Having 2nd Thoughts Again...

Well as a lot of you probably know, DF and i had pretty much decided on Imogen Rose...but now i dont know, i think im just having 2nd thoughts coz the birth is so close!

Lately i have been loving the name Abbey Rose....I dont know how i would spell it...Abbey, Abby, Abbie??

So tell me please girls, be honest. Do you prefer Abbey (spelling?) or Imogen better? Or do you not like both names??

NattieB, Abbie is a beautiful name....but lol I have noticed that Betsabe is quite arrrh blunt when saying they like a name or not....i remember Betsabe writing something mean about about the name Annaliese and saying something like it reminds them of Anal Liese :eek: (i love love love Annaliese by the way)..but I don't think they are doing it to be deliberately rude....they are just saying the first thing that comes to mind which is kinda refreshing imo (too many ppl tip toe all the time)

Anyway...don't take it too personally...even though Betsabe might have made a negative comment...i'm sure there is a thousand more that have postive comments and love the name Abbie!!:hugs:

I love both names actually. But i have to disagree with Betsabe and say that i think Imogen is a lot more common than Abbey now.

My pick would be Abbey Rose.:)

I think Imogen Rose and Abbie Rose are both gorgeous names. I must admit though I love the name Abbie Rose a tad more as my neice is called Abbie Rose. :smiliedance:

They're both gorgeous names. There's someone in the 'Due in Sept' thread (SammyD) who is calling her daughter Abbie Rose.

Re: common. It probably varies depending on what state you're in, but according to the NSW Births Deaths Marriages website, there were 129 Imogens born in NSW last year and 100 Abbys. So I wouldn't call either of them 'common', when you think of how many babies are born!

Love the name Abbie but prefer shortened names when they are actually shortened from something, although Abbie has sort of become a name in its own right now hasn't it?

I have never really been a huge fan of Imogen.....seems to unique for me. I am all for unique names but for some reason I am just not a fan. anyway I love Abbie Rose....very pretty. How about you keep the two names in mind and then see which one seems to fit when she is born?
