Car rental from Heathrow

Hi there,
I'm looking to hire a car from Heathrow when we go in April. I've hired twice before from Alamo which involves getting a free shuttle bus to the Alamo office to pick up the car. But, this time I'll have my 10mth old with me - so how do I get from the airport to the office to pick up the car as I'll need a child seat for the baby. Now the shuttle buses don't have them so what do I do. It'll be just me and DD so it's not like someone can go pick up the car and then come back to the terminal for me and DD. I emailed Alamo and they were of no help whatsoever. Has anyone got any experience of this???

We have also hired with Alamo when dd was eight months and fourteen months. I just took the shuttle bus and had dd on my knee. Its not ideal but I cant see any other way of doing it.

I have taken shuttle buses from heathrow too. The law in UK is the same as oz - you don't require a car seat in a bus or taxi. It's not ideal, but you have to do what you have to do, basically.
