My DS has reflux. I started out using his regular formula (s26gold) with thickener as I had a full tin but I want to change him to an AR formula.

Does anyone swear by/against any brands?

Not sure what an AR formula is :o But I have used heinz on both my kids with no reflux problems. Dont know if it was to do with the formula or not though.

I hope you find something that helps.

tyler used kiarcar AR, its works the best i wouldnt swear by it she still spew,, but works better then the other AR brands i have tryed

I found Karecare AR great for DD, DS just refused to drink anything thickned.

I have used S-26 AR and it has been great! she will still throw up sometimes but i think thats due to me playing with her or bringing her for a burp to early heh

but because she is 6months on Sautrday i will be moving her up to the s-26 progress.. what formula do i give her if she was AR??? so confusing

We moved from Nan Gold to Karicare HA AR and DS hardly :barf: if at all now.

We tried them all and S26 AR was the best one for my DS(and he still spewed alot).

Thankfully he outgrew his reflux when he was 1 ys old.

Hi,

Brooke has been on S26gold since birth and then we switched to AR for mild reflux and we changed back to S26 step 2 a couple months ago .. honestly I had a new baby after using ARgold.

I'm actually gonna keep Brooke on the S26gold step 2 until shes about 14 mths and then start her on "Brownes Junior" milk.

I just thought I would add something just incase any one didn't know this. Before you use the fomula you should shake it all around in the tin. This is because it is sitting on a shelf for so long before being sold all the iron sits at the bottom. I was told this by a 25yr experienced midwife.
My first son was on NAN and had a lot of wind troubles changed him to S26 and loved it was a very happy baby. My second son is on S26 from birth and is the happiest baby ever. :o
