Hi :)

I blinked and it's the third trimester  So, the cots needs to be bought (or at least budgeted for adequately). I've had my eye on the Boori Classic but vaguely resent having to pay $800 for a cot and mattress. So that's where the Childcare Kimberley comes in.

It also has two levels for the mattress, is a nice plain white, readily available and is $300 for the cot (and then some for the mattress).

Problem is, there's no reviews of it that I could find online. Has anyone else bought this particular cot? Good? Bad? Ugly?

Should I stop being such a miser and just buy the Boori? (I think *my* queen size bed cost less than that ... )

Hi Beany,
Have you looked on Ebay people usually sell their Boori stuff on there for sometimes a third of the price. You may find a real bargain

Hope this link works for you

I did not find anything on the Kimberley in the choice magazine and online when I did my research. But the whole Childcare range got a really good wrap.

I bought the kimblerley, however with 15 weeks to go I have not used it yet. It goes together really easily too. I am happy with my purchase, and like you could not justify the cost of the boori, I do think choice did a review on that one though (I could be wrong) but chech it out.

Hope this helps

i didn't want to spend a lot on a cot, but ended up buying the boori 'forever' cot.
was the best decision, now i never have to buy DS another bed ever again. and it was so easy to put together, and comes with a massive warranty. it'll last DS for the rest of his life, so the $1000 (including mattress as i got mine from a seconds outlet) was well spent.

but if you really don't want to spend alot, then ikea make cots that are very good for under $300. a friend of mine bought one and she was really happy with it.

I've got a Childcare Kimberley cot which my daughter, now 1, has been sleeping in since she was born. I haven't had any problems with it in that time and am extremely happy with my purchase. hope this helps.

Thanks folks :)

I'm pretty sure I will go with the Kimberley. The way I see it, though it doesn't convert to a bed like a Boori, the $400 will buy a decent bed to take the child into the adolescent years.

Thanks again, everyone :)
