cry with happiness - it's just amazing.

Us - We are all better thankfully after last week. Poor Poppy only just came good yesterday. We have had a busy week this week. Monday we went to the park and Poppy got to know all of the kids there. Lol, she is very friendly!, Yesterday we went to the book fest then to Southbank with a friend and today we went swimming. Poppy loves the water. She doesnt want to be held - which doesnt really work lol. Her arms and legs are going a million miles an hour and is so funny to watch. I think she is pretty close to walking now. We have a little walker but she isnt really interested. Too independant by far!
I promise to be here a bit more this week. Last week was a bit of a write off with everyone being ill.

Hi lovely ladies I have been so busy lately I have been sleeping a lot during the day as I have been working a lot
As for Noah he is crawling like no tomorrow and every way possible, he is pulling himself up onto everything.. Get this he got 2 teeth on Sunday followed by another 2 teeth on Tuesday! I think that explains the stinky stinky poos he does during the night, he even sleeps through them and us changing him.. Went to the clinic yesterday he is now 11.3kgs! We are still at swimming lessons every week Noah just loves them he is the only baby that when you put them under comes out smiling!
OMG 10 weeks and Noah will be 1 where has the time gone, I’m thinking of having his 1st birthday at lollipops play land with just his little friends..
Jess - YAY for the wedding plans! Evie is going great she is growing so fast I bet she will be walking before her 1st birthday .. So how have you been? OMG your reception place is just gorgeous
QTB - Harlan sure is a chubba, and I thought Noah was big.. Just more of them to love.. Aww how cute is Harlan he doesn’t look that big in photo’s where Noah looks a lot bigger .. Hopefully this works

I'm about to take baby girl to DayCare - I HATE IT !! I mean the centre is fantastic and quite exclusive - hard to get into and all that ... it's ME - I want her with me 24/7.
She looks so cute today in her little red and white outfit and I don't want to take her.
BTW - is everyone friends with me on Facebook? Coz I won't be posting photos of my child or myself on here ever again.

HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY PEOPLE!!!!
We had our bbq today so we did our part to celebrate.
I'm really getting into the Australian open this year.
Every year I love watching it but this year the games have had me on the edge of my seat!!
The game last night with Jelena Dokic took my breath away.
I always felt so sorry for her. She always had huge potential but her dad was a major a*shole. There relationship was a form of abuse and I'm so glad that she found the strength to break away.
I hope many other children in the same position can look at her and gain the strength that they need.
Still no pg news from me yet. No af either which can be seen as good news.
DH does think that my boobs are definetly getting bigger though, (and I swear that my nipples are getting darker - tmi).
I'm still getting nausea on and off everyday.
My stomach feels like I have been doing non stop sit ups. I swear the muscles are aching but I don't know why.
Atleast for now my headaches have stopped.
I'm still counting on a BFP but will have to wait and see. My new goal before I take a pg test is to wait till the eighth of February. :fingerscrossed: I can do it.
(my theory is that by then af should have well and truelly arrived.)

As Hails said HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY everyone! I know it is seen as not a good day by some but I am thankful we live in this country!
We got our date so we will be getting married on 28 August 2010 which afterwards that Oct – Dec we will be trying for bubs no 2! But apart from booking the venue we haven’t done much else we really need to book our photographer soon though!
Evie is doing really well she has been really getting better at clapping and when we say “clap” or “yay” she gets really happy and claps and now does hi and bye with a wave, these babies never stop amazing me at how beautiful, smart and how happy they all are! We are all truly lucky!
Not looking forward to this week they have predicted four days of 40 in a row and each day either side in high 30s but I am thankful I am not pregnant don't think I could do it again with no a/c lol!

Lately he's been standing up un-aided (after we help him get his balance first:D) and today he took 1 and a half steps to the couch all by himself.

The best thing was that DH was hear to see it aswell. So far we've been lucky. Both of us have been around to witness all the milestones.

QTB: how is Harlen has the salmonella cleared up? I remember when baby girl had a stomach bug last year and she spewed and pooed for 2 weeks, it was awful, I was so frightened, I couldn't keep anything in her - she was only a few months old. Hope he's better soon.
Noah'sMum: how cute are they! Does Noah try to crawl really really quickly? Lexie does that, it makes me laugh. Sounds like Noah and Lexie are really similar - she loves the water too and actually deliberately puts her head under! I'm starting her on lessons soon, but it's so hard to get them in around here - you almost have to book a year in advance!

Okay - I have a little update for everyone!
I had a date last night, as in we went for a meal, sat and discussed our lives. It was lovely. I believe he is what we could call a 'nice' guy. His wife ended their marriage after many years. It was sad actually. Here was this gorgeous man sitting across from me with what would appear everything to offer - good looks, charm, wealth, doesn't drink or smoke, entertaining, funny and yet his wife left him so she could go and sleep with younger men! Of course this is how the story was relayed to me. He was lovely and it was just so nice to be taken on a date, to sit and act like an adult, have adult conversation. He even paid! I tried to pay for half but he wouldn't have a bar of it. I was impressed with his manners. He didn't even say the F word - so of course I was on my best behaviour! hahahaha :) anyhoo - he said he would like to see me again - i said i'm only up for friendship at this stage and he was v.cool with that - so we shall see. He certainly is one of those tick all the right boxes guys - but maybe he's a 'good on paper' guy if you know what I mean.
Having a bit of a tough time with DayCare, I mean it's great and they are lovely, but baby is meant to have 2x2hour naps during the day - and when she's home - she has them. I picked her up after a full day at DayCare yesterday and she's only had 2xhalf hour naps! I was not happy and of course i ended up with a cranky baby who didn't want to go to sleep, required constant settling and was so restless all night. I'm not sure how I will get through the next couple of months if that is the way it's going to be. Lucky she isn't there full-time.
Baby girl is gorgeous! Crawls everywhere, pulls herself up, into everything and anything, creeps around all the furniture, has stood unassisted a few times, can walk between people if we hold her hands. She's a little chatterbox as well - constantly talkind to herself. She's also hilarious to watch sleeping, she talks to herself, and smiles and laughs in her sleep, and sometimes she'll flip over and crawl around her cot then lay back down - she has little dreams I think about what she's done during the day - man it makes me laugh.

Phoenix Rising - Your little girl sounds like such a smartie & will be running in no time! Also no I don't feel like I am back to me regular self :no: still have about 10kgs to loose & I still have a belly thats evidence that I infact had April less than a year ago. My goal is to have it GONE by her first birthday! haha. Oh & your date sounded very nice.
hailsntwang - congratulations your little man is growing up! Hopefully you get your BFP next test! Also I read about your night with Ryder & it sounds exactly like the night I had with April last night! As soon as she hit her mattress she was up! It was a killer, if I had my queen size bed out here at dads I wouldn't bother with the cot at all!
Majeevch - April is going well thanks for asking. I'm having trouble teaching her to wave. She does it every now & again but not always on que. Congrats on getting your venue for your wedding too! Do you have a pool or anything for this HOT HOT weather? I have a little one out the back that me & April jump in when it gets to be too much!
QTB - I hope your little boy is feeling better & hopefully I will see you on Friday! I am really looking forward to meeting some other mums.
Noah's Mum - wow 4 teeth in a matter of 4 days! April has only 2 so far & they have appeared almost a month apart. They will probably all start coming through together soon though. April's a big girl too. Last time I weighed her she was 10.9kgs.
mum2a - Welcome! Once they are crawling you really need to keep your eye out hey. Not only do they get into everything they follow you everywhere. April get's a little annoyed when I go up & down the hallway :laughing:
Angroc - I went to that bookfest too. SOOOOOO many books I didn't know where to begin! I ended up just getting two books for April. April is the complete opposite to Poppy. She is so wary when it come to water. If I sit her on her own she will lung at me to hold her. She enjoys it when I am holding her though or if she feels safe enough on her own.
Meggs - stinks you lost your big post. That happened to me a couple of times basically it encourages me just to go to bed cause I am normally posting when I should be in bed (like now) ;)
SethandRuby'sMum - sorry to hear about your sleeping problems but I can tell you I am having sleeping problems with April too. I hate missing out on sleep :(
LilMrsC - I have been looking for work but not applying :o There are heaps of f/t jobs that I like the sound of in marketing but I don't want to go back f/t just yet & I know I will be miserable if I do. Rich probably but very miserable that I will not get to see my little girl all day everyday. Your party planning sounds like it's coming along just fine too!

Here - ah getting a little frustrated at April not being able to go to sleep without me in the room. I tried CC unsuccessfully. Could only do it for about 10mins & has made April even more adamant that she needs me in the room to be able to go to sleep. She rolls over constantly to check that I am still there. That is kinda cute though! Other than that she has started to become really independent. She crawls everywhere she wants to go & loves to follow the cat around! She pulls her self up everywhere & if I am doing anything on the floor she will find her way over to stick her nose in. She's so cute sometimes I actually want to go wake her up now to hug her & play with her....it would be payback! hahaha. Nah I know the repercussions of that could be catastrophic to her slowly getting there sleep pattern. She goes to bed at 6-7pm, stirs or wakes at around 11pm, then wakes again about 4am, then wakes up for good at 6ish. Not ideal but if I go to bed after her 11ish stir I only get interupted twice.
Anyway better get going, this post with all the personals has taken me ages. Hopefully I will be back in here soonish. Chat later :wave:

It will be coming in handy with this weather down south at the moment. I feel really sorry for all you SA"s and VIC's. QLD is great for summer. The heat is pretty consistent at least.
LBB - I loved your pic of April. Your cat looks exactly like ours, only we have a Rambo lol. Poppy's fave past time with him is to body slam him haha. He is really good with her though. He keeps his claws sheathed around her.

Us - We have been doing well, just really busy. Poppy is starting to stand more independently and shock of all shocks, she slept through for the first time last night! 8pm to 5am!!!! That would make a full night sleep for me for the first time in 12 months! The last 3 months of being pg as you all know had me peeing at all hours lol.
I have a Q now, probably a bit tmi but here goes. I had my first period on xmas day (ho ho ho) and by my calculations should have had another one on the 22nd of this month. That would now make me 7 days od. My Q is, Did your periods go back to normal after birth or were they pretty out of whack? I have ALWAYS had a 28 day cycle, so this is really weird for me. There is a possibility that I could be utd but I dont 'feel' pg. No sore boobies etc. Hmm....

Ang, Sorry I can't help you with the period question. My AF has always been slightly irregular. I can't remember what it was like after Will, and I STILL haven't had one after Evie...
PR, great to see you back here hon!! I know it's hard with daycare, but try not to stress too much with young missie's sleep. I've found that it takes them a while to settle into a daycare routine. How are you going in the heat? I can sympathise - it's ridiculously hot here in the sticks too!!

As for us, well, we're all going ok. As I said before, I'm struggling with work a bit, especially because I'm not doing what I would like to be, and DP is. (We do the same thing.) So while he's happy and satisfied with work, I'm unhappy and unsatisfied and struggling not to be horrible and jealous.
Evie's sleeping is also way out of whack at the moment. She's sleeping 12 hours a night, but only has two 45 minute naps during the day. I know I'd rather have a good night's sleep, but I also need time to get things done around the house as well...:hair::hair:
Anyway, better go. She's trying to climb the computer table...
Hey lovely ladies I’m backkkkkk we had a nice weekend away down at our caravan! Boy am I tired… Noah was at daycare yesterday I’m getting heaps better only stayed for 8 mins, I ended up sleeping on and off for about 4 hrs yesterday it was so nice! We had Physio on Tuesday we now have to get Noah to start using his left foot more when he pulls himself up he leads with his right and only walks to the right along the lounge so we just have to put things to the left for him to go for.. Physio keep telling me he isn’t far off walking with the way he crawls but I just can’t see it
Phoenix - Having them in daycare does get easier I stayed for 40mins on Noah’s 1st day he has been going 1 day a week for about a month he loves it but I still miss him during the day so I try to keep myself as busy as possible.. Yeah Noah tries to craw pretty fast only to face plant it LOL.. I can’t believe how hard it is to get into swimming lessons I had no trouble here.. Noah is the same when it comes to sleep at daycare I now pick him up a little later in the day and he is then so happy to see us he won’t let us go and not as grumpy in the arvo.. Great news about your date! I feel back to normal but different more complete now.. And the added bonus of being under my pre pregnancy weight!
QTB - I had him weighed last Thursday he was 11.3kgs, how did your tests go? I hope Harlan is feeling better
Jess - I’m the opposite I can’t wait for Noah to start walking he gets so frustrated because he can’t get to places fast enough.. I know this time last year we were all complaining how hot and fat we were LOL.. YAY you have a wedding date how exciting!

LBB - Yeah I couldn’t believe it with the teeth and I’m expecting more this week with the way he has been pooing.. Noah got his first 2 teeth at 6months and 2 weeks apart and for 2 to come up at a time in such a short amount of time geeshh the pooing is just wrong!

Everyone is good here. Liam is 3 now, and we've been devouring train cake. He is having a very small gathering of family on Sunday and we have an Island of Sodor cake planned. Loves his Thomas :bee:
Millie is a complete monster. She is such a trouble maker. Anything bad - she wants it. She stole Nats donuts this morning, steals toys, doesn't sleep and has the funniest smile ever. I'll upload a pic now. My family and I went out to dinner the other night and Mum couldn't believe what a ratbag she is, stealing food, throwing things and grabbing stuff. She is nothing like Liam who is very quiet and sensitive (he cries if he drops his juice!)
We are still having problems with her not taking a bottle at daycare. She won't take water or formula from a bottle or sippy, and her nappies are dry all day. Not sure where to go from here - cows milk early for day drinks or just keep going with the formula, which is getting expensive whilst she doesn't drink any.

ANGROC - I'm trying, I'm trying!!!
Af hasn't showed up yet but before Ryder I had problems where I didn't get AF for a year. Things then became regular again after Ryder was born, and then I went on the pill, I'm hoping so bad that the problems aren't arising again.
I don't want to see another negative :bfn: so I'm not testing anymore, I will test again on the 8th Feb and if it's negative but Af hasn't shown up, I'm going to the Doctor.

Hails - i know what you mean... my periods have always been screwed up... from before brayden/ between boys.... very irregular ovulation etc... yet now that iv had harlan, they seem almost perfect! iv ovulated every month since i got AF back!! tis very strange!
Kristy - Harlan lost a kg while he was sick, so went down to 11.1kg... i havent had him checked since, but it seems we have big boys!! lol
your post just reminded me to ring the dr and ask about my test results... my iron is at 9... which isnt good, but at least it explains why i havent been waking to my boys at night and in the mornings!!
ok, iv forgotten what else i had to say so ill be back later to finish off... bit worried bout my iron levels now!

Well it is so hot here today - was 42.5 degrees when there was a blackout in my suburb, the fans went off, laptop dead, I was like - what am I going to do - I was thinking that was when you need a man to keep you amused - haha... anyhoo - it was only for an hour but I was seriously thinking about getting in the car and going bush - I don't think it would matter though - it's hot everywhere. Finally, the sea breeze has arrived, Boo is asleep, she hardly got any sleep last night.
Had an interesting day with a woman I had a meeting with telling me how sad it is for my little girl to not have a Dad. I told her that was complete and utter crapola and that all my child needs is on loving parent and good role models of either gender. I could have slapped her. Some people are so rude, so insensitive, they have no idea. I noticed she has no wedding ring, never speaks about children. It always seems to be the childless ones with the most advice. The ones who've never been there - never done it.
For what it's worth - I have the happiest baby!! And who says she won't have a Dad ... I have a feeling this year is my year to meet MR FABULOUS !!!
As for AF - well mine has been back to normal for a long time. It's funny but it's like it was in my twenties again - hahaha ... 28 days, regular, i'm like a little clock !!

Us - We're doing ok Evie has been great in the heat way better than me....she took a couple of steps by herself last night and again today and I'm so not ready so not ready :hissy:.
I'm a bit :( at the moment feel like all my closest friends have pushed me away too long to got into right now but yeah have felt very :crying: the past few days not to mention Tuesday - Wednesday I couldn't move my right arm and its only come good today!
But wedding plans are going well we're not doing too much just enjoying it, need to find a photographer for now and then we can some relax even more.

OK gals...
where do I begin......
Things are not good here......
Had a paed app Friday last week...... Nate's head circ is that of a 3 yr old...
Combine that with the low tone and its cause for alarm....
Had an U/S yesterday to rule out Kefalitis *excessive fluid on brain*
His fontanel was only wide enuf to u/s by mere fractions of a mm she said...
She told me there isn't any excessive fluid, but contact paed for results..
That was the easiest option...
He is booked in for a **** load of blood work and urine testing to begin with on Tues next week... followed by another u/s to determine the placement of his missing teste *donut ask me how i didn't notice this.. i feel ill about that all.*
we have a referral to the paed surgeon for him to have that stitched down + circumcision asap...
(sigh)
On top of this i was diagnosed with Insulin Resistance *meaning my PCOS is back :(*
Straight onto meds for this....
Also was officially diagnosed with Type 2 Bipolar Disorder & also with a general Anxiety + Panic Disorder....
Can't see shrink til March for this...
so yea...

JESS - I guess Evie and Ryder are both going to give us a run for our money hey. Ryder has been taking more steps now aswell and has figured out sometimes it's easier to walk then crawl.
It will still be a little while before he takes off but he's definitly getting there.

DH and I have been considering moving to geelong next year once he passes his final electrician exam. Is it an alright place to live and bring up kids. I'm so homesick for the beach so I want to live near the ocean, but still in the same state as my mum.

I just found this site and am very excited to found other mothers who had kids during april '08 :D I hope its ok to post here! :eek:
My name is Circe and I live in Melbourne ( only moved up here 6 months ago) And am 24. My DS, Rowan, was born on the 26th April o8 via Emergency c-section. ( long story...short of it was docs failed to pick up at 36 w mark my placenta failing and low amionic fluid, had to be induced, laboured for 13 hours, then rushed for c-section when DS's heartbeat was dropping rapidly)
Im a SAHM, hopefully studying full time this semester for my bachelor or arts ( ancient History) I love playing electric guitar, and love my metal. I also and heavily into cosplay and fruits fashion ( Japanese fashion) and love sewing. I will be going down to tassie next week for an anime convention with Rowan to run two panels, one on food in anime and the other on jrock and visual kei. Rowan has been entered into his first cosplay competition! ( he will be going as Baby gohan from dragon ball z, while I will be going as Chi Chi his mother from DBZ :flowerz:)
Am looking to talk and chill with other mothers, and hopefully catch up with ppl in Melbourne, and to find some new friends.
Cant wait to get to know you all!

Hi again last april mummas!! I do this bubhub thing in bursts these days. Nothing for months here I am!!
S&RMumma - I'm so with you on the heat. I think this is the 5th day of 40 plus today. Then the cool change and it goes down to 39, 38, 36!! (hahahahaha!!) Don't even want to send Caitlin to kinda on Tuesday. It really does affect you after a while - I just feel disgusting today. Blaaggghhhhh! (& we have aircon)

hailsntwang How are you and Ryder doing in the heat? I imagine it the same for you as here in Bendigo - if not worse. Hope ur able to keep cool. Geelong is a great place. We used to go there a lot when we lived in Ballarat. And will again when we move back. Maybe I'll be able to catch up with you and Jess one day!! We love the Dog beach at Point Lonsdale. DHs sister is down the coast - nice excuse to get to the beach!!
Angroc Hope your feeling well. Any ms yet? Hope things have settled a bit for you. I started trying for my second when my first was 9 months as I thought 18 month was a good age gap. But it took me 5 months to find my bubba. They should grown up as such good friends being so close in age. Enjoy the journey again. I'm almost jealous. I know I don't' want any more babies but hearing you starting the journey again does make me all nostalgic and sooky!! Good luck with it sweety!!
US We're hot - but that goes without saying!! We're had a really nice January. Very quiet and just enjoying doing family stuff. I've loved it. Georgie now has 2 teeth (not many for 9 months but I'm sure she'll grow some more soon). She is still commandoing all over the house but just starting to pull up to her knees occasionally. She can now clapp clapp - and things she is oh so clever. Probably because she has a ready made audience who think she is just fantastic!! (big sisters). She sleeps well, eats well and is all round wonderful. I'm loving her and enjoying every minute of watching her grow. We still have our house on the market (anyone want a house in Bendigo??) and are looking froward to moving home closer to friends and family. Kinda start Tuesday so I guess it's back into the swing of life again for us!!
Enough blahh blahh

SILLYSIDEUP - I was also considering Ballarat. I used to live in Meredith (in between ballarat and geelong), so I'm really half/ half about each.
DH has never moved out of Benalla before (born and grew up in the same house). I would have loved to move back up to Cairns but it's never going to happen so the next best thing is moving to the coast or atleast close to the coast.
I still need to convince him but I just feel there are more possibilities for him and us.
It would be great to all catch up!!!

As for us, we are hot. I don't even bother opening the curtains at the moment. It's so much cooler with them closed. I'm freaking out about how much the aircon bill is going to be - DH is just as bad as me though so he can't exactly blame us. Ryder loves getting squirted with a drink bottle so atleast he's cool.
I don't think we are going to be doing much this weekend besides staying inside and driving each other crazy.

Hails - My DH worked at Meredith Nursery for a couple of years!! I actually grew up at Lal Lal (near Clarendon). Funny hey!! We love Ballarat - love the cooler weather!!! You never know - maybe Ryder and Georgie will get to have a play one day!!

I’m a SAHM also and am studying though am doing media and communication in PR but have to admit love Japanese culture and was madly addicted to anime (Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball Z, pokemon, astro boy though depends if they are classed as truly anime). Also am a guitarist too was liking the metal but not too into anymore.

SethandRuby'sMum: I live down south of melbourne... just above frankston, however we are planning to move closer to the city ( we had no clue about suburbs when we were moving and yeah was reccommended the area we are in, which was totally unsuitable for my partners work and for me...3 hours return trip to melbourne is too much for Rowan) Am really looking forward to being closer to everything! :)
JAMMYDODGERS: thats awesome to hear with the degree! I had started my arts/law degree but I hated law so much ... so I took a break and now going to start fresh ^^ I really cant decide between which language tho :p I was tempted to study japanese but the area I want to get into ( i want to study the ancient european religions pre christian era) there is no use for it :P
Well today is the first day we havent had to trn the air con on here WOOOOT! its over cast and cool and hopefully before too long its going to rain. Found out that most the big fires we have had in melbourne were deliberately lit - cannot understand the mentality of deliberately setting fires-
All the costumes are almost finished for AI con, Rowans Baby Gohan (from DBZ)costume has worked out beautifully ! He could totally take out the cosplay competition lmao. My Chi chi( DBZ) costume is proving to be a lot harder than first anticipated but im so close to finishing!!!
I also finished my entry for the Fruits ( gothic lolita) competition which is a Japanese kimono with a Obe belt corset ....very smexy :laughing:
So Rowie and I will be flying down this thurs morning and come back next monday! Its going to be so much fun!

I would love to have a look :) I am glad things are cooling down for you. Times like this I am happy to have the classic Brissie summer with all its humidity over that kind of heat!
Majeevch - It is hard when the dress has its own decoration isnt it. Do you have some pearl earrings that match the pearls on the bodice? Did you put some aloe vera on your burn? I find that really helps. Oh, and read below re our news :D

Us - Well, me and my big mouth lol! We had the pregnancy confirmed by my doc yesterday and went and had blood tests etc. I am about 5 weeks along. My doc said that it was a nice strong positive which is kind of reassuring. I know it doesnt mean anything in regards to whether or not it is a viable pregnancy but it is nice to know all the same. We have decided to tell our families and friends asap. At least we will have their support of something does happen iykwim? I still wont advertise it on Fb though until the 3 month mark I think. While I have close friends and alot of you lovely ladies, there are people I have a friends that I wouldnt tell right away in a normal situation. Anyhoo.
We are off to see DH's grandmother at the nursing home this morning the going for Drinks at our neighbours this afternoon. Obviously that was planned before I found out I was utd lol. I dont know if we should tell them we are utd either as they are trying for a bub but have had a few miscarriages. I dont want them to feel bad iykwim?

Angroc - I’m seeing my fertility specialist on Thursday and will probably have all the BT’s done tested for everything under the sun! If all goes to plan I will be able to start a cycle after my next AF which is due around the 10th Feb hopefully a transfer will follow shortly after and I should know by the end of Feb early March.. I think I will end up in tears if I don’t get to do a cycle, and I think I need to be prepared incase we aren’t as lucky as I was with Noah being the first go.. It would be a dream to fall first go.. You know what from my own experience I think you should tell her, I would bring it up casually in conversation. I found it harder either finding out off other people or being the last to find out when friends told me because they were worried about how I would react.. For me being treated normally was what I needed

Hi and (((((HUGS))))) to all for you, I have been so so slack in staying in contact with some of you girls woops.
Charlie is doing really well almost walking just needs to let go and he will be off. Poor little guy has really bad prickly heat at the moment, the tropical weather up here doesnt like Charlie fair skin :-( and to add to that we have cut 4 teeth in 4 days so he now has 8 and 2 molars on the way, poor kid just cant get a break this week LOL.
We are on cyclone alert up here at the moment so i should best get back to tiding up a few toys out side in case it brews a bit bigger and blows everything away !

C&Emum - hope that cyclone doesn't eventuate!! must be a bit scary. I still can't believe that we've been sweltering down here while you guys are drowning in rain. Gerogie is doing great - thanks for asking. She is such a funny bubba!! you can tell already she is going to be the family comedian. I'm loving every minute of her :cloud9:. Hoep charlies heat rash settles down. Can't believe he is almost walking. Georgie is still commando crawling!! None of my girls have been record breakers - both C and O walked at 14 months.
Arrrhhgg - just though I had them all off to bed and now Caitlin has woken Georgie up calling for her all important little pink princess handbag!!! ......wait quiet again ....
Majeevch hope the sunburn fades fast!! Ouchhie. Still hot up here. 39 today and 37-39s all week until next sunday. Over the heat big time!
hailsntwang Both ballarat and Geelong are great places. Sovereign hill is fun. I remember going there in primary school and being a school pupil for 3 days. Must take my girls there as well. It's one of those thing you forget about doing - because you are so familar with it.

Congrats Ange! :smiliedance:hope you had a good day out with the family today. I would have said congrats today at the shops if I wasn't so slack and not been on bub hub for weeks. I only check Facebook if I am over looking at a computer screen.
Work seems to get in the way of me keeping up with this bub hub thing. Sorry to the Brissie mums for not making it on Friday. Hope you all had a great time and I hope to be able to get some time off soon to catch up.
Best of luck to all you lovely April mums TTC & looking for work, and those starting their bubs at daycare.
Quick update from us: Paige now has 4 bottom teeth, is walking around the furniture & standing &going from squatting to standing alone. She sleeps through the night & has 2 sleeps in the day (1x 1hr & 1x2-3hrs) at daycare this is considerably less.
We had her weighed last week & she is now 10.4kg.
hope the weather gets better around the country, will talk to some of you on facebook(new photos are up) & will pop back into bubhub soon.

Look at me - I'm going insane with this - back again.
I just had to drop back in and say "ohhhhhhwwwwwwwww".
I've just spent the past 30 minutes reading back over some of our 'Due in April' threads. It was so amazing looking at our belly shots and seeing the actual babies up in the corner!! It's like a record of our journey together!! Funny, I posted some belly shots the morning before I left for the hossy to have Georgie and I'd never read the post after it. Took me right back there. So once again just let me say 'ohhhhhhhhhhwwwwww!' Time seems to have passsed so quickly and looking back over it all now, it just seems like it was so special and wonderful. Even though I do distinctly remember not actually enjoying much of it at the time. lol!! - ok enough sentimental rambling ........

Angrog I reckon with telling people, just go with the flow and see how you feel. I found bubhub great in the first 3 months cause I waited to 3 months with all 3 of my bubbas. Being able to talk or type lol freely helped keep me from exploding. LMAO
Rowrowmumma- Im sorry I was completely lossed by your post. What are ur costumes for? LMAO I apologise for my ignorance.
As for me the boys are going stir crazy 6 40 plus days in a row mean I have had to keep the kids inside. OMG so over it their out of control lol.
Still struggling to get Charllette to do the solids thing. So I doubt I will be jioning anyone in the :bfp: club any time soon. My lil booby monster won't even use a sippy cup. I had to syringe pedialyte into her mouth the other night cause she wouldn settle cause she was really thirsty, but she was full cause she only drinks booby milk but was still thirsty. Plus she drank me dry.

Hi ladies
Well I woke up today with full blown nausea.
I was dry retching whilst trying to eat my breakfast so that's not happening although I did manage to have a drink of tea.
I've gone off toast, lamb (which is my absolute fav) and chicken skin:barf:
Even the idea of eating it makes me want to :barf:
Still no af so possibly a good sign. If not then I'm just sick.
I have been craving lemonade though but it could be just because it's so hot.
I'm still not going to test until the 8th of Feb though.
Did absolutely nothing over the weekend. Just stayed inside and tried to keep cool. It's only 8am here and I'm already close to sweating!
DH starts his final year of tafe tonight.
I'm a bit upset because he is at work until 2:30pm and then leaves for tafe at 5:00pm and won't be home again until 10:00pm. It's a long day today, by my lonesome (well with Ryder:p).
Oh well, it will all be worth it at the end (hopefully).
Sorry no personals at the moment, Ryder is just about to pull the curtains down on himself:o

pead was just a review and he wrote a letter to early intervention to see if they can do it for free for us.. who knows if it will work but hey i dont mind :o
he is about 12.5kilos. he stood on the peads scales straight away coz they make noise. were sticking with the gluten free diet for a good month.
hes slightly interacting with ruby a bit more now because shes standing on furnature and getting in his face alot. stealing his gluten free biscuits hehe stealing his water and actually drinking it :eek: :laughing:
still very attached to me though. and feeds to sleep as well. feeding is getting better during the night which is nice.. just have to figure out how to teach seth to go to sleep. and stay asleep:sleeping:
ruby still has only 2 teeth can say 3 words now. mum,dad,bub and babbles. teaching seth to babble now. she can also attempt standing unaided :dizzy:
been reading along with you all and hope you are all ok and forgive the lack of personals. we get to bed late as house work is done at night because seth needs constant supervision otherwise he would end up on the computer desk breaking who knows what :hair:

Brissie mums - any of you sick of this dreary weather? I want to take April to the pool & enjoy "Summer" but everytime I decide I'll take her to the pool it rains!! There is an indoor pool that I go to but it would be nice to splash around in the sunshine! Sorry to those in the heatwave who would probably appreciate the opposite :p
April is a cutie as always. Only issues I have with her is sleeping, other than that she's perfect!

As for Noah he has 8 teeth he cut 6 of those in the last 3 weeks (poo nappies every nappy for 3 weeks so not cool)! He is crawling around and getting into everything, so funny when he tries to crawl really fast and face plants it (P.S he doesn’t hurt himself) he is pulling himself up on the furniture and walking around holding on, he will stand unaided for a bit and fall to his bum.. He is talking and babbling more mum, dad, bubba, hi, hey, pop.. He goes to swimming lessons every Monday and loves them he is the only baby who comes up smiling, Wednesdays he is at preschool and loves it, he did his first painting last week which is proudly on the fridge.. Physio is going well they are happy he is doing squats will hold on to something and walk pull himself up and what not we just have to encourage him to do it to the left..
As for me I’m working at woolies doing nightfill loving being able to stay at home through the day and work of a night, I’m also doing a brochure walk for the extra cash and exercise and I’m now under prep regnancy weight mind you I’m also at weight watchers and only 2 more weeks until I become a life time member.. Oh and of course 3more days to go until our IVF appt..

Noah's Mum - 6 teeth in 3 weeks! Poor Noah. So much pain for such little bub's. Thanks for your advice re telling our neighbour. I am kind of bugged about the whole situation. I know that when we were ttc Poppy we were doing everything possible to make that happen. I totally cut out caffiene, alcohol, most fatty foods and really looked after myself. DH also cut out booze 2 months before we conceived and it actually worked. I love our neighbours, they are the nicest ppl but they both go on huge benders most weekends. I would think that if you wanted something desperately enough you would do whatever you needed to, to make it happen and drinking alcohol is not treating your body as a baby making shrine!. Meh, that is just my opinion :rolleyes:
LBB - Yeah the weather is getting a bit tired. At least we aren't dealing with 40 degree temps though! I am with you on the sleep issues too.
S&R mum - Hopefully the paed's letter works. Is there much of a waiting list for early intervention?

SSU - I know!!! I was looking at the old thread the other day and getting a bit teary eyed! Alot of mums have definately dissappeared. It would be nice just to hear how they are all doing.

Us - Lucky Poppy and I are running around the country side for DH today. We are going to Ipswich to get a tube for his Amp and then to Coopers Plains to drop of his silly drill which has been in for repairs 3 times since we have had the blasted thing. I think I am going to demand a new one.
Poppy is doing really well. She is sooooo loud lol. There is no quiet switch on that girl. Everything is projected so EVERYONE can hear what she has to say lol. We were at the checkout at coles the other day and she was chatting to the operator like she was scolding her or something. She was even pointing her finger at her and had a dirty look on her face. It is funny and embarrassing at the same time lol.

Hey ladies
Yesterday I felt so sick all day on and off, I've gone off foods and all sorts of things so I decided to test.
I know I said I would wait unti the 8th Feb but I was so sure.
Well surprised me when I saw the big ugly :bfn:
Everything was pointing to a positive, I am over a week late now with af and I just really, really thought I was.
Oh well, today I'm a little down now because I know I can't start trying again until af arrives and it's frustrated because It feels like it's never going to come again:crying:
Even today, even after my negitive I'm still feeling symptoms. Why does my body hate me so much:confused:
On the upside though DH and I have agreed on a girls name that we both like. I absolutely love it and DH says it can grow on him so it's all go for our girls name.
My boys name however DH hates. I'm pretty sure it could grow on him though if he was to even consider it:rolleyes:

Anyway, Ryder is walking more and more now. He's gotta be in the right mood to try it but when he is he's more likely to be taking little steps, falling over and start trying again.
He's so unbelievably cheeky and people always stop us down the street to goo and gaa at him whilst he gives them the brightest of smiles. He really knows how to work the audience:laughing:
He's hair keeps changing between bright rusty red to dark red to even blond and it looks like he's getting some curls. I can't process sometimes looking at him, just how DH and I managed to get it so right.:p
Hails - Are you going to the doctor to see what is happening? Are your periods normally pretty regular? As I said in my last post my friend had heaps of negative results (6 weeks worth) before she had her bfp. I hope it is the same for you. xx

ang - ive been waiting since last year and we start in late feb/early march.. weve been waiting a fair while. just glad to get it up and started. i'll pay if i have to.. the inlaws said they would help us because they miss him so yeah.. we have support from them. just none from my parents :thumbsdown:

Sorry I havent been around in ages again. We have had an interesting few days. As everyone knows it has been hot hot hot in Adelaide...and unfortunately we were in the group of unlucky people who had total black outs over a 48 hour period. OMG life without my air con when it was hitting 45 degrees was not fun. Poor Charlotte got a terrible heat rash.
Anyways...aside from that Dh just started a new job which is great...more money and more career opportunity.
Charlotte got put up a grade in swimming...she can now swim for 4 seconds under water and if we let go of her just slightly she can swim enough to reach us. I am so proud of my little girl. :yelclap:

:hugs: for you Hails. I can almost feel your disappointment. Sometimes it is just so hard to wait for things you really want - speaking from experience - cause I'm cr@p at it!!. As the other girls have said maybe a trip to the GP. I know with two of mine the second line was so faint the first time that I wasn't sure. Still I don't want to raise your hopes. If not this time I'm sure it will be very soon.
LilMrsC - Yay great to hear news from you. The heat - yuck. it averages about 1 degree below Adelaide here - and I've been hating it. can't imagaine how horrible it would have been without aircon. You poor poor thing!!

ANG - I've used Conception +, fortel, and clear blue. All negitive. (I havent' tried them all in the same week though - yesterdays was conception+).
I will wait until the 8th Feb and if still nothing I will go to the Doctors.
I used to be regular but always had real painful periods (been on every type of contraceptive:(), then I had problems where I didn't get any af for nearlly a year so we stopped all contraceptives and a doctor finally sent me to a gyno who thought I may be suffering from PCOS (didn't have a weight problem or anything, the Doctor thought it was all very strange), then I fell pregnant with Ryder in between my first and second visit with the gyno.
After Ryder I went back to being regular again (although still painful but not as bad) and now nothing all over again. That's why I'm freaking out aswell cause I dont' want what ever problem I had to be returning.
Oh well, it's not that far away until the 8th. :fingerscrossed:
Hails - :hugs: Well, you have tried a few tests! Are you sure you wont go to the doctor's sooner? Sometimes it is good to get these things checked out sooner rather than later so you can put your mind to rest.
I feel your pain with the whole cr@ppy period thing. I went through 4 years of intensely painful periods and constant spotting. Like clockwork once a month I would have to call in sick to work because I wouldn't be able to move and would be vomiting from the pain. HORRIBLE! I then went to a gyno who said that I should have a laprascopy (sp) and it turned out I had mild endo. I would hate to have bad endo! He also put me on progesterone tabs which helped to clear things up a bit. I am convinced that it was the pill that caused all of my problems! Then to top it all off, I dont ovulate so had to go on clomid! Obviously that sorted itself out lol.
I reckon you shouldn't wait and get whatever t is checked out. At least then you will have a plan of action either way. If you want to chat about it, feel free to pm me :)
Angroc - I know what you mean I did the same thing while TTC then jumped back on the drinking wagon after I MC.. I had one last big weekend over the long weekend so I’m back to my healthy eating etc my hardest thing was giving up my red bulls LOL.. Yeah you would think that they would do what ever it takes!
Hails - Don’t be so hard on yourself the same thing kept happening to me.. I would do a HPT then AF would arrive the next day or the following day the one time it didn’t I went to the doctors and got a BPF by BT.. Why don’t you go and get a BT? As everyone keeps saying to me ’it will happen when it happens’ it’s hard when you want it now!

ANG - I've said all along that I thought it was the pill that screwed me up. Can't blame it on the painful periods but everything else I sure can.
I went from Doctor to Doctor, both in Cairns and down here since I was 15 and they just kept putting me on different types of contraceptives (to help the pain:no:)
Finally I refused to take it as an answer and demanded that I see a gyno.
I think my body just wanted a possible diagnoses because shortly after that I fell pregnant.
I've now experienced labour and the pain I went through every month matched the pain of every contraction. Atleast it's not so bad now.
I might call up and try to get an appointment for tomorrow.

Been following was going to do personals today but the thread has exploded will try to catch up when I get a chance!
My friend just had her baby girl today at 3lbs 12oz (a whole 2kg lighter than Evie at birth) She was 33 weeks and had her all natural today no stitching (so jealous lol)!!! She's up in box hill so hopefully tonight we can go visit I want to take a gift but have no idea what to get the little one? Any thoughts I promise will try to catch up later tonight!
Hmm, I really think doctor's should do more tests before prescribing the pill, especially to teenage girls. I was completely fine with AF before I went on the pill at 16 and have had nothing but trouble since. My mum had to have a hysterectomy at 36 due to lasting effects from the old style copper iud. It makes you wonder if there is any contraception out there that doesnt have side effects??

Afternoon ladies! Here sits me - meant to be working and instead - aaaah - yes - on here! hahaha, just like old times when we were all pregnant at work and gasbagging. Now babies are at Daycare we are back at work and still gasbagging!

Baby is getting better at Daycare, no tears when i left today - happy when i arrived yesterday, so it's getting better ... i think it's me who has the problem with it - hahahaha - i just want her with me always ...
had a break from the gym, but back at it and sweating my blocks off ... feeling good about myself these days and think I am ready for a pash.
Speaking of pashes ... the nice man asked me out for date number 2! He bought tickets to an event and is taking us - he was very thoughtful, said as he knew I was into music and said he wanted to take someone 'special' and guess who that was - little old me... hehehe... maybe i'll let him kiss me - if that's on the cards... we'll see!
The painter dropped around before and we got along so well - you know when you meet someone and you just hit it off. Unfortunately he's onto marriage number 2 and had his gorgeous wee boy in tow - but still it put faith back into me that there are men out there that I can instantly hit it off with and really like. He'll be spending a bit of time here over the next month as my entire home is being painted - will look so lovely and fresh and clean.
Is anyone else getting the $950 payment from the govt? I am - woot woot :smiliedance::smiliedance: what a bumper month March will be ... which reminds me... must go to my accountant and make sure i'm paying enough tax on the new job!
Putting together an event at the moment for the new job - v.exciting, inviting lots of well known heads, raising a little bit of money - can't wait - going to find out all the hottest actors in town and invite every one of them!! :laughing:
Been having naughty dreams lately - that tells me I need some man action - there is no shortage of interest so we will see what happens.

Well I took all of your advice and have made an appointment to see the Doctor.
Do you want to hear the funny thing, The earliest appointment I could get is 2:00pm, Wednesday the 11th February.;)
IF i wanted to see my normal Doctor I wouldn't be able to get in until February 27th.
Oh well, if AF arrives now then I can always cancel it and if I get a :bfp: then I can get blood tests done so I guess it really doesn't matter now.
Something will happen soon now though, since I've made the doctor's appointment. It always does.

Hey Ange, yeah she is ok otherwise is breathing on her own, came out screaming is just in a humid crib and will probably need a feeding tube as they don't have the sucking reflex just yet! So very happy that she's okay!
Well I don't know why but for some reason I just feel really down been nearly in tears the past three hours just feeling really depressed and can't pin point why....I felt all great this morning and now I have just hit a massive low :(

Angroc - At the start it made things a little better, for instance at school before my period I would have to take off the time I had my AF it would be that heavy that I would leak all over my skirt and I would be doubled over in pain.. When I started the pill the cramps went and a slighty lighter period (nothing to get excited about) and pretty much is the same now
Noah is at daycare today so i am off to get my hair done and have sooooo much to do at the shops just hope i get it all done!

Last night Ryder was playing with DH'S mobile phone and called 000.:eek:
DH made sure the keylock was on and everything before handing the phone over. All of a sudden I hear a voice coming out of the phone and grab it off Ryder only to find that he had called 000 and a lady was asking what our emergancy was:(
I told her that my baby was playing with the phone and she said thanks for telling the truth and then hung up.
I felt awful. They do such an important job and to waste her time like that is not good.:crying:
DEFINITLY NO MORE PHONES FOR RYDER!!!
He's been trying to get to our home phone which doesn't have a key lock on it so we've had to put it up so high and now when it rings I'm going around in circles trying to remember where we put the darn thing.:o
He's also into pulling out the internet / computer cords whilst you are on the computer. I soooooooo have a trouble maker on my hands.
MEGGS - Hey. Hope you're keeping high and dry. My brother is on call to help with the recovery. The last he said is that he may have to help local rangers with the relocation of wandering crocs.
(I remember one cyclone, my friend lived in Yorkeys knob - a suburb of cairns, and it always goes under. Once the flood waters receeded she went out to her backyard only to find a 4.5 foot saltwater croc on her back porch!! Oh the fun of living in the tropics - I miss it so much).
If you can do a little rain dance and send it down here I will gladly take it!

Your event sounds fantastic. Gosh, I wish I had the same ambition that you have. I studied Certificate 3 in Music Industry Skills at School but because I kept going between Qld and Vic during year 10, 11 & 12, I really never got the chance to pursue it (and never really leant an instrument properly. I can't even read music anymore!) I'd make a great personal assistant though.:p
NOAH'S MUM - I could have gotten straight in if it was an emergancy but really, it's not. I don't think another week is going to hurt.

Well we have a walking baby and oh I am so not ready, she still crawls about 15% of the time but walked in and out of one room yesterday and now realises it’s so much easy and everything is so hard to baby proof cause its all in her eye line now!
I figured out what was up with me, I am upset about the fact two of my closests friends shut me out of lives and really feel apart from Matt and one other friend I have no one who knows me, my family doesn’t know me my sister and my mum are the total opposite of me and god we have never talked about our feelings about anything so then I got upset on the fact that I really can’t have a d&m with my mother and she feels so distant so am worried that’ll I’ll be the same to Evie where I want to be the opposite to my mother in ways! So just a whole heap of issues in relation to who my true friends are and feeling burnt anyway sorry about that vent! But apart from that I’m doing okay going batty because I am so bored and I think due to the boredom I am so unmotivated which isn’t good. As of next week I am going to get more motivated as I will be getting my uni books in to read and I will loose this weight!

MAJEEVCH: You poor thing! I had a lot of my old so called friends turn around and shut me out when I had a miscarriage 2 years ago...one of them started spreading rumours that were very nasty. But they truly aren’t worth the trouble. If ppl don’t want u in their lives then thats their bad luck! I wouldn’t worry about you having a distant relationship with your daughter, the fact that you worry about it shows that you will make sure this wont happen ^^. My parents disowned me 4 years ago, they don’t know they have a grandson but it was their loss! I hope things get better real soon and if u need someone to talk to and listen Im nore than happy to help you out, coming from a similar situation myself ^^
Well things have been really hectic and busy here, Finishing off the final touches to the costumes and slide shows and presentations, plus with Rowie being underfoot ( he crawls EVERYWHERE) hes slowly learning to get up on his knees but i think its going to be a bit longer before hes actually walking, although he did pull himself up on his toy lawn power. Hes gotten into a habit of screaming and punching and kicking me every time I put him away from the ps2. Xbox and laptops. And he knows not to do it but keeps testing the boundaries to see if Im wathing and what eh can get away with. Hes also been throwing his food at me at meal times when he doesn’t want to eat with is very frustrating not to mention messy lmao.
Hes been talking a lot and to my surprise ( and all my metal friends horror) He knows who lady GAGA is on tv. I had channel V on one morning and that lady gaga song Poker face came on and he crawled up to the screen and started saying GAGA GAGA over and over and over again...at least its a change from the contstant mumumumumumumumum . So tomorrow I fly out by myself down to Tassie...Im really nervous cos Ive never flown alone with Rowan and now that hes uber wiggly and very stubborn i just hop he behaves himself!

Meggs - Wisdom teeth dont hurt that much when you get them out. I had 2 out when I was pg with Poppy and I was ok to eat solid food the next day. I does feel really weird for a while though, being all gummy where there were once teeth!
Jess - Bloody family! I have a similar relationship with my mum and sis. I always feel like the third wheel... I know they talk on the phone every couple of days and I am lucky to hear from mum once a fortnight :rolleyes:. :hugs:, there is nothing worse than feeling alone, but please know that we are all here for you and that you aren't. We all love ya Jess! I am feeling as far as ms goes. I have days where I feel a bit queasy and others where I dont feel anything. On the plus side, my (.)(.)'s are starting to grow back, woot!!!
Hails - Ooh, I am waiting for the same phone call with Poppy. She has an absloute obsession with all phones! You have to laugh though hey?
Noah's Mum - I am glad the pill worked for you. I am NEVER using it ever again, DH is soooo getting the snip after this bub lol.

Waiting for a phone call so thought I'd pop in quickly. Goodness these april bubs are all early with their developmental milestones. It's wonderful!! Georgie is not even close to being ready to walk - she is still commando. Nothing to worry about - as I think I've said in another post my kids tend to walk about 14 months. I've only ever met a few toddlers who are up and walking by 10 months!! Way to go April Babies!!!!!!!
Hails - We've got our place on the market so we'll move back when/if it sells. Caitlin starts school next year (OMG!!) so I'll probably have to move back with the girls next January regardless as I really dont' want her to have to swap schools so soon. Goodness - that's so funny that Ryder called 000. Although I'm sure it wasn't at the time!! Little monkey! Hope you're feeling ok and coping with the waiting!! I hate waiting - sucky!!
PR Got you all worked out now!! I guess the bonus would be good - but part of me thinks it's probably not really the way to improve our economy!! majeevch - whoa, walking already!! allira is nowhere near walking, she pulls herself up on things and that's enough for me, as well as crawling everywhere! she's only little tho (about 7.5kg) so i'm not expecting those little legs to be able to hold her up for awhile yet.

rowrowmama - hope your flight to tassie goes well! i'd love to go on a trip with allira somewhere. i'd love to go camping but i think it would be too hard by myself.
as for us, well not much new going on here. i'm starting lite n easy tomorrow and can't wait!! i did it a few years ago and lost over 10kg while going to the gym. i can only do walking now as i have allira with me 24/7, but really looking forward to being more healthy and losing some weight :)

Hey ladies
Not much to report on today (so far).
We have new nextdoor neighbours and they are having a housewarming on Saturday and have invited us over.
It was totally unexpected as we hadn't even said hello up until they invited us. I'm not sure if we will make an appearance yet, guess it depends on how Ryder is, but I just thought it was the sweetest thing!:yes:
They are three girls about 27 years old. I don't have many friends around these days (they have all moved away) so maybe I should make more of an effort to go over.
I've been thinking about how I used to be like. So fun and carefree and I want that back. I've lost a huge part of myself since I've been living here and since I met DH (Not his fault but I have changed slowly over the years until I no longer recognise who I am).
How do I start to rediscover myself and rebecome who I use to be????:confused:

Looks like it's going to be another real hot day. I think I'm going to change into my bikini and take my little man for a swim. I going to take a huge breath and bare all, celulite, pale skin (i'm one of those unfortunate people that can't tan) and big thighs and I'm going to enjoy myself:p

I actually dreamt about the gym last night. I loved going but when my renewal came up we just couldn't afford it so I had to stop going.

I guess it's true that all babies develop differently. I reckon he's definitly going to be an athlete like his father, tht's why he's been so fast to move.
ANGROC - I don't understand what his obsession with our phones are when he has a play phone?
It's funny now. I almost pee'd myself laughing when I told mum, but still I felt so guilty and embarrassed at the time. DH and I were sitting in the lounge room afterwards just waiting for police to turn up!!

Hello Ladies, I'm nowhere near up to date with what's going on but I wanted to pop in and say hi :wave:.
I really miss bubhub but time is not on my side these days and facebook is my one connection to you all.
Are you all in shock that our babies will be one in only a matter of weeks?! I am. The twins are crawling and climbing over EVERYTHING! They have no fear, they'll give anything a go. The other day they helped each other to tip over a full washing basket and then climb on top but of course only one could fit so they had a bit of biffo over that. Astrid won.
They are babbling and chatting away constantly and talk to each other in what I can only assume is their own little language because they seem to understand each other and every now and then burst into laughter at some private joke.
They are keeping me up all bl**dy night it seems and I am sure they are getting some more teeth but I just wish they'd hurry up and come thru, dammit!
I am still breastfeeding, although not both of them together now because it would just be physically impossible. Apart from pulling each others hair/ears/eyelids, they both enjoy doing acrobatics whilst on the boob.
Astrid is driving me nuts with not keeping her hearing aids in. All day long she takes them out and I put them in. They have had to go to be fixed because they are so full of drool. She's a very dribbly little person and her 'ears' were getting all corroded inside because she takes them off and, of course, puts them in her mouth. When she isn't taking them off, Rylan is. :hair:
I just checked the weather forecast and am so looking forward to some cooler weather early next week. I hope the rest of you get it too, especially those of you in Melbourne and Adelaide. It must be unbearable atm.
I am seriously going to try and catch up on the goss as I am sure I've missed lots.
Freya has a fairytale themed birthday party to go to tomorrow and she is wearing her little mermaid costume. I thought about doing something for Astrid and Rylan and then decided it was too hard and then had a sudden rush of blood to the head about an hour ago and made some slapdash Hansel and Gretel outfits. They're pretty dodgy but I think they'll be cute. Will post pics.

Well it's early.
Ryder started crying at 4:30 this morning so I put him in our bed but after struggling with him for over an hour( meaning him pulling hair, trying to poke out my eyes, pick my nose, pull my earings out) I decided to get up.
DH is still in bed. Apparently because he works during the week he is entitled to a sleep in. Hmmm I wonder what he thinks I do all day??
I hope he's going to give me the same courtesy tomorrow morning.
I'm trying to eat my breakfast with Ryder pulling at my leg, apparently the only thing I'm allowed to do these days are to sit in the one position and hold him.:rolleyes:
I'm not allowed to take the garbage out, hang out the washing, go to the toilet or eat. If I do any of these things or even look like I'm about to, he screams. It sounds like he's being murdered, I can hear him all the way down our driveway.
(I think he's going through some serious abandonment issues:o).
I don't have anything planned for this weekend (except maybe a mama nap:sleeping:).
I've been rediscovering a few things about the old me, here some of them are -
I like to read Thriller / Horror novels. I also love the "Tomorrow Series".
I used to be such a good writer and loved writing. I am considering participating in a Creative Writing Course sometime this year.
I love white chocolate and have a huge sweet tooth
I love cooking, but cooking for fun not as a job
I absoluely loved my job at the Council. I enjoyed continuously being challenged and adored working with and for animals (rescuing them from homes, etc).
That's just to begin with. I've been trying to pinpoint when I started changing and it was after DH'S best friend gave me such a hard time. It went on atleast 2 years and it was horrible. The things he would do and say about me, they really hurt and I think that's where it all started.
I'm building myself up again piece by piece.
ASHLYN - It was so good to hear from you and to hear about the twinnies. It sure sounds like they are keeping you on your toes!!
I'm sorry you're not sleeping. Ryder was doing the same to me for weeks. I felt like such a zombie. It was an absolutely awful time.
He's gotten out of that but every now and then gets back into the habit.

Hails - sounds like you are really getting to know yourself again. Hope it's a good journey. Have you tried setting up a blog? I say this as I've just started on myself. I find journal-ing/writing such a great way to work life out!! Not much sleep overnight here either. To hot and the kids just kept waking up!
Ashlyn so nice to hear from you. The twins sound so cute. Must be amazing to watch them chatting and seeming to understand each other. Must be that twin thing people talk about!
Not much more to say. I'm stupefied by the heat and so sick of hearing myself complain about it. The 4 yo dd has gastro as well. Poor thing - the only thing I can think of worse than 44 degrees is having gastro in 44 degrees heat. I've got her onto the hydrolyte - even if she doesn't need it yet - I don't care I just want to make sure she doesn't get dehydrated. So far she doesn't seem to have passed it onto the rest of the family - so that is a blessing!!!
I can't believe it's cold and snowing in London. I have a fb friend there who posted pics. Amazing!! (yes I am totally obsessed with weather atm!!)
Anyhow hope everyone is doing well and has a great weekend.

I know it's been awhile but i'm finally settled into our new state and new house and getting some normality back into my life.:D
I haven't had a chance to look back at what's been going because after all it has been around 3 long motnhs since I last posted:eek:!!! So anyone feel free to give me a run down on what's news. I hope everyone is keeping really well and those precious little bubs of ours are not causing too much grief:laughing:.
So until I get updated i'll just give you my latest. We left Adelaide in November and went to my Mum & Dad's for 6, yes that's right 6 weeks until our house was available. Which actually worked out well because it was over xmas and all. We moved into our house on 7th Jan here in sunny:sunshine:, and oh so bloody hot, Singleton and pretty much have done not much except organise places for all our **** to go. Mackenzie started at her new school a couple of weeks ago and is loving it, made a couple of friends already which is nice. Ava started at daycare the same week as Mackenzie and again absolutely loves it. So all in all it's worked out well.
As for my April boy, Lawson, he is powering along. I just had him weighed for the first time in 4 months yesterday and he's weighing in at a hefty 8.7kg and 75cms long, so doing pretty well. I weaned him just before we left Adelaide and he's never looked back. He's crawling flat out and pulling himself up on everything, sleeping through the night and just getting spoilt rotten by his 2 older sisters.
Ok enough of boring you with my tale, I can't wait to get back into my hubbing, I've really missed you guys.

hailsntwang I am very glad April isn't like that. I thought she was bad because she hates it when I am on the computer (gets in under the table, under my feet, or hangs off the chair, wants to be picked up) but when I am doing anything else generally she doesn't mind at all! This BF of your DH sounds like a piece of work I hope you have a fun journey discovering yourself again. Is the tomorrow series the one with Tomorrow when the war began? I really liked that book but haven't read the rest. I am in the middle of reading the Twilight series which is good.
Noah's Mum :laughing: about the biggest looser thing. My sister & I were saying how we watch that eating the most bad foods. Last time I watched I was eating domino's & feeling really bad :o.
GUESS WHAT! April is turning into a vampire! I think it's because of my recent obsession with Twilight :laughing:. She is getting two more teeth at the same time & they are her incisors! She doesn't even have any other of her top teeth yet & only her middle two bottom ones. If they come through heaps before the middle ones do she'll look like a vampire, haha. I think it'll be super cute & I am so excited she is getting more teeth. She doesn't seem to be too affected by them though. When will she really start feeling it?

Hi April Mummies - just need a little bub hub debrief about the fires!
My Goodness what a weekend it's been down here in Victoria. I'm feeling really overwhelmed with all the sad stories and heartbreak atm. As I'm sure you'll all understand reading reports of mums dying in their homes with their children huddled with them is just too much to take in. I think the more kids I have the softer I get and the more other peoples pain seems to pierce my heart. I especially struggle with any mummy or child things. Was just talking to dh and we agreed then only thing we can do is really really appreciate what we have. Our family and our home. You feel so helpless knowing you can really do anything to help.
The fires in Bendigo was about 8km from our place and after a bit of a fright to begin with it never really threaten us. Several friends were evacuated and it sounds like 50 home were lost along with one life. And that is nothing compared to what has happened closer to Melbourne. I just can't take it in. How could over 700 houses be gone - let alone 70 odd lives. It's just too much.
Hails - hope things are still okay up your way. How far are you from Beechworth? Might just have to check Benella out on the map - haven't been up that way in years myself.
Are any of our other hubber close to fire areas? I'm sure all the Melbourne guys have seen and smelt the smoke - must be pretty chronic down there.
On a positive note it's so nice to have some cooler weather. The girls were so happy to be able to cuddle under their doonas when I put them to bed. We actually had a BBQ and ate outside tonight. Mate it was nice to feel the freshness in the air again.
Ok - better stop rambling. For some reason it feels good to express my feelings out all this. Hope no one minds.

Hey ladies.
The smoke got incrediably thick last night for an hour or so and then just as suddenly it vanished.
Apparently a fire lit up in Glenrowan and warrenbayne which are on opposite sides of Benalla.
Last time when those fires went through Tatong and Molyullah (about 2 years ago) we were right in the danger zone, this year thankgod we have made it through unscathed.
I just can not get my mind around what has happened. My brothers are going through one of the worst floods in qld and we are going through the worst bushfire in history.:no:
Yesterday Ryder split his top gum open. He was trying to run (smart hey) and fell and hit his top lip on the coffee table. I have never heard his scream so loud and there was blood everywhere.
It's the first time I've seen him bleed so of cause I panicked a little bit.
A wet washer later and it was all good. Poor little fella though still has a fat lip from it:(
Not much else to report. Still no AF and I haven't tested again. I still get waves of nausea but that's about it so I really don't think i'm pregnant.
I'm very late (about 2-3 weeks) but im not going to stress about it too much now. It will happen when it happens.

I have had the most frustrating 2 nights in a row with Ryder.
He goes to bed at 9:00pm (after you have to nurse him to sleep), but then he's up, wide eyed and bushy tailed at 1:ooam.
You try to put him bed with you and all he does is kick you, scratch you, poke you, try and pull your ears off and your hair out.
Got to 3:00am this morning and I gave up, brought him out to the lounge room and I crawled into a little ball on the couch and cried my eyes out.:crying::crying:
Even allowing him to roam free didn't work though, he just wanted to be held by mummy.
Where have I gone wrong?? He was doing so well. Sure, he needs to be held to fall asleep but once he was in his bed we wouldn't hear from him until 6:00am the following morning.
He's so clingy during the day. I can't have a shower, go to the toilet, eat my lunch, have a drink or go out side without him screaming.
it's really starting to stress me out and I find myself cringing when I know I have to leave his sight.
Oh, I've also cancelled my Dr's appointment today. We had a huge power bill come in and I can't waste the $60.00 it was going to cost me to go see the Dr. (we are not on healthcare).
I'm just going to be patient. At the moment though, after these past couple of nights,I'm not really bothered too much about when or it it happens.
I just need to focus on getting through the days.

I gave him heaps of toys for the kids (teddy bears, building blocks, books - anything to help keep them distracted).
I gave them a pram that I bought and then never used because I found another one I really liked. This pram is brand new, in perfect condition. THe only reason why I didn't use it is because it didnt' have swivel wheels.
Gave heaps of towels, facewashers and some blankets.
I also made a dollar donation.
My mind still finds it hard to process everything
they have been through.:hissy:
BEX - I'm alright with blood but I'm really sqeamish when it comes to broken bones, dislocations and so on. I am not looking forward to when those days arrive. That will be his father's job for sure.
Anyway, the wind has just picked up again. It's really strong. I really hope it dies down. The last thing we need is strong wind again.
Oh for those that didn't know. We called up my uncle in THREE BRIDGES to make sure he was safe. (he has the yarra ranges in front of him and the bunyip state forest behind him) he answered the phone screaming 'gotta go, can't talk, it's coming. THe fire is coming" and hung up.
Mum got in contact with him again yesterday and the fire had changed direction again, however they are still in danger and have decided to stay and fight.
I was hoping they would learn from the other people's outcomes but obviously not.

HailsNTwang, I hope everything is okay! These fires are just devastating, I was even getting worried about some of my friends in small towns... it's just awful... I havn't actually had news from some people which makes me think bad things... just have to stay positive...

Hails...... be kind to yourself. Sleep deprivation is really tough and does make you very weepy and emotional. As little as it helps all you can do is keep reminding yourself it will pass. I don't think you've probably done anything wrong. I think it's got a lot to do with personalities. Some babies are just clingy when they are sick or teething. All three of mine have sort comfort in different ways. The eldest has a teddy bear she adores and won't sleep without, Georgie has a blanket she likes to hold onto and the middle one had me! She still wakes up in the night and calls me for no apparent reason. (the teddy and blanky are much easier I must say!) but unfortunately we don't get to choose their personalities. Hope it passes quickly and it's just teeth or something. Anyway - just be kind to yourself. Your doing a great job!! And this to will pass and you will get full nights sleep again - hopefully very soon! :hugs:
Hope your family are still doing ok with the fires. I wish they could get them out. Sorry you had to cancell your gp appointment. Are there any gps up your way who bulk bill? Dont' think many do these days!

Hails, clinginess is very common. When Liam was this young, if I left the room he screamed blue murder. They DO get over it eventually - but it's tough.
Millie woke 5 times last night and wouldn't settle for DP, just me. It's a PITA but I'm programmed to run on very little sleep now :)
Has anyone else stll got bubs rearward facing? Millie is only 7kg (still below the charts :crying:) so we haven't turned her yet for her own safety, but she is keeps screaming when we put her in. Taking her out is getting very stressful, but I'm hesitant to move her around in case we are involved in an accident.

Cheezelkat, with my first son I turned him forward facing at about 8 months. Then last year I did some research and saw the effects on a baby's neck when forward facing and if (God forbid) the car is in an accident. It scared me enough to continue keeping DS2 reward facing. He's 10 months today but only 8.1 kgs so I'm planning to continue until he's atleast one. Australia is really far behind with car safety and are currently trying to bring in stricter regulations.

Hails, I don't really have any advice for you. DS2 spent most of his first 7 months crying so I know the frustration it causes. I guess it kind of gets to the point where if you know they are fed, changed, had some mummy cuddles, then maybe just a little grizzle will help. Of course, leaving them somewhere safe (play pen or cot), while you get a few minutes time to yourself.
Hails - Huni I really feel for you, a friend told me that at 10months old babies go through a separation thing and are very clingy to there mums.. The lack of sleep doesn’t help either which is why your bursting into tears, I just wish I was there to give you a hug.. I hope your uncle is ok, any news?

Just letting you all know that I am ok. We had a fire not more then 20km north west of my house but it got put out pretty quick. (The CFA are gods!)
Haven't heard from my uncle but we haven't received any bad news either. I've been regulary checking on DSE and at the moment the fire doesn't appear to be close enough to cause him harm.
I had a much better sleep last night. I slipped some Phenergon into his last bottle and he slept through to 1:00am but then went back to sleep without too much of a struggle once in our bed.
I feel like the biggest sook now. :o
PHOENIX RISING - I have my :fingerscrossed: that you hear from your friends soon. Have you called up the Red Cross registration hotline. Maybe they have registered their details??

He hated facing backwards ever since he could life his head. If he couldn't see us he was not too happy about it.

It still leaves me in tears whenever it's on tv.
I hope that out of this tragedy building regulations will change.
I hope that the use of more fire retardent materials are required when building in the bush. Perhaps even a 'Fire Proof Cellar' should be enforced.

Well girls as for the details of the job…..
It’s with Cott0n 0n at their head office doing a retail administration role and considering how much they have grown in the past year I can only imagine they will continue which means great job opportunity. And you can wear semi casual clothes which is fantastic.
It’s 8.30 – 5.30 Mon – Fri so full time and with no family here Evie would have to go in daycare and so far I can’t find a centre with full time availabilities.
And I don’t know if I can leave her, I feel like I wouldn’t be raising my child so to speak (no offense to anyone doing childcare just how I feel) Like she would be seeing daycare people more than her mum and dad and I don’t know how to deal with it the worst part was Matt straight away told all his family so now I am going to feel like a disappointment if I don’t accept and also my dad is disappointed cause he thinks I should stay at home while I could manage….
I mean we are surviving but to get ahead in life and to own a home and be comfortable I really need the job L And at the moment finding a job is harder than getting Evie to sit still for 5 mins so I can’t really look a gift horse in the mouth iykwim….so I’m all confused.
Well as for Miss E she is doing well (apart from sleeping in our bed the past two nights) she is walking everywhere now and is striking poses for the camera lol she is so funny…growing up way too quickly and I don’t want to miss out on any of it

Jess - YAY It’s a hard decision to make if it was part time yeah no worries you could jump right in to it, full time there is a lot to think about.. I know for me I couldn’t do and I didn’t I felt the same as you, I couldn’t bear the thought of being away from him for so long, I now do nightfill at woolies.. It does get easier having them in daycare. Noah only goes 1 day a week and I keep myself super busy through the day, I know 1 day is completely different to 5.. Can you get part time work or even nightfill work at a supermarket?? It’s a big decision to make and don’t be to hard on yourself a lot of parents have to go back full time.. You will make the right decision for you and your family

Maybe it's just the PG hormones but I feel a sense of loss like it's the end of a really great part of my life. due in October girls are great but it just doesn feel the same as us april mums did. I doesn feel as close and supportive as we did. It's kinda segregated. Made me realise how special us group of mummas where and now that chapter is over.

I have been half @rse cleaning the house lately, just doing what I have to and I am really feeling the need to have a good spring clean but dont really have to energy. Poppy is a bit off today. For the last couple of days her appetite has been way down and this morning she woke with a temp. Luckily I think she is just teething again as her fingers are always in her mouth. Hopefully it doesnt last too long this time, I hate seeing her in pain.

I've been feeling meh lately as well - quite run down.
Orientation starts next week, then classes start the week after :thumbsup: The kids start full time daycare then - well 4 days a week, they will be home on Tuesdays.
I can't believe our babies are almost one! I've already decided on the cake for Moo's party - a Millie-pede :D
Jess, good luck with it all. Starting DC can be quite hard as a mum - Millie still protests when I drop her off, but they do get used to it. Liam's been at his centre for almost 18 months and he's always talking about how much he loves it. Millie made me a Valentines day card at kindy - my heart melted! :cloud9:

Thanks for understanding my nestalgic rant.
Meggs- My advise take a spare bra and top on the plain I learnt that the hard way when DS1 spewed straight down the front of my top and it pooled in my bra. The rest of the flight I kept getting wafting up chuck smells no matter how much I wiped.

AFM DS2 goes in for his hyperspadious op on thurs bit of a shock they rang today saying they had an opening on thurs and they would like to book him in. Thats DH birthday to so fun fun for him lol. I am so nervous I have known he has needed it since birth but now its happening and with such short notice I am scared out. So worried about complications. I mean my 2 year old is going to be knocked out on a table be cut and stitched.

Sorry for always being a disappearing mummy. Between work, Charlotte, getting ready for our holiday and house work I feel like I need about 40 hours a day.

Sorry I haven't been on for a while but my sister has got my addicted to the TWILIGHT books and I havent' been able to put them down.
I didn't think I would like them (I hate romance stories) but I do. For once, me and her are on the same page!!lol.
Welcome LOVELYMUM08. This group is fantastic. My son is Ryder and he was born 13th April at 12:01am.
He's walking now although is still refusing to say anything besids - WUBWUBWUB. I know and he knows he can talk he just wants to drive us crazy.
I'm not to keen on throwing him a birthday party yet. I'm tempted to put a party hat on his head, put some candles on a cake and take some photos and later in life tell him what a fabulous birthday he had.:laughing:
We might end up just having dinner at Nanna's on the Sunday night and the other Nanna's on the Monday night.
MEGGS - I have a car and can drive down to meet you. Ryder hates car trips at the moment (he's going through the wriggly stage and hates being confined), but he can't always rule the roost.

Bex, goodluck for tomorrow! I know what you mean about the nostalgia - I was thinking about how great this thread was during my pregnancy and how I couldn't have done the whole thing without you all.
Majeevch, great work on securing the job - it sounds awesome - will be wonderful if Evie can stay with family. I would give anything for baby to spend time with the family when I work. Limited family means that's not on! You are right about Daycare people becoming like a family - and I feel weird about it... but I have no choice. So proud of you getting the job - I think you'll be so great.
Baby is now signed up with a modelling agency, so funny - when I took her in guess who else they wanted to sign up - little old me! hahaha - v.funny and kind of embarrassing. Been a long time since anyone has wanted me to model! haha...

PR - The shots are gorgeous! Evie was going to do modelling till I got the job but can't happen now :( But I feel your pain about family not being close ah well our girls will be great anyway, I'm lucky as Torqs being a small town I actually play basketball with one of the girls who work in the daycare and the one in the nursery room I played against tonight so that makes me a little relieved but I have a feeling our girls are way to indepent already :D And good work on the modelling offer for you too lol! You should so do it if you can and get some free time!

Sorry I am not really around at the moment, I am so incredibly tired :sleeping: and it is really hard to focus on anything. This bubba feels like it is sucking all the energy out of me. Things have been good here although I had an extremely bad day with Ryder yesterday. He just would not settle down from wingeing. I really hope he grows out of this stage quick smart!
JESS - Congratulations on the job. How are you going with finding daycare for Evie. If I lived up that way I would babysit her for you. Hmmm, maybe a possibility for the future.
ANGROC - Hope bubs lets up soon. How far are you along now?? It's so exciting and I'm still kind of jealous - lol!!! It's only a matter of time for me, I've just got to find my AF.:p
PR - I haven't looked at the shots yet but I will as soon as I finish here. I always wanted to sign Ryder up (you can never have too many rangers in advertising, it's a plus that he has such a gorgeous colour), however we live ages away from any modelling agency.

how is everyone? we're all good here, DD got her 6th tooth in recently but still hasn't hit the 8kg mark....
her dad is still being a tool (no surprise there!), i'm still on my diet (only lost 2.4kg in 2 weeks but it's an ongoing process so a loss is a loss as they say), and today i went on a date!!!!!!!

Not much going on here. I have blisters all over my hands from pruning our trees yesterday. I was only going to do one but got carried away and did the whole front garden!

Had poker night last night and it was great. They were all DH's mates from work, none brought their partners but it didnt' really matter. I fit in pretty well.
Having dinner at mum's tonight. She's not the best cook around but hey a free meal is a free meal:p
I'm off to see Meggs on Wednesday. Should be good to finally meet someone from here.

Nate's tests all came back clear.. so now have to wait until 17/04
He starts at Daycare on Wed for a few hours - just one day a week at the moment to see how he goes.. I'm going to get a haircut and come home *its a 36km round trip* and get some housework done and cook them a scrummy dinner.... I will swap car's with DH after I drop him off and he will bring him home after he knocks off work

Hails - I hope he is walking soon he gets so frustrated with himself sometimes when he can’t get somewhere quick enough.. Noah is having a party at lollipops play land the day before his birthday with all his little friends, then on his birthday I think DH and I will just do something together then let all the other family see him later in the day.. How did you go at poker?

Hails - Good work on the gardening effort. I got out into our garden yesterday too. It was an impromptu effort and ended up having to cut off all of my nails last night :) I love gardening! Did you kick butt at poker? Has your Af still not shown up? OMG that has been a long time for you! I am almost 9 weeks along and it seems to be going really fast. I dont seem to be thinking about it as much as last time which is a good thing. I am enjoying the first trimester a bit more because I am not stressing about EVERYTHING lol.
mum2a - Yay for the date! Details? Do you think you will go out with him again?
PR - Wahoo for DD getting a modeling job and pos one for you too :) What happened with your guy? I thought he was a good one, or was that just on paper after all?

AFM - I am doing pretty well, still super tired although I think having Poppy wake at 4am this morning isnt helping things lol. As I said to Hails, I am no where near as worried with this pg as I am not over analysing everything. It is a nice change. I know if something happens, it will happen and I also know what to expect in the coming months too so it is alot easier this time round. Poppy is doing really well. She now weighs 8.8kg, has 6 teeth (and some more on the way if all the drool counts for anything), is absloutely desperate to walk and takes a few steps then gets all excited and out come the happy feet, then the stacks lol.
Mum and SD now live down here (yay :)) and I have been spending loads of time with mum which I have been loving. I didnt realise how much I missed having her near over the last 12 years. It is DH's birthday today so I am off to the seafood shop to get some prawns for his dinner tonight - none for me :(.

:wave: quick update b4 i put ruby to sleep coz dh is here.. (she has 2 naps when he is home and only 1 nap when he is at tafe..) likes to be mean for mummy..
anyway shes 10.5months old. still only 2 teeth. desperately trying to walk. and likes to stand unaided ballerina style. one hand above her head. one hand down. but both feet on the floor. very cute.
seth is going a bit backwards at the moment because we introduced gluten again and well lets just say huge difference.. when we can were going to test him for an intollerance and get him on the gluten free diet again.
but he is doing well with ruby and being gentle. he is giving us kisses and cuddles but only when he wants. which is awsome.
autism playgroup is putting him out of his comfort zone but as long as he doesnt meltdown its good.:yes:
we havent had one for a while.:fingerscrossed:
sleep with both babies is a huge struggle. me and dh are living zombies. but were coping.. we have to. we have no help from anyone.... yet

AFM - I had my BT today and there is something happening just not much so i have to go back on Wednesday for another BT.. i know i can't rush these things i'm a little disappointed i was hoping to have a transfer on Wednesday

ANGROC - Nope, still no AF. I haven't had anything since the 30th December. Quite a long time.

I am beyond frustrated with Ryder and his sleeping.
I've still got to hold him until he falls asleep and he still wakes straight up whenever I try and put him in his cot.
I've tried laying on his sheets to get my scent on them, changing the cot around so it's facing a new direction, control crying, singing, everything and nothing works.
Tried putting him in his cot with a bottle, he just drinks the bottle, throws the bottle and then starts screaming for me.
I am well and truelly over it. I don't want to have to sit for 2 hours everyday holding him whilst he sleeps just so he stays asleep.
Everything I can't do when he is awake, (anything that requires me leaving the room because then he screams), I can't even do when he's asleep.
This kid is really getting the best of me.
I keep getting PMS without the actual period and that's adding to the situation too.
Ok, that's my "poor me" for the day!!

:hugs: Hails. I went through the same thing with Poppy when she was about 7mths old and it nearly did my head in. I found that putting her in her cot with a bottle after I had rocked her for a bit and made her nice and relaxed was the key. I didnt let her fall asleep in my arms as it was a major comfort thing for her. I always left her door open too and if she did get up on the side of her cot I would go straight back in there and lay her down and walk straight back out again, no matter how many times it took. She eventually learned lol! I hope it doesnt carry on too much longer for you. Have you been to the docs re your af? It seem strange that it still hasnt come back after all that time, especially if you were fairly regular prior to that. I will be 9 weeks tomorrow and I already have a little podge lol. Mum even commented on it yesterday! I am just waiting for the comments to start from total strangers again - oh, you are so small, oh, you are so big, you must be having twins etc. Grrr!
Noahs mum - just wait till Noah starts asking for Pool parties! How fun!!!
What is everyone getting for their bubs first birthday? I am sooo stuck. I wanted to get Poppy a bracelet but she got 2 for christmas and now I am drawing a blank!! The only other thing I can think of is a nice frame with a piccy of the three of us in it. I have already lay byed some toys and clothes for her (like she needs more lol)
We are not up to much today, I am just cleaning and going to the library (fun, fun). Tomorrow Poppy has a play date with my friends twinnies. I cant wait, they are adorable and Poppy gets on with them really well. Friday is another play date (hopefully) with the Brissie mums and bubs. The rest of the week should be good!
My washing machine is beeping at me now so I had better go. Have a good day girls! Oh, if you have trouble reading this it is because i have lost my glasses and cant really see lol. So sorry in advance :)

Well we were meant to have gone to visit Meggs on Wednesday but Ryder has been in one horrible mood after another and it just wasn't worth it.
He screams on any car trip at the moment so an hour and a bit with a screaming baby would have made the trip more stressful then pleasurable.
I was really excited about going but sometimes you need to bite the bullet.:thumbsdown:
Late wednesday night I say three more teeth trying to make an appearance so that is why he's been so horrible.
On a higher note I have rejoined the gym. I am so achy from some really intense training sessions but it feels so damn good!:smiliedance:
I have informed them that my intentions are to fall pregnant as soon as possible so they will modify my training sessions for when that happens.
On the pregnancy front, I took a pregnancy test yesterday and It was negitive (I knew it would be). If AF hasn't started by the second week of March I'm going to the Doctor for sure.
I can't fall pregnant if I don't ovulate and get my af, so I would prefer to have this matter fixed as soon as possible.
I'm really looking forward to next weekend.
Andrew and I are going to Melbourne for 2 nights alone. We are going up for an engagement party on the Saturday but Mum said due to us not having a honeymoon she will look after Ryder for the whole weekend so we can have an extra night to ourselves. I love my mum:valentine:
We're staying in a hotel right in the CBD. I'm so excited.
TGO - I hope the flu has gone. Poor Nate, has he gone to daycare yet?

Hi ladies
Well what a weekend have I had!
I had coffee with my heavily pregnant friend on Friday morning and whilst I was there I received a text from my cousin.
His wife gave birth to their first child at 10:05am Friday morning, a little boy called Tristin-Lee.
On saturday morning I recieved a text from my heavily pregnant friend saying that her waters had broke and that she was in labour.
All day I kept getting updated messages. She was using the TENS maching and it was working up to a certain point, 14 hours in she ended up with an epidural which allowed her to get some sleep.
Lachlan Patrick was born at 10:30pm Saturday night by natural delivery, 9 pound 3 - the exact same weight as Ryder.
His dad was born on a leap year and celebrates his birthday on the 28th Feb so he has now changed it to the 1st March:laughing:
He says it was the best birthday present ever!
So that was two babies within two days.
Last night when we got home from Mum's for dinner Ryder was so tired. Normally I would sit on the couch and hold him until he fell asleep but I had had enough so I put him in his cot with his bottle and left the room.
I went in ever 10 minutes or so and put him back down in a lying position. after 40 minutes of crying on and off he went to sleep.
I felt guilty as h*ll that he went to sleep screaming and wanting his mum, but it had to be done:(
I'm going to keep trying to do this so soon he will hopefully get the hint about sleep time and not fight it so much anymore.
I'm off to see my friend and her newborn this morning and am so excited!

Im back from holiday...was a little stressful travelling and had lots of teething issues but otherwise am glad we went though missed meeting Hails and Ryder but will def do it sometime hehe....
