Although she is 16 weeks old Now & Not Braaaan New anymore :P
I thought I would share her Birth!
I will just say b4 you read it- that the moment we found out we were pregnant with Her- We started Planning a Homebirth- It was just the end of it- we decided against it- We couldn't justify the 3 k on a mw coming over to watch me birth her. .
I got into the Mater Midwifery Practice- which was just fabulous.

So- I had woken up Early Sunday morning(31st Aug) to a contraction- I didn't think much of it- as I didn't for the day- they were few and far between that's for sure.( I had these same pains for like 2 weeks)
I felt no different- Just irritated because these things wouldn't leave me alone.
Carolyn came at midday for our Apt(Our MW), Did an Internal to see if anything was going on
Anyway after she left- I called her an hour or so later and said "They're more painful- is that just because you had your arm up my vagi" LMAO
She said it probably was(oops haha)
ANyway- still they were I don't know every hour or something- anyway come I think 5pm they were every 7 mins- but they would only be at 7 mins IF i kept active- If i sat on my bed - i was counting passed the 8 , 9 and 10 min- so i would jump up and walk around Thinking to myself"oh no, You're not stopping on me" lol
So Court(1 of My Younger Sisters) & I just sort of walked around the house- I was in the bedroom and had a contraction- then all of a sudden another one hit and I keeled over the bassinette- as I did that "Pop" and my waters burst all over the floor-
I called for Court to come in and grab me a towel- called carolyn laughing, then called my gran- 3 mins after my waters broke a contraction hit- i was on the phone to gran- then another one hit- so i yelled for court to turn the shower on- I jumped in and had a contraction in there- yelled "TIME" to her- to see how far apart it was as it didn't feel long-
Oh ****- it was only 2 minutes after the last one--- Hmmm okay It's okay- Stood in the shower washing my show off .. LOL then another one hit so i jumped out
As I got out & Court was drying me another one hit & My body started pushing- I was leaning against our Dresser.
She called Carolyn and told her what was happening- then I had another contraction & Told Court I needed to get on the bed- So she threw my towel on the bed and I jumped up- That's when the next contraction hit & I pushed & Her head started crowning - Court was screaming- then she called the ambulance and they didn't believe her "no , no have another look it wouldnt be the head"
"It's THE F**KIN HEAD , I CAN SEE IT"
She hung up on them after giving them the addy because they still didn't think it was the head lol
The 2nd contraction on the bed hit & Her Head made an entrance into the world- The Kids walked in after hearing me have a good yell lol & Terry bowled in after them & Took them into the loungeroom
with the 3rd Contraction Court Pulled her out & We both Pulled her up onto my chest- Gave her back a good rub & There she went- The most beautiful sound in the world-
As Court Pulled her up onto my chest- Terry & The kids walked in- and i remember so very clearly Jordan jumping on the bed and saying "YEY THE BABY IS HERE"
I then looked over to my left and Court was standing next to me- thee most vivid memory of the whole birth was that moment we locked eyes- and both ended up bawling- To have her there- not only to witness this- but to deliver her niece was just mind blowing- it was about 15 seconds we just stared and cried and both said "we did it"
Then the ambulance walked in & had a laugh- they were pi*sed because they missed it lol
Anyway- After that - they carted me off to the hospital- and on the way I birthed the Placenta on my own- and after the rest had come out- everything went- every bit of pain.
Jaz fed the whole way to the hospital.
Carolyn has written my labour officially as 24 Minutes from Time of Waters Breaking- I would probably give it an hour I suppose with those contractions beforehand
Court and Terry dropped the kids off at a mates- and Picked Brie(our Baby sis(15)) up & they came up
& we all just sat around laughing and replaying the whole "sunday NIght" LOL
Then I had a shower- Got changed- Had Jaz checked by the Paed - then off we went home- and it's been perfect ever since
Weighing in at 8 lbs 5oz
50cm, with a 34cm Head circ
on the 31st of August 2008- 6.09pm
She has thee most beautiful Thick Jet Black hair
I do have Pics- But am unsure on here- if I can just use an IMG code- or if I have to do something else :)
They're not awfully graphic, as Court didn't have time to take them during the birth lol
