Patch Testing Results

We had patch testing done on our 14 month old the week before Xmas. After having the patches on for 12 hours he broke out in small raised lumps on his back and torso and by the time the patches came off after 48 hours he had them severe all over his body and some looked like raised red blisters. He reacted to all 6 thingfs we tested for Apple, Banana, Pear, Soy, Wheat and water.

Is that normal to break out in a rash all over? I have emailed Pete Smith with the results but being the holidays it will take a while to get a reply.

did pete get bac to you .. he is generally really good with getting back .. but if you emailed teh results id ring and ask to speak to him ..

sometimes they get caught up in the wrong email box. :rolleyes:

dd reacted to all hers she got small blistery spots on 3 of hers and a rash on the others.. she got tested for wheat. soy ,diary ,eggs, corn and rice i think - the ones she blisterd on are still her worst ones now at 2 yrs old :(

I havn't heard anything from Pete Smith as of yet. I will see if I hear from him this week otherwise I will call. With the Xmas break and everything I assume he is backlogged with emails.

When DS had his patch test he reacted to the actual patch, where the patch had been was just one raised red, weeping, raw rectangle on his back, it didn't spread to other parts of his body though.

Maybe your bub is allergic to the actual patch too?
