Cobey responds well to books, and now that chook's a girl (so they say, she was very confident though and the legs were well apart :p... as in feet over her head ) I'd like to find some books about mummy being pregnant and a Big Brother getting a Little Sister or something like that?

Any recommendations?

'Theres a house inside my mummy' by Gils Andrae was my DD1's bible during my pregnancy with DD2 - we read it a few times every day, DH and I know it off by heart.

Check out your local library, often they have booklists for these type of topics ie new baby, new brother/sister, first trip to the doctor, dentist etc.

Oh and hope your pregnancy is going well and I'll be interested to see if this bub is a girl....... I still remember when little 'eva' was expected and turned into a Cobey :p

He might be too old for it but there is a (pink!) Spot book about Spot's new baby sister also.

We had there's a house inside my mummy, but DS was a bit too young for it. He went better with the Spot book and we just changed the names of the characters to our names.

Such a gorgeous book, we gave to it to DS for Christmas.

"Daddy's having a Horse" is a good one it has a big brother and sister waiting the arrival of a new sibling (I think it is a boy though) but it is cute and funny but a longish story.
Pamela Allen also has one called "Cuthberts Babies" which is a big brother who's a bit put out when mum comes home with 5 little sisters! but is talks about jealousy a bit and is a nice story.

Otherwise go harrass your local librarian that's what they are there for!

This isnt so much about a new baby being brought into the family, but any of the Charlie and Lola books have a big brother helping out with his little sister.

All the best.
