I haven't used this one but am thinking of buying the book for this baby. Used Gina Fords contented little baby book for my twins and it worked well. I was interested in comparing the two though.

Morning,
I bought the book about 2 weeks ago - and haven''t done anything with it - I have read the section applying to us - I dare say just follow what is recommended - we won't start ours until we get back from our holidays interstate - not much help I know:o
Good Luck:hugs:

Mum2Bee - i did buy this book too, as Jessica was getting hard to settle at night there for a while, but have not adopted her routine in full. I did not like the fact that she was saying to keep waking the baby up. I am one of those ppl that think "my baby will wake up when she is ready". I know alot of ppl that get woken and made to get up are grumpy as adults... so imagine how grumpy a baby can get!!
But i have picked out parts of her routine like our Bedtime routine is Dinner, Bath, Book and Bed.
And Jessica is usually awake by 7.30-8.30am so i feed her, then she is usually needing a sleep by 10.30-11am and her next sleep will be at around 2.30-3.30pm.
It takes a while to work out your babies own routine, you just need to work with them, be consistant and it will usually fall into place (most days!!)
Good luck, you will get there.

We have used it with both of our boys. George from birth, he was sleeping through at 2 months! :yelclap:
And Oliver started at about 5 months, and was sleeping through around 6 I think?
Its great, hard work to get into the routine, but once you are in it, its alot easier. :)
Hi Mum2bee
yeah we used the book by tizzie hall from when our bubba was a couple of weeks old, it took a couple of weeks to get bubba into a routine but it worked, we dont follow it strictly by the book, you can make it suit your lifestyle basically.
Now our little girl is 3 1/2 months old and has been sleeping through for the last 3 weeks,
Hope that helps,
Lavin
Hi there,
For those who are using the tizzy hall routine:
Do you wake your baby from their sleep or let them wake naturally. Also, my boy - now 3 months, never sleeps for longer than 40minutes at a time during the day - but i can't resettle him into his second sleep cycle. Any advice?

We have been using it for a few weeks now, I follow the routine which is working really well with E. I don't however follow the waiting 12 minutes of protesting as that is far too upsetting for both of us and I could never let him cry for long at all.
I found after about 10 days he pretty much knows when it is sleep times when I put him down he grizzles for about 5 seconds and goes to sleep. I know her methods can be seen as quite controversial, however we adapted it to suit E and he appears to be thriving on it and is a much happier baby. He is also sleeping for up to 2 hours during the morning and afternoon from having a hit and miss 20-30 powernap twice a day if i am lucky.
It will be interesting to see how things change when he starts solids soon.
