Do you paint the insides of the wardrobes (built-ins), the same colour as the walls????

The walls are a cool blue colour, quite bright, and the doors and frame of the wardrobe will be a Milk white colour (so it has a bit of a yellowish tinge)...

BUT the Milk White, also has to be used for the walls on the baby room...which doesnt have doors on that built-in...

What you think?? DF & I cant decide as we dont know 'how it's usually done'.....

Any ideas???

The insides of DS's room are quite good, but they are a pinkish colour, so would look quite odd if we left it as is...

Nope, Usually I'd pick a white-ish colour for the insides of things. It makes them look lighter and bigger and airier than they really are. :)

We just painted our entire house before moving in and used the same paint throughout, apart from a feature wall in each bedroom. All the builtins were painted the wall colour inside and around the trim we used the same colour, but in a glossy paint.

After painting a 4 bedroom house we were totally over it! It was easier just using the one colour. (its a grey/taupe colour, pretty basic)

Have fun! I really recommend getting some blue painters tape (3M brand) We used it around all the carpet and it made painting really easy - it stuck much better than ordinary masking tape and was easy to remove a few days later.. it took awhile to do, but painting was much quicker.

hmmmm

Well we have open out doors on the built-in, so I decided today well early hours this morning when I couldnt sleep to take the doors off, as DS will need some of his toys in there due to the fact the rest have to go downstairs, as he will no longer have a toy room....

SOOOOOOOOO inside the cupboard is a lighter colour to what the walls are now (before painting), BUT I think with no doors it may look a bit strange to have it 2 different colours....

?????????????????????????? Yeah ??? NO???

It opens the door up soooo much taking the doors off, see we want to eventually get sliding doors on the built-ins, to take up less space...therefor leaving us with MORE usuable space.

I'm getting so excited but now wish we would have done it when I was earlier stages of pregnancy, as now I'm like blah after emptying his wardrode, moving his books out, and taking the doors off and need to rest for a bit... Annoying...lol
