Does anyone get itcy/sore down there (sorry TMI)

Hi there, I'm relatively new to this website but have beeing TTC for quite some time now. I've got a couple of very embarassing questions and just wanted to know if anyone has any info/experiences.

Every few months or so I experience some itchiness down there, I used to just think it was thrush and sometimes bought stuff from the chemist to treat it, other times just put up with the discomfort and waited for it to go away.

Then a couple of years ago asked the Dr about it, she tested and found it was Gardnarella, or also called bacteria vaginosa (something along those lines). She said it wasn't anything too serious, just a build up of bacteria which can be treated with antibiotics or just left to go away by itself. So anyway, I had the symptoms of it this month, around the time I ovulated, but didn't go to the Dr to get it checked out, so I'm just wondering if anyone has heard of this and if they know of it causing any complications when TTC?

I also get those symtpoms, but the Dr is right, It is pretty normal. I miscarried just under 2 weeks ago and was doing some research on any effects this may have on miscarriage. Apparently if the condition gets severe it could cause miscarriage in the 2nd tri of pregnancy... but you'll need to def get this clarified with your doctor as I found this info on the net. I'm not sure if you told the Dr you were TTC?

You also might want to try to take acidophilis lactobacillus capsules, they have really worked for me!

i tell you a funny story about me when i was about 8 or 9. i used to wear these light blue knickerbockers.........remember those and there was this crutch seam that used to be quite big and made me itchy?????? don't know why, think it sat in the wrong place. anyway, i was dying to scratch all night but refrained because, well, you know......can't be seen to be doing that in public. then suddenly it got too much to bear so i ran into the house and into the kitchen without looking and stood there scratching myself frantically , with my face all screwed up with that pleasure pain thing going on, i think i was even using both hands. then i looked up and all my aunties and my mum and some cousins were just standing there watching me. of course, i didn't hear them because i think there was a stunned silence, and i didn't see them because i had my eyes shut.
now that is embarassing!!!

I had this when i was pregnant with dd i had to go on anti biotics cause it can cause you to go into premature labour.
