Hi

I have an eight month old daughter and am returning to work three days per week at the end of January (I have some flexibility with days but they need to be consecutive). We have a childcare place but it is turning out to be a bit of a disaster so I am keen to nanny share with someone in the Prahran/South Yarra/Albert Park/Port Melbourne area.

If you are relatively local to Prahran, have a child of a similar age and are interested in exploring the possibility of nanny sharing or are a Mummy Nanny (i.e. someone with a child who would like to be paid for looking after another) please drop me an email.

Kind regards

Sophie

Hi Sophie,

Are you still looking for someone to nanny share.

We are in Albert Park, and I am about to return to work next month - and not keen on child care (even if there were any available).

I will work 3 or 4 days a week, and our bub is 10 months.

Helen

I'm moving with my family to Melbourne in Feb 2010 for work and I am seeking a nanny share in South Melbourne. My baby boy will be 6 months old.

Also, if anyone has any advice or contacts for nannies, family care or child care in South Melbourne area? Would love to hear from you as I'll be new to the area.

Thanks very much,
jkw11 :)

Hi,

We have a four month old son for whom we would like to organise nanny care. If you are interested in a nanny share opportunity and are in the Prahran / Windsor area please pm me.

Ideally we are looking to share with someone in the local area (South Yarra or Toorak included) who has a baby roughly the same age.

At this stage we are thinking of using a nanny 2-3 days per week, starting in July / August.

We do not have a nanny organised yet, so would also appreciate any recommendations anyone has for finding the right individual.

Many thanks,
Jo.

Hi

I am looking at sharing the cost of a nanny with another mum. I live in Prahran and have a 9 month old son. I am on lots of waiting lists for positions at centres but none have come up as yet. If the share nanny arrangement works I think I will give away the idea of trying to get him into a centre and keep going with a share nanny on a more permanent basis. I need to return to work as soon as I get care for junior.

The days of care i would require would vary from week to week as my work times are flexible. I am happy for you to bring your bub to my place or for us to come to yours. I am in the process of interviewing nannies at the moment so I haven't decided on one, but am happy if you already have one that you prefer. I think the idea of sharing a nanny could work very well firstly for the bubs to be socialised, have better one on one attention and also a little easier on the back pocket too.

Please contact me if interested or if you have any sharing a nanny advice

Hi I have a nanny in Port Melbourne 2 days a week, Wed & Fri, who is happy to take another child, however my Son is 2.5yrs and it would need to be at our house. If you are interested I can ask he to contact you. You could also try City Kids childcare in south melbourne for any vacancy on 03 9681 7774.

Let me know - Pat

Hi There,

I would be interested in meeting to discuss the possibility of nanny sharing. I have also been thinking about this as I am having a hard time getting my daughter into childcare. My daughter is nearly one and I am currently working Mondays and Thursdays, however my mondays are very flexible and I can change this day to a wednesday or friday. If any of this sounds like it would fit with your schedule then let me know.

By the way just a quick question, do you know if the childcare rebate applies on nanny sharing?

You can only get the rebate if the childcare provider is registered with the FAO. Not all of them are... I will be interested in nanny share in Prahran but not until around June 2013 but am interested in hearing how it works...

I'm interested in a nanny share arrangement in this area (I'm in Windsor) starting in late March/early April. My place is pretty small so ideally it would not be at my place...

Looking at anything from 1-3 days. DS will be almost 10 months old.

Also looking for a share nanny from April for my little boy. He will be 10 months then. We live in south yarra and have a very kid friendly home so happy to host. Please let me know if interested. Also if anyone has recently gone through sourcing a share nanny and have any tips they want to share that would be great.
Thanks!
